And the bouquet itself was so beautiful!! Thanks for all your help, great team, absolute 10/10!

Expérience négative: My sister lives out of town and sent flowers to me for my birthday this year. The bouquet I received was a surprise and it was lovely, but it died three days after receiving it I reached out to the wonderful l customer service and they asked me to send pictures of the flowers that were dead so they could send me replacements. I offered to bring the entire bouquet into them so they could see which they quickly offer to replace. The next day they sent another bouquet. As I said wonderful customer service! Sadly, that bouquet also began to die the very next day I removed the dead flowers, which included the centre hydrangea and two stems of hellebores hoping perhaps it was just random stems. We’re now five days later, and the roses are gone even the carnations, which are always the last to die have not survived well. Such a disappointment the replacement card clearly stated they were fresh flowers. How could that be? My question is shouldn’t $140 bouquet last more than a few days? It’s always been my experience, even buying flowers from a street vendor unwrapped - the flowers always last more than a week. Although I do appreciate the customer service at Poppies I cannot give a better rating due to the product.

Expérience négative: My husband and I got our wedding flowers done by Poppies in September 2009 and have been supporting this business ever since and have always had outstanding service and bouquets. I am one that always like to try to present good vibes, be positive and support other local business’ as I am a senior staff employee myself at a well known local business in Victoria. I had a dozen white and blush flowers delivered to my workplace on Valentines Day and unfortunately we noticed one blush rose was missing, (second time this has happened actually but with previous owners just fyi). there was already browning on some of the white roses and we did not receive any flower food. (Unless you do not give any anymore?) We followed up with Poppies and Denise called us back Tuesday Feb 17th 2026 and spoke to my husband. You said you would give us a discount on our next order, but you never clarified what that would be on the phone and my husband asked you to send clarification on this via email. We have still received nothing from While I completely understand mistakes happen- you not following through with us is not a very good feeling after spending a decent amount on your floral art bouquet. We have always recommended Poppies to our family/friends and clients over the years but unfortunately we are now questioning this moving forward. A reminder to please double check your bouquets before they leave your premises for delivery.

She made it so easy for me, asked the right questions to ensure the arrangement was how I wanted it & was especially kind. She kindly even sent me a photo & the artists on the team surpassed what I could even imagine for a floral arrangement. Stellar job at such a great price range! I contacted the shop with photos by email to be told the flowers were good. If I was unhappy I could bring the arrangement into the store and they would replace what they thought needed replacing. I live out of town so not easy. After day two I composed the roses. Not happy

Expérience négative: I’ve received beautiful bouquets from Poppies so I ordered a bouquet for a friend for a special event. I ordered the “florists choice” and thought it would be extra special potentially using in season flowers (note: this was in the spring). Instead the bouquet was just filler flowers and greenery (specifically something that looked like alstroemeria and some green leaves). When I looked at the choose-your-own flowers in their cooler the bouquet would’ve cost $15 if I had put it together myself (instead of the $65 I spent). I tried to gently, respectfully ask if it would be possible to add any focal or secondary flowers and was told “if I wanted a specific bouquet I should’ve ordered a specific bouquet”. It was just a disappointing experience all around. Updated response: yes it was months ago. The reason why I posted now is because someone told me they had attended a bouquet making workshop at Poppies and they were taught every bouquet needs to have a focal flower and secondary flowers and then filler flowers and then greenery. I had tried to give that feedback in my conversation when I picked up the bouquet and felt like I was dismissed. To find out later that the bouquet standard for Poppies is to have diversity of “special”, “secondary”, and “filler” fliers and then be given just a fully filler flowers bouquet just felt poor. I’m sorry to say but even your response saying “if we had known earlier…” I immediately had had a conversation when I picked up the bouquet. It’s just adding to the disappointment. Again, I know Poppies can make beautiful stunning bouquets but the customer service has been just a weird experience for me.

Expérience positive: I've always received lovely bouquets of flowers from Poppies usually sent from my children (who live out of the country), but this most recent bouquet for Mothers' Day was a big disappointment. It must also have been an expensive one as there were 2 orchid stems in the arrangement. Everything began to droop after 2 days and as you can see the roses never opened and one of the orchid blooms fell off upon opening the cellophane. I'm not sure whether the volume of requests for Mothers' Day was the reason for this substandard arrangement or not but I've come to expect a beautiful and lasting arrangement from Poppies and this was definitely not up to the usual standard. Thank you for replacing my previous bouquet of flowers. It is 3 days since receiving it and except for the wilted white hydrangea, despite its own source of water, it has remained just as beautiful as the day I received it and doesn't show any signs of drooping. Thank you for restoring my faith in Poppies!!!

Expérience négative: This place has got to be kidding. I absolutely loathe local businesses who try to rip people off. Not only were their indoor plants priced sooooo high but after Mother’s Day there weren’t any flowers yet, which cool yeah I get it, but they charged like $80 for a dying leftover bouquet and a crazy amount for the tiniest Lily or the Valley sprig. It was so disappointing to see the sales people try to sell them to customers. Do better.

Andrea was so helpful and accommodating… my husband and I were a bit picky about the types of flowers we wanted (ie no roses, ranunculus, etc), so I was a little worried about how the bouquets and boutonnières would turn out… but she knocked it out of the park! I loved everything about the flowers, and I got a million compliments about them throughout the night and afterwards. The care she put into putting the bouquets together was incredible… from sourcing different flowers, to the genius way the flowers were in water even while in the bouquets… if I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I also thought her pricing was more than reasonable. Poppies is my go to florist in Victoria from now on.

Harmony spent about 15 minutes with me, going through the shop looking at flowers and talking about my vision. She was so enthusiastic about the challenge and she really seems to understand the importance to me. When I came by a few days later to pick up the bouquet, I was completely blown away. She not only NAILED IT but she made it better than I could have imagined. My partner absolutley LOVED the bouquet and everyone who saw was amazed by it. I couldn't offer you a stronger recommendation. These folks are the best in the business.

The Red Cedar Cafe is a non-profit providing over 65,000 meals annually to members of our community facing food insecurity. We were so insanely grateful to see a local business care so much about helping the community. Andrea made our lives so easy by working with our colour scheme and even handling communication with the venue to figure out seating arrangements and what would be needed for the space. In the end, she decided on 30 smaller decorative arrangements that complimented the event so well and didn't pose blocked visibility for our guests. In the end, our guests were able to provide a donation to take home 1 of these 30 arrangements, which generated even more funds for our cause! We can not express enough how thankful we are to Poppies Floral Art for everything they did for us!

I was debating trying to make my own bouquet for my wedding but decided it would be better to get the professionals to do it, and I am so glad I did! I didn't have a super strong vision when it came to specific flowers or designs, so I sent a few inspiration images and they absolutely nailed the execution. All from one phone call and a Pinterest board! My bouquet was more beautiful than I could have hoped, and my husband's boutonniere was perfect. I will say I wasn't terribly gentle with my bouquet throughout the day and I did loose a decent number of flowers over time. However, it was so packed full of flowers even with a few fallen out it looked full and gorgeous.

Expérience fantastique: I first heard of Poppies Floral Art through a friend who booked them for their September 2024 wedding. I attended my friend’s first meeting with Andrea as a bridesmaid. I was impressed by Andreas attention to detail and expertise. She listened to all my friend’s questions and wishes and had great ideas and feedback. I was also planning for my August 2024 wedding. My aunt was currently taking care of the flowers for my wedding, but I decided to book a meeting with Andrea and get a quote as a backup. Despite being extremely busy, Andrea was able to meet with me and was very present. She was very flexible providing different quotes based on what Poppies and my aunt would be responsible for. She was very patient with all my emails and follow up meetings and provided great ideas and frequently adjusted the quote. Around May / June, I realized that the artificial flowers provided by my aunt did not meet my vision. I was able to meet with Andrea a few more times and she took on boutonnières, pew bows, bud vases, bridal party bouquets, and three additional floral arrangements. She was always conscious of working in my price range and had great ideas on how to incorporate the turquoise, dark teal, and orange colour theme I had for the wedding. She also made sure that there were specific spaces for us to add two additional flowers in our Scottish family clan tartans during the ceremony. She was also able to incorporate some of the artificial flowers provided by my aunt, and find ribbons in the colours that I requested. I also provided a bag of additional flowers and feathers that she could use but gave no instructions and assumed that they wouldn’t be used. Instead, Andrea and her team got creative and used them to amplify the beauty of every floral arrangement. I am in awe of Andrea’s confidence and skills and of the talents of her team. Her kindness and patience despite such a busy work load was astounding! I would highly recommend Poppies Floral Art to anyone for any occasion. We chose the ribbon color circled in red in the second picture, but when I picked my corsage on Friday, the ribbon color was different showed in the first picture. I first phone called them and told them the ribbon color was different. We told me to bring it back and they’ll change it. Then, we went back and chose the color we initially chose but the second time they still did the ribbon color wrong showed in the third picture. It was my prom night and I was so disappointed.

Expérience fantastique: Hands down, an absolutely FANTASTIC florist to deal with! My wife and I live in Newfoundland and order flowers for my parents in Victoria several times a year. Unfortunately this year, my mother ended up being hospitalized on the delivery date so I had to contact Poppies at the last minute. The representative rescheduled the delivery for a week later without question. Once again, when the delivery date came, my mother was still in hospital so they rescheduled the delivery yet again. Due to these delays and Christmas day in the rearview mirror, several of the flowers in the arrangement we ordered were not in stock so, they customized the it to an absolutely beautiful bouquet and we are thrilled with it! Excellent customer service!

Ordered today for a colleague from a group of us from Canada and the US - very impressed with the ease of ordering with their online system, and quick delivery (we were told there's no guarantee it could be same day in an automated message). It was delivered 4 hours later. Wonderful!

I don't live in Victoria, but Poppies went to figure out which hospital to bring the flowers and how to get it to the person... Wow!

Expérience fantastique: Poppies did my wedding last weekend and WOW! Andrea and her team really knocked it out of the park. The flowers were more than I could have dreamed of and their service was top notch. Would give 10 stars if I could.

Expérience négative: They have a variety of plants, the person who attended us was very kind, but when the owner saw the bouquet that they had made for us, she began to take away many things, saying that we were not paying enough. She was very rude. I definitely do not recommend going and we will not return either.

Expérience fantastique: Poppies did the arrangements for our anniversary party at Hatley Castle. Andrea was really wonderful to work with. She created beautiful table arrangements that worked within our budget. She really captured the look I wanted to create for that specific venue. She also used mostly local flowers to reduce the environmental impact. I wished I would have used Poppies for our wedding 10 years ago. I really appreciated the time she took a few days before the event to work with me to ensure everything I wanted was captured.

She is great with problem solving and coming up with great ideas!! All I can say Andrea made our day the most magical day!! Her work is one of a kind. I can’t imagine anyone else could have done the same for us!!

Expérience négative: I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my mom's birthday. I order one every year from different Florists as we live in Ontario and this is by far the most underwhelming arrangement she has received to date....$75 worth of hand-cut flowers (almost $100 with tax and delivery without a vase)?? We have gotten better flowers from Thriftys for half that price. They were pleasant on the phone at least but will have to remember not to order from here again.

Expérience fantastique: I ordered a flower crown from Poppies for a special event, and it came out absolutely fantastic!! I had sent some photos of my dress so that the colours of the crown would match, and also some photos of the style of crown I was interested in, and they really nailed it!! The crown was stunning, it matched my dress wonderfully and it really brought my whole look to the next level! The crown also dried nicely and now I have a beautiful keepsake from the event to remember it by. Would high recommend this place! <3

Expérience fantastique: I had an outstanding experience at this gorgeous shop Tuesday May 24th. I raced in about 7 minutes before closing looking for a bouquet- I didn't realize they only make custom ones. The florist didn't even hesitate before offering to make one for me. I watched as she lingered in the cooler, choosing each flower, berry and piece of greenery with care. She made the most elegant arrangement- it was absolutely perfect. She handled this situation with such kindness and grace- I didn't feel for a second like an inconvenience (which I obviously was). I didn't ask her name which I sincerely regret, but I hope she reads this and feels truly appreciated! You made my day and helped me show my love for a very special person.

When I first met Claire and went through ideas with her, she got exactly what I was looking for and managed to get a number of beautiful flowers that I loved. They were very conscious of budget while still pulling out all the stops even sourcing my favourite flowers, peonies, on the shoulder season. Claire and Claire did a fantastic job installing the flowers and putting together boquets. It was even better than I could have imagined and completely made my day. Expérience fantastique: I ordered a bouquet of flowers Friday night, and they were able to deliver it the very next day. Not only that, but they promptly contacted me to double check an error on the note going with the flower. The flowers were beautiful and fresh. Would definitely recommend.
