I had the priviledge of being a part of Floristry 101 and it was truly the highlight of my week going to these classes. The material that was covered was so helpful and spaced out so well, with each class having a great balance of knowledge sharing and getting an opportunity to practice. Victoria is a fantastic teacher and overall such a lovely person. During the classes she always made sure to provide 1-1 support where needed and provide thoughtful feedback. I've made some amazing connections coming out of this course, that I still stay in touch with. If you're considering signing up for the courses, I would wholeheartedly recommend it. You will learn so much, in such a great environment!

Victoria is so knowledgeable and caring about the floral industry. Her passion & dedication to the growth of her students is so apparent every class. The course is thorough and leaves you wanting more (that's why 102!). I got to create some stunning arrangements with premium stems in the 6 weeks that I was proud to show off to friends and family. Beyond the course, Victoria is friendly and has an amazing shop that is so good for special holiday gifts. The shop also sells many cute little items that I couldn’t resist buying. The shopkeepers are very friendly as well. It’s definitely the kind of place that will turn you into a regular after just one visit.

Each week we worked with beautiful fresh flowers, learned different techniques, and created stunning arrangements that I was actually proud to take home. The course covers all the basics you need to begin your floral journey and so much more. I left there with a better understanding of handling flowers, the industry, fundamentals and skills, and the principles of design. But most of all I left with a new found confidence. I've already signed up for Floristry 102 as soon as it was available. Victoria guided me on several occasions outside of the classroom about sole proprietorship, wholesalers, networking, and how to build a portfolio. I'd reach out for questions, and she'd reply. I'm happy to say that because of her help, I was employed, booked my own event, and doing freelance wedding work all within 5 months of taking her class. I still make frequent visits to her shop as often as I can. There's always a cheerful and knowledgeable staff to greet me. It's clean, bright and full of whimsical, and quality gift ideas. The bath bombs and shower steamers are my favourite. The cooler offers beautiful local blooms and impeccably made hand tied bouquets. Victoria always takes the time to have conversation with me every time I go to her boutique. She likes to check in to see how I'm progressing and what I'm up to. So convenient to pickup and they were so helpful to accommodate the earliest pickup time. At first I debated doing my own bouquet, but realized that putting flowers together was another step I did not need to take, and I am so glad I came to that conclusion because I could have never done anything half as good as they did.

Having received (& ordered) flowers for 30 years, I was immediately surprised by how light the bouquet felt. Upon opening it, one of the carnations was already wilted. I googled the bouquet and learned that it was $100 before delivery. I was disappointed by the above and reached out to the floral shop to find out they blocked me! Poor customer service too!

The shop was able to accommodate virtual classes for me and it worked out so well. Although I was the only one joining virtually I did not feel left out or ignored. Tina (the shop owner and teacher) made sure to include me in every part of the class and made sure I received all the attention I needed. Expérience négative: Expensive and not even value for money in terms of product quality: I was very excited last year to shop and visit Living Fresh as I live very close to it and was eager to support a local business. I bought a hanging terracotta pot with an ivy plant potted in it and while it was very expensive (the pot was over 30 CAD excluding the plant), I was happy because it added so much color to my living room. The ivy plant however didn't trail as I was told (it's almost a year now) which isn't anyone's fault, I guess it just needs more time. My main disappointment is with the pot itself because the paint, and the inner clay layer of the pot just started peeling off in about 6 months and currently it looks so ugly and distasteful and creates a lot of mess everyday which we have to clean up. I have never seen terracotta flake away so quickly in my experience. I am just disappointed as I trusted I was buying a good quality product after spending so much money. I really don't know what to do with the pot right now.

Edit: Tina also did my wedding flowers and 100% of the time operated with an amazing amount of patience and professionalism. We weren't exactly on top of things when we needed to be but regardless she made everything happen. She came to our venue, set up all the flowers and then I assume she came back and set up all of the centre pieces as well after the ceremony. The important part here is that I never once worried or had to worry about the flowers or centre pieces because I knew that Tina would make it happen. Bottom line: Living Fresh was VERY easy to work with and they delivered 100% without a hitch.

Charging a labour fee for the flowers is ridiculous! I do not recommend this business and would advise to shop around.

I was so excited to come across this store during a BOGO 50% off sale and left feeling super happy about my new plants. I bought 2 x $36 plants, 1 $15, 1 x $12, and 2 x $5 and was confused when I got home and saw I had gotten 50% off the 3 least expensive plants ($11 off) instead of off the second plant of equal value ($26.50 off). When I contact Living Fresh they clarified that this is their policy for BOGO sales, but I'm feeling a bit duped. If I had made 3 separate purchases I would have ended up paying less. Definitely soured my experience. Also confused as to why the total on my credit card receipt is different than the total on the itemized receipt. Guess I'll have to wait and see how much I ended up paying!

I emailed living fresh regarding an appointment for wedding flowers and was told the first available appointment was 3 weeks away in the middle of the afternoon (2:00 p.m.). I am a busy professional so I booked my day around the appointment. One hour before on the day of the appointment I received an email cancelling because the florist needed to go out of town that day. Very disrespectful of my time. I will go somewhere else.

Expérience fantastique: They repotted my succulent and recommended some friends. They will also give you advice on how to best take care of your plants. Their succulents are affordable and so cute. You can also find some goodies and get gorgeous arrangements. I'm so happy I found this place and it's right downtown.

Tina was very nice and explained the error in the initial refund and said she'd take care of it. Much appreciated! ------- I was looking for a few stems of flowers to use for my hair on my wedding day. They helped me find what I was looking for but since it was a couple days before the event I paid a deposit so they'd keep the flowers for me. Later on I found some flowers somewhere else that I liked better so I called and I was told they could cancel my transaction so I bought the flowers somewhere else. It's been almost 4 weeks and I never got my money back.
