Fantastic experience: On Friday, 9/5/2025, my husband and I finally went into "A Beautiful California Florist" in Downtown Long Beach, California, after living in the area for over 27 years. What a surprise! In addition to all the professionalism anyone would want, we found a "Hand Built Ceramic Vase Treasure!" As professional Mixed Media Fine Artists ourselves, it was of comparable aesthetic quality to pieces I had bought while working at "The Folk Art Museum" on Wilshire Blvd. in LA. Kudos to "A Beautiful California Florist" for focusing on Container Form as part of the total "Fine Art Floral Artwork." Something most other florists tend to ignore.

Fantastic experience: I have used ABC Florist in the past, and I called them once again when I needed flowers delivered to a funeral service. They were fantastic. After I placed my order with Dani, who was incredibly nice to talk to, I no longer had to worry about flowers. They took care of everything -- calling the church, sending the flowers on time, and taking a picture of the flowers to let me know it had been delivered. The flowers were beautiful and looked just like on their website. It was called The Shining Light bouquet. So very satisfied!

Fantastic experience: I live in Florida and wanted to surprise a very good friend with a dozen roses in her room when she boards today for a Princess cruise to Hawaii from Los Angeles. I’ve spent the last couple of days trying to arrange this through the cruise line, but after 2.5 hours on the phone, I found out it’s not possible. You can’t even book a spa treatment! I don’t understand that logic—it makes no sense. I even called the ship directly twice, and the cruise line, but no one could help. Finally, I reached out to a local florist yesterday and spoke to Tom. I called him again today, October 15th, and he’s making it happen before the ship departs at 3:00 p.m. What a great businessman and genuinely nice person! Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience ordering flowers. Tom made the whole process effortless and easy. I was having flowers delivered to International City Theatre's Corporate Offices. Tom was familiar with it and mentioned they'd delivered flowers there the week before. He knew right where it was and scheduled my delivery for "late afternoon" to ensure someone would be at the office to receive it. I wasn't sure what I wanted as far as flowers or an arrangement. Negative experience: I ordered beautiful roses from this florist on Mothers Day. Absolutely beautiful arrangement. The roses were dead in three days, brown and petals falling off. My wife and I smelled a scent of urine within two days in our new condo and we have no pets. When we poured the water out to to toss the dead roses, we realized that the urine smell was in the water that the beautiful roses were in. It was very similar to a nasty port-a-john in the hot sun. I then bought the same beautiful roses at a competitor (Vons) and they are still as beautiful as they were when I bought them a week later. BEWARE.

He allowed me to add anything I wanted on the arrangement. Pricing was very reasonable. The shop was well organized and clean. They greet you with a smile when you walk in. Fantastic experience: I have numerous friends who open in theatrical productions all over the country and I am always finding florists local to the theater where they are appearing to send them opening night flowers. But rather than just sending "flowers", my friends know that I always send flowers and cards curated to their particular role and/or show, I called A Beautiful California Florist (based on their high review rating) and spoke to Tom J. who listened to my extensive instructions as to how I wanted an arrangement (that I found on their website) altered to fit the particular show and floral illustration in the card that I was sending to the shop to go with the arrangement. Tom took all those requests and the arrangement that was created was perfect in all respects. And the plus was the shop sending a confirmation of delivery and photo (always an assurance when I am ordering across country).
