Negative experience: Shopped here before with no problems. Tried to place a Mother’s Day order. After I put in my credit card info a disclaimer popped up and said due to the high volume of orders I could only order designers choice also delivery only guaranteed by Monday. If you agree to these terms then proceed. I didn’t agree to the terms and left the page. Later I noticed a charge on my credit card for the flowers after I purchased elsewhere. I phoned the shop and explained the situation. She said she will investigate and call me back. When she called me back she said they don’t normally give refunds. She was extremely rude and said she will be charging me $20 for the inconvenience. She actually charged me $28. Very poor business practices. Tip for anyone wanting flowers. I went through instacart and purchased four dozen roses from Costco and had them delivered in an hour. Will never go through this florist again. She wasn’t disappointed. In fact she was over the moon. And this is the reason small businesses go out of business due to poor customer service. Asking for a refund due to unclear instructions is in no way threatening.

Negative experience: I picked Ladybug Floral because of the high reviews but unfortunately the flowers were very underwhelming. I paid a total $100 to have their $75 (before taxes) arrangement delivered. For that price I expected a lot more. They didn't even knock at the door when it was delivered. I thought for that amount I would get something a lot nicer than grocery store flowers but I could have gotten something very similar for a third of the price from Quality Foods or Country Grocer. Judging from the other reviews I'm guessing this was a once off? Sorry, Ladybug.

Fantastic experience: I ordered my mom some flowers from Ladybug floral, and I was so impressed! I live on the mainland so I didnt know what to expect. I gave them the colours, flowers and my budget, and told them to be creative from there. They gave her one of the most extravagant bouquets of flowers I have seen. Mom was very pleasantly surprised! Thank you! She said “you know I’m not good with technology but please leave them a 5 star review for me” :) Thanks again!

Fantastic experience: I’m out of province and have used Ladybug Floral twice for designer-choice flower bouquet 3 month subscriptions. The flowers have been absolutely stunning! Some of the best, full, fresh and long lasting bouquets ever! Sending fresh flowers is not cheap and you always worry about the quality but I definitely will continue to use this shop and would happily recommend to anyone who needs flowers in the Nanaimo area.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the most beautiful bouquet I have ever gotten!!! The picture doesn’t do it justice. My boyfriend in Michigan arranged a delivery from this lovely shop and the flowers are absolutely stunning. I needed to request delivery to my workplace instead of home address and the lady I spoke with on the phone had the most wonderful energy. Fantastic experience: Ladybug Floral is my go to florist in Nanaimo. Their staff is friendly, accommodating and communicative. Their flower arrangements are beautiful and never disappoint. I recently placed an order for 100 white roses for a wedding ceremony and I was so happy with the flowers they provided! The result was stunning!

Fantastic experience: I was struggling with having flowers delivered…the original place I went to “I will never go back” called me the day of my delivery and informed me they could no longer deliver because my order was simply lost in their system and they had just found it! “This was 2 hours before my delivery” I called this amazing store and told them my situation not only did they go above and beyond for me they sympathized for my situation. In my opinion 5 stairs isn’t enough I’m so thankful! And I’ll forever recommend and use them! Thank you for going above and beyond for me! You guys are amazing people you restored mg faith in humanity!

Negative experience: Terrible decision to choose this florist… Asked for one simple thing to be put in the arrangement eucalyptus they said no problem! NOT A SPRIG OF EUCALYPTUS AND SHE ASKED WHAT COLOURS I SAID PINK! Not a pink flower in the arrangement! Totally disappointed ☹️

Fantastic experience: I wanted to order some flowers for a friends special Birthday. I called Ladybug Florist and they guided me through my requirements for a design in a vase. The flowers were delivered on the day I requested and they checked with the recipient to ensure someone was home to receive the delivery. Fantastic experience: At the start of the pandemic, we used another long time local florist to send bouquets every two weeks to our mom who lived in a long term care facility. In a year and a half, we became increasingly dissatisfied with their floral arrangements and their ongoing failure to provide the type of bouquets we requested, so out of frustration we decided to try Ladybug. For the past 8 months we have been the happiest customers on the planet, and only wish we had switched to Ladybug Floral sooner. All Ladybug's arrangements have been stunningly beautiful, graceful, classy, and better than expected at a reasonable price point. Each bouquet was unique - delightfully varied with very tasteful colour combinations of the freshest and best in-season flora. Ladybug's staff always provided exceptional service, consulting and listening attentively to our wishes, even agreeing to send us photos of each bouquet we ordered for our mom as we live out of province. Throughout that time, everyone who saw their arrangements asked us who the florist was. When our mom passed, Ladybug created the most amazing large funeral sprays and a halo wreath of exquisite roses for the urn. The ladies of the parish who see many funeral flowers said they were the most gorgeous arrangements they had ever seen. We will always feel indebted to Ladybug for their exemplary services, especially their endlessly talented designer, Brittany.

Understand it’s coming up to Mother’s Day but I was hoping to send graduation flowers next week and didn’t even get the opportunity to say anything. Great way to lose customers with this type of customer service.
