Upon placing my order, I provided clear and specific instructions through the designated “note to the store” section, emphasizing that my father, recently divorced and living alone, would greatly appreciate balloons as a thoughtful gesture. Given that the option to add balloons was unavailable on your platform, I made this heartfelt request in good faith, trusting it would be acted upon with care and sensitivity. Regrettably, rather than honoring this request, your team inexplicably printed the personal note in its entirety and delivered it alongside the gift, thereby disclosing sensitive personal details. This act demonstrated an alarming lack of professionalism, discretion, and basic human empathy. The effect on my father was deeply distressing, transforming what should have been a joyful celebration into an embarrassing and demoralizing experience. Moreover, the product itself was substandard and failed to meet the quality advertised. The cake, prominently marketed with gold embellishments on your website, arrived without the advertised decorative features, falling far below reasonable expectations for a premium-priced birthday gift. This misrepresentation constitutes a clear breach of consumer trust and violates basic principles of accuracy in advertising. In sum, your company’s mishandling of this order extended beyond mere oversight — it demonstrated a disregard for customer care, sensitivity, and adherence to the advertised product descriptions. The resulting emotional harm caused to my father and the considerable disappointment experienced by our family are inexcusable. Given these significant failures, I cannot in good conscience recommend Petalbox’s services. I will not be placing any future orders and will advise others against entrusting your company with meaningful or sentimental occasions. A thorough review of your operational procedures and staff training on customer service and privacy sensitivity is strongly recommended to prevent further instances of such thoughtless service.
