Fantastic experience: I ordered a bouquet of flowers last minute on New Years Eve after 1-800-FLOWERS failed to deliver. There was a sudden death in the family and it was important to us that these flowers be delivered before the new year, though we fully understand the huge ask that we had. Almost immediately Richard called me back to verify a few things on the order to ensure we created the best bouquet possible for the unfortunate situation. I do not live in Barrie, while the recipient does, so I had not been aware of this business previous to now. Some of the orders came from the U.K and B.C and I was pleased to let my relatives know how beautiful the flowers were. The arrangements are so artistic and carefully created. I highly recommend this florist.

Fantastic experience: I just can't rave enough about the excellent customer service and stunning flowers I received from Richard. i ordered 125 white roses for my daughter's wedding and then decided needed more and he was happy to add another 25 to my order a few weeks later. As I was arranging the boquets an centrepieces myself, Richard was a huge help with his tips and tricks and the roses lasted 3 whole weeks so we had fresh roses adorning our houses while the newlyweds cruised the Caribbean! Everyone I run into has to hear about his shop from me.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with The Studio at Barrie Flowers. My fiancé ordered a bouquet for my bridal shower meant to be preserved — but the roses were already wilted and browning when I received them. They never bloomed, and by the time we planned to preserve them, it was too late. Despite providing clear inspiration for a hand-held bouquet, it arrived in a large, water-filled vase — completely impractical for me to carry in front of 60 guests. The presentation was not what we discussed, and it felt thoughtless. When we brought up our concerns, there was no sincere apology or accountability — just an offer for replacement flowers, which did nothing to fix the moment that had already been lost. We requested a refund but were met with resistance. I would not recommend this business for any important event. The lack of care and professionalism was incredibly disappointing.

Negative experience: I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience with The Studio at Barrie Flowers. My fiancé ordered a bouquet for my bridal shower with the intention of preserving the flowers — something that was meant to be a meaningful and lasting keepsake. Unfortunately, the moment was completely ruined. The roses were already wilted and browning when they were given to me. They never opened or bloomed, and their condition only worsened in the following days. By the time we were meant to preserve them, it was impossible. We’ve attached photos to show exactly how they looked. While we were offered replacement flowers, at that point the purpose had already been lost — no replacement could fix it. On top of that, the presentation was not at all what we discussed. Despite providing clear inspiration photos for a hand-held bouquet, the flowers arrived in a large, heavy vase filled with water — something never mentioned or approved. Expecting me to carry that around in front of 60 guests at my bridal shower was unreasonable and completely missed the mark. There was no wrapping or thoughtful presentation, which made the bouquet feel like an afterthought rather than the special moment it was supposed to be. When we reached out to explain our concerns, the response lacked sincerity or accountability. There was no real apology, just a basic offer to replace the flowers, which didn’t address the emotional impact or missed moment. We requested a refund, which we feel is fair under the circumstances, but were met with resistance. This was a once-in-a-lifetime moment that can’t be recreated, and I wouldn’t recommend The Studio at Barrie Flowers to anyone planning something meaningful. The lack of care, communication, and professionalism was deeply disappointing.

Fantastic experience: In late January (my apologies, Richard, for this late posting) I placed an order for something special to be delivered the next day for a family member. I explained the circumstances and what I had in mind never imagining what a truly stunning arrangement it would be. What a lift it gave the person receiving it. I called to express my gratitude and during our conversation Richard mentioned that due to a snowstorm the roads and shop parking lot were clogged, the shop itself had no heat and the computer system was down. Those were the circumstances he had been working in but he still made sure my order was completed and had been delivered. My call expressing my gratitude made his day but it made me appreciate even more the lengths he had gone to with that arrangement. So however you choose to do it, please ensure people who go above and beyond, as this shop is known for, are made aware of the difference they made. I had tried to post this at the time but the system was still down and then life got in the way. Just know, I would not hesitate to highly recommend the amazing talents of those at The Studio.

He worked with me and even took the time to write out by hand the message I wanted to send when it didn't fit on the card. This shop went over and above for me and I am appreciative.

Fantastic experience: I'd say THE top florist in Barrie. I've had multiple occasions to use Barrie Flowers, all from afar (I live in Vancouver and sending to family in Barrie) and being that I can't actually visit the shop, I have to trust the arrangements will be good. After years of trial and error and never being truly happy with other shops, I came across Barrie Flowers and my family's feedback on the first was 'gorgeous..you can't believe how gorgeous these are." That sealed the deal and they have since followed through with continued stunning arrangements (I always choose th the florist's choice option, allowing them to be creative and use the freshest flower available). I also LOVE that this is a small, owner-operated shop and not an impersonal corporate giant like you know who (hint: Starts with F, middle initial T, and last initial D).

Fantastic experience: This is the first time ordering from Barrie Flowers 649 and I am very impressed! They called me to see if my mom was home as she lives in an apartment building. They were accommodating and worked with me to ensure my mom got her flowers. They called me back to let me know they were able to get into the building but had to leave them at my mom's door (I found out later my mom was at an appointment ‍♀️). I really appreciated that! I went with Florist's Choice Daily Deal and my mom loves the arrangement! It is absolutely beautiful. I will definitely use Barrie Flowers 649 again.

They called me to verify I would be home and diverted the delivery to my work address as I was not going to be home to receive them. Several days later I could see the hydrangeas were seriously drooping. I called Karin at Barrie Flowers and she apologized and offered to replace the bouquet. I told it it was not necessary as the rest of the bouquet was still very viable. She insisted and I told her I would be happy to pick them up. She told me no, that's not how they do things, she wanted to make it right. I was delighted and some days later a brand new bouquet was delivered. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend ordering from Barries Flowers 649. From customer service to the quality of the flowers I ordered was excellent. I ordered flowers for a friend who was recovering from surgery. We had to work around her appointments to ensure she'd be home for the delivery. Richard worked to ensure that she got her flowers, and she did! It was a beautiful surprise for her.

Negative experience: Absolutely, worst customer service ever. Walked in at around 10AM on Saturday morning, inquiring about a bouquet of flowers for approximately $100. The worker at the counter told me she would not be able to help me and offered an old, withered bouquet. She then mumbled to herself that she is bad at customer service. I told her she was absolutely right and then left. Went to Zehers across the street and purchased a Beautiful pre-made bouquet that fit my needs perfectly. I understand that i'm walking off the street looking for some flowers. But I was not picky about what I could get on short notice. If the person working at the store was a little bit more friendly, Barrie Flowers 649 would be more successful.

Negative experience: Great flowers, horrible service by 1 particular employee. I went in to look around and get some flowers as a present. The one employee was so extremely pushy by starting the conversation by saying "so how much do you want to spend" in the rudest way possible and just rifling off prices at me before I even started looking around. She kept pushing me to get something and didn't let me just look around. She made me feel extremely uncomfortable and I'll never go back as long as I see her working there. I feel bad though because it was only one employee I dealt with that soured the whole experience and I'm sure the others are much nicer considering the reviews. I do also want to say that the flower arrangements were beautiful and i did really like a lot of what they had.

Negative experience: I ordered flowers for Valentine’s Day The roses were OK, but was expecting a box as is typical. I also ordered 2 chocolate gifts along with the roses. Lindor Friendship Heart 63g was delivered with the roses (Lindt 5 pieces @ $14.95). and Box of Chocolates $15.95 (no other description provided) The second box did not show up with the delivery, I called the office and I told the owner it was missing. I was understanding because it was Valentine’s Day and asked it be sent out later. The driver (owners husband) returned about an hour later with the wrong item, I gave it back and asked for the correct one and would be ok having it delivered next day or even just giving me credit for it and call it a day. It is now one week and dead silence. No phone call, no email, no chocolates. That is not a great experience. All I ask is just a refund for the item not received.

Negative experience: TERRIBLE Customer service! I drive to the place because I needed flowers for a special occasion. The employee tells me that the main fridge has a problem overnight and all the flowers were frozen therefore he just received a special delivery to restock. I am there to spend money and he tells me that he doesn't to serve me as he has to put flowers away. They were all in buckets of water and what I needed was relatively simple. Bad bad service and business ethic. I don't recommend this place!!!! in his reply below the owner/manager is trying to sweeten the situation by saying that the flowers they had were frozen. TOTALLY false the employee clearly said to be that he had just received new flowers. It was later in the day when I was there. Really bad customer service and they can't own their mistake as you can see... Not worth going there at ALL!!!!
