The recipient (whose number they had for delivery) unexpectedly ended up staying in the hospital several days past the original delivery date, and the store called to let me know and held the flowers for nearly a week after speaking to the recipient. While crying, I explained that she loves hydrangeas, wanted to send something tasteful, not huge and gaudy, just something that is beautiful, and might lift her spirits.
