Fantastic experience: Great help with late request...

Fantastic experience: We used Lorna Davies as the florist for my Mum’s funeral, choosing the pink lily & rose coffin spray. We can’t put into words just how beautiful the flowers were, and how perfectly they matched the image on the website/brochure. The funeral had over 100 attendees and so, so many people commented on the quality and design of the flowers. The staff in the stop were absolutely wonderful and very supportive too. I’d highly recommend this company.

I rung up the day before and I was in a bit of a state about getting flowers for New Year’s Eve funeral They bent over backwards to help me by even delivering them and meeting the funeral director at crematorium Everyone commented about the beautiful flowers I’m so grateful to them and think they are a great business

Negative experience: Simple request, or so I thought, for a funeral. A small selection of specific flowers, is what i requested. 4 large sunflowers & something similar to a large daisy, along with 4 yellow roses. When I arrived at shop, I was shown 4 sunflowers & 4 yellow flowers, no idea what they were & 4 yellow roses. I pointed out i requested, 1 flower similar to a large daisy, a white daisy along with sunflowers. At this point, it was clear she was not happy with me pointing this out & that the 4 yellow flowers was not what i wanted. I also noticed the tips on the outside petals on the yellow roses, were brown, so I asked if there was others available, she tried to tell me that is normal for the outside petals to be brown. I didn't agree so again asked for different ones. I also asked for something white to go in front of the sunflowers. I explained again what I was looking for. She said there was nothing else but I had noticed small flowers on wavy stems, don't know what they are called but were exactly like daisy's. I said they would do & look nice resting on the sunflowers, with a small hessian bow or string to tie, holding them in place. She looked at me as if I had asked for something ridiculous & said she didn't have anything & that it was down to me to arrange & tie the flowers. Correct me if I am wrong but is that not one of the reasons a person uses a florist, to have flowers arranged & presentable. She then grabbed a bunch of the daisy like flowers, laid them on the sunflowers, picked the flowers up & squashed all the flowers together, & i do mean squashed them between the stalks of the sunflowers, saying you want them like this! With a ridiculous grin on her face. Now remembering they had been told these were for a funeral, a funeral of a young man. I felt totally disrespected & disgusted with her attitude. I told her, I did not need this & she was so disrespectful, then she started laughing at me! I walked out at that point. Knowing what these flowers were for & to be treated like that, is disgusting! I most definitely would not be recommending this florist, especially at a time of mourning, clearly she has no sympathy for what people are going through!!

The lady that served us asked us what we needed, the tailored it to our needs and it was ready in 15 minutes at a very fair price.
