Positive experience: I usually just grab bouquets from the grocery store, but I wanted something nicer for a special occasion recently. I was pleasantly surprised by Talisman—the arrangement was actually fresh, like 'lasted almost two weeks' fresh, not the wilting stuff you sometimes get from online giants. I really appreciated the email updates letting me know exactly when it was delivered; it took the stress right out of the process. The only minor thing is that it’s not the cheapest option in Kanata, but for the quality and the peace of mind, it’s worth the extra few bucks.

Fantastic experience: Jack at Talisman Florist is wonderful. He did all the floral arrangements for my dad's funeral and they were beautifully done. I just ordered another bouquet from him for my mom and it was also superior quality and a gorgeous arrangement. I would highly recommend this florist.

Negative experience: As sad as it is to say, I feel as though this place has significantly gone down in quality and quantity regarding custom bouquets, and their service has gotten ridiculously slow (~20-30 mins for a small bouquet). I am not sure if it is under new management or what has happened as of the last 6-12 months, but I am now receiving way less flowers when I order bouquets, and the flowers themselves are in worse shape than they have been. In specific, the last few times I have gone, a newer, older Asian woman has given me a hard time about my price point, either trying to convince me to pay more or telling me she will barely give me anything for my price point. Around a year and a half to two years ago, $40 would get me the most amazing bouquet I've seen, and I always felt extremely satisfied with the quality and quantity. Now, it barely gets me a bouquet in the first place, typically resulting in 1 main flower, maybe 2 if it's already wilting, and a small amount of filler around it. At this point, it is not worth going to this shop anymore, and I would be much happier spending my money at Costco or some other retailer. Im sorry, but I hope this shop takes a turn in a better direction because they are only driving customers away.

Fantastic experience: Walking in to the time I left was a real pleasure the entire time. I was greeted by two staff, we were surrounded by incredible plants and flowers. The questions I had caught the owner's attention and he (Jack) bee-lined with a huge welcoming smile and great energy straight to me to help. The pleasant nature was perfect for the place and of all the florists I could have gone to I'm extremely pleased I came here. I was given time and attention with amazing insights to the unique plant needs I had. The care and happiness brought forward was evident this energy went into everything I could not recommend talisman flowers enough.

Negative experience: My wife went in to purchase a flower arrangement for a bridal shower. She was greeted by a nice lady who began to help her with selections. An older man then interjected assuming that she was asking for something that she was not and was extremely rude, disrespectful and made discriminatory remarks. I have a purchased from this location a few times in the past, but after this display of disrespect and the total lack of customer care we will never return to this location.

Fantastic experience: My husband has been sending me flowers from Talisman for the past couple of months and each bouquet has been stunning. I've never had flower arrangements like these. They are truly extraordinary. The colours are just popping and mindblowing. Renée, who delivers the flowers, is super nice and friendly. She always has a huge smile on her face. I love receiving flowers from them. If you want the treat someone to the best flower bouquet they will ever have, go with Talisman! You won't regret it!! When I called the store, a very polite, kind person explained the situation. He immediately took ownership of the problem, gave me a rebate without asking or hesitation, and delivered beautiful flowers to the family member. Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience at the Talisman Flower Shop. My husband and I live in Renfrew and travelled to the flower shop. Jack the owner was incredibly professional and helpful in guiding us to choose the right flowers. He patiently listened to our preferences and offered great suggestions. He is so attentive to detail. We gifted the bouquet of flowers to a relative who is having a milestone birthday. We were very surprised to receive an email yesterday informing us the flowers were out for delivery. The receiver sent us six photos of the flowers. She is absolutely delighted with the absolutely gorgeous and vibrant super fresh bouquet in the blue cobalt vase. Overall, our experience at the flower shop was fantastic just like it has always been in the past. Jack and his staff have exquisite taste and take the time to design stunning and thoughtful floral arrangements for any occasion. There is an impeccable flower selection. A couple of weeks ago I received a very last minute invitation to a private family gathering for a young family member who had passed away suddenly. I called and spoke with Jack, the owner. I told him I was literally getting in my car to go to this gathering but really wanted to bring flowers. He told me not to worry and to just to stop in on my way. Fifteen minutes later I picked up the most beautiful, thoughtful arrangement. Couldn't believe it. Fantastic experience: I had decided to fly home this year for Christmas and surprise my family. I ordered flowers to be picked up Christmas Eve after I arrived from Vancouver. My connecting flight from Toronto to Ottawa was canceled, meaning I wouldn't get to Ottawa before the shop closed. The team at Talisman went above and beyond, even offering to deliver them (well over 40 minutes away). Fantastic experience: We used Tallisman flowers for our wedding this past weekend - and to say they were beautiful was an understatement. We ordered 2 bridal bouquets, 9 bridesmaid bouquets, a bunch of boutineers, corsages, flower petals, babies breath bundle and 50 bud vases. The owner hand delivered them to us, and had everything nicely packaged so they wouldn’t get damaged. He ensured we knew the care instructions as well. All night everyone was raving about how beautiful the flowers looked. And I couldn’t be more appreciative of the team and their hard work!

The whole process was easy and their prices are very reasonable. I placed the order Saturday night and it was delivered promptly on Monday morning as I requested. I live across the country from the recipients and was a bit concerned. No worries anymore, and now I have a “go to” florist in Kanata that I can trust.

But, when she received “A full life” floral arrangement in a basket, I ordered and purchased for her - - she was so SO happy & said “Jenny dear, these are the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen, or I have ever been gifted with, in my life!!!” They made a very dejected woman so happy!!! Positive experience: Not too pleased. Looked at reviews of many Florist shops in Ottawa, and this one had decent reviews, but I don't agree with it. I ordered a bouquet, chocolate and teddy bear bundle. The bouquet arrived but the other items didn't. I had to call them and inquire why. And they provide no estimate of arrival time, so you have no clue when your items are getting delivered. Could be 10am or 4pm. Edit: I've ordered from here again, and it was just flowers. But the flowers looked great, and were delivered earlier than estimated. I'll up my rating from 2/5 to 4/5.

Positive experience: Ordered flowers bouquet from here twice recently. First time, the followers were ok and can last for three weeks but second time the flower bouquet was really bad. I ordered the Designer choice for Valentine’s Day and I chose the premium so I paid more, I thought there will be many red roses inside, but there were many greenery and only few roses in it. I know the bouquet will be different than the picture on the website, but, it really does not looks like a thing for Valentine’s Day. And the flowers are not fresh at all, it even cannot last for just one week. I will never order the designer choice bouquet again here

I ordered an arrangement of sunflowers for delivery (as I live hours away) for the first birthday of my friend's still birth daughter (her and her husband associate sunflowers to her). I explained that sunflowers are mandatory and couldn't have any substitutions (as many florists/online florists will substitute sunflowers with yellow gerbers). Talisman Flowers was quick to calm my concerns and ensured sunflowers would be provided. The arrangement that was delivered to my friend and husband was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and was definitely more than what the sample picture appeared to be. All the staff were kind and understanding and beyond helpful. I highly recommend Talisman Flowers for anyone in the Ottawa area. The customer service alone was amazing, let alone the BEAUTIFUL arrangement they went above and beyond for.

Fantastic experience: I purchased a bouquet of flowers for my best friend’s birthday that was meant to be delivered on the 29th of July. It was accidentally delivered on the 26th, so another bouquet was sent on the actual scheduled day. Neither I or my friend were inconvenienced by this mishap, but I appreciate the gesture to correct the mistake. My friend loved both bouquets—attached to this review is a picture of the one that came on the 26th, which was absolutely gorgeous (so was the one that came on the 30th). I had ordered while in another country and still the communication and service was incredible. So, thank you so much Talisman Flowers for helping make my best friend’s birthday special twice!!

I basically told them I wanted orange, blue, white and yellow flowers and they put together the most beautiful arrangement, it was perfect.
