Positive experience: I came in town for a concert and the designer choice was disappointing. There were barely any white roses in the arrangement and the other flowers looked withered. I asked if I could have a different color floral wrap (black) but was presented with a piece of wrinkled purple tissue paper with a withered brown tie-like what?! It was embarrassing to present to my guests but I tried. I won’t be using Conklyn’s again when I’m in the area…

Fantastic experience: What a Fantastic Job! Placed the order online and it was delivered to recipient in less than an hour! The display was beautiful and made her very happy to have so much beautiful color in her home in the dead of winter! Thank You!

Negative experience: Disappointed! What I ordered on the phone vs delivery. Now granted the sales person who took my call was in the Philippines but he said it would be the same size and same flowers picture. And in online pic of what I ordered, I can see lots of roses and just packed with flowers much larger than the container with Pink red and white , next to the actual delivery very few roses with daises??Sparse floral arrangement only red and white and not as big compared to the container. Bummer. At least they were actual flowers and delivered, but I cannot recommend.

Fantastic experience: Ordering flowers for a florist can be difficult, but Conklyn's did it right! They have high quality flowers and great customer service.

Negative experience: Received a bouquet in a vase from them for my anniversary. It was ok, but honestly not the best. More than half of the flowers in the bouquet did not even reach to the half point of the vase. The stem lengths ranged from 3 inches to 9 inches. So, it was impossible to trim and take care in order to make the bouquet last. Seems like it was an afterthought made out of leftovers from some tabletop arrangements. Not the quality I was expecting from a high end florist.

Fantastic experience: I was amazed that I could order a bouquet and have it delivered the next morning. Many florists wouldn't be able to do that. I haven't seen the arrangement but was told it's beautiful. I was pleased when they didn't have enough yellow tulips in stock that they arranged for assorted tulips and didn't delay the delivery. They called to confirm before doing this. One bit of advice: when I called and hoped to speak directly to the person who had left me a message, I was told I couldn't be connected to a florist. It seems like this should have been able to be done. Regardless, I'll definitely use Conklyn's again.

Fantastic experience: I ordered a flower bouquet for my wife for our 50th wedding anniversary. The lady worked with me the recreate the flowers she carried for our wedding on she nailed it. Fantastic experience: Seamless order and delivery which is refreshing since in the past I've had issues with a larger flower online retailer when delivering to a campus. I had to call Conklyn's to add the recipient's dorm info which was handled by a very helpful woman. The delivery person was kind enough to send a text with photo upon delivery which was greatly appreciated. To add, the flowers were beautiful and did the job in putting a smile on the face of a GWU student.

Positive experience: Was promised by one person delivery by 1pm. They got there minutes before my wife left work at 4:30. Another person said they couldn’t promise times. Ok, fine. I'll live with the mixed messages. What I won't live with is what I got vs. what I paid for. The photos are of what I ordered vs. what she got (the 2nd photo). Like… they were not even the same flowers, and it was 80% greenery. Edit: The florist has reached out to me about a credit or refund. I'll likely use them again and edit this review. They were very nice in reaching out.

Positive experience: I ordered in the early hours of the morning and they delivered on time by 9am as I paid the extra fee for it. Service was helpful and friendly when I called before 9am to check order. Because you can’t see the flowers before they’re delivered of course, that’s my only concern - as you can see a photo of what my friend received and what I ordered. The bouquet received is not close considering in total I spent over $100, it’s disappointing. My friend loved the arrangement but they didn’t know how large it’s meant to be. There was barely any leaves or any roses which was what made me buy the bouquet. They added in flowers that weren’t supposed to be there. I wish they would have called and said they can’t complete the arrangement and give me an option to cancel or choose another with a available flowers. I did see other commentsof this happening but hoped the same wouldn’t happen to me. If you’re not particular about the flowers looking as expected then the service is good.

Negative experience: So disappointed with the flowers that were delivered for my brother’s fiancé as you can tell from the pictures, the ones delivered look nothing like the picture shown on the website. My brother and his girlfriend got engaged and I wanted a beautiful bouquet delivered to her as a congratulations. Unfortunately, the bouquet delivered looks very sad. She of course was happy, but with the money I spent.. it should look way better than what was delivered.

Positive experience: I didn't see the arrangement, so I can't comment on that. I was very glad the driver called to let me know he left it at the front door. I was very concerned that they may enter from the garage. I had my daughter in law call them, they never use the front door! I would suggest if the delivery person is going to leave flowers at the front door, they leave a note taped to the garage stating that. The $98 I spent would have been a total waste, especially in this heat. I'm sure this happens to others as well.

Positive experience: I ordered a cute bouquet to be delivered in a terracotta pot for my friend's patio. It was delivered in a cute wooden box which, while not what was ordered, was nice. More of a dining room table arrangement than one for the patio, but it worked.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered Mother’s Day flowers to be delivered the day before (I tried to give them time to deliver it because I figured Sunday would be busy for them). Saturday comes and goes with no sight of the flowers. Sunday I call multiple times to ask when the flowers would be delivered and to give me a call back ASAP, they said they’d get back to be (spoiler alert: they never did). Eventually, a neighbor from a few streets away brought it over, as it was delivered to their address by mistake on Saturday, and since the flowers had been sitting outside for 24 hours or more, they were completely sun-bleached and ruined. I called back a third time to explain what had happened and ask for a replacement, but of course, despite previously telling me they would get back to me, they had apparently all gone home. The receptionist told me she’d “let them know” and they’d “give me an update on my order tomorrow”. As one can probably guess, I was unsatisfied by this response. Tomorrow is not Mother’s Day. Today is, and they completely dropped the ball and left me and my mother on the hook. I am not a florist nor am I an expert in business, but Mother’s Day should be a slam dunk as it’s one of the main occasions for ordering flowers. Moral of the story: If you’ve got an anniversary or Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day or any other special day coming up, and you want to make sure everything goes well, I’d advise you to order your flowers elsewhere.

The table centerpieces were stunning and matched perfectly with the vibe and decor of the event space, and the sun flowers were just magnificent. Negative experience: Disappointed. The Golden Blue arrangement is simply full of greenery. Nothing like the photo online. I have ordered from them for years and have been disappointed the last few years.

Negative experience: I was introduced to Conklyns Flowers when I stopped by a couple years ago to make a mother‘s day bouquet, and I received such excellent service that I refined to either buy arrangements online or referred other friends. Today I went back in to get a bouquet for a graduation gift, And contrary to my first experience where I had such great service, it was extremely lacking this time around. The two ladies at the front didnt seem that interested in helping and I felt so uncomfortable and out of place that I left quite quickly. It doesn’t seem like it’s walk in friendly anymore.

Fantastic experience: I all of a sudden saw something on Facebook & realized that Tuesday, May 6th was Teacher Apppreciation Day and that my grown daughter who is an art teacher needed to be "appreciated." So I went online at 10:45 am to the Conkyn's web site and found a small bouquet for just $50 and had it sent to her elementary school in the Columbia Heights are of Washington DC. It was delivered to the school office a little after 1 pm! Now, that is amazing service. My daughter was so grateful not just to receive flowers but to get them :at work". To follow-up, Conklyns sent me a promo code for 10% off my next purchase. In a nutshell: lovely fresh flowers and a great price point delivered in record time!

Fantastic experience: Great experience ordering flowers from Conklyn’s. I live in Michigan and wanted to send flowers to my sister who lives in Washington DC. The flowers were delivered the day I wanted and the arrangement was beautiful. Also shoutout to the delivery person. My sister works from home and was in a meeting so she was not able to answer the door when the flowers were being delivered. She said the delivery person knocked on her apartment door for a while just to make sure the flowers were delivered to her. Overall, a wonderful experience and I will definitely use Conklyn’s again to send flowers in the DC area.

Negative experience: Really unattractive flowers. I receive flowers from Twin Towers Florist in Arlington and they are much higher quality. The leaves were all dirty and had white splotches all over them. They couldn’t be bothered to clean the leaves before sending out the bouquet.

Positive experience: Great selection of cut flowers and live plants. Have used Conklyn's for last 35 years - from courting my soon to be wife, to our 38th anniversary upcoming. Always the go to for Remembrance and occaisional faux pas. Thanks to Conklyn's!

Fantastic experience: I Ordered flowers for a funeral. I had requested specific colors and added a small American flag. I left the choice of flowers to Conklyns. The deceased was a veteran and 96 years old. When I arrived at the funeral home and saw my flowers, I was amazed! The arrangement was more than I could have ever imagined! Well done and beautiful. Positive experience: Third time's a charm? Three stars... A friend of ours was having a really rough time, and I pulled together funding from a group of friends and we spent over $100 on their “springtime Is here” bouquet (see 1st photo from their website for what I had thought I had ordered). When our friend got the bouquet, she sent “big thanks” over text and a photo of the teeny tiny arrangement that looked nothing like the website (see photo 2). To say we were all disappointed would be an understatement… I decided to give a benefit of the doubt and I contacted Conklyn. They were closed so I had to wait until the following Monday. Monday I got a hold of somebody who said that the reason the bouquet was subpar was because “many of the flowers in that bouquet were out of stock so they "did the best they could" but assured he would redo the bouquet since the flowers were "all in stock now," (see photo 3). Better than the first delivery, but still not what we ordered, I posted my first-ever negative review. They called the next day apologizing over voicemail saying they would send "the biggest, most beautiful bouquet you can imagine" and a third and final set of flowers were delivered today (see photo 4). While it is definitely a beautiful bouquet, it seems to now finally match what we thought we ordered and paid for all along. (See photo 5 for all three in the order delivered, left to right). Changed my review from 1 star to 3, since it took three tries to get it right.

Fantastic experience: I've used Conklyn's Florist in the past and they have always exceeded my expectations. I couldn't be happier with the experience! From the moment I placed my order, the customer service was exceptional. The staff has always been friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. Which is why I was very surprised when my flowers didn't show up on Friday, February 14th, Valentines Day! when I called to inquire, I was told they would be delivered on Monday. I was not happy about it, but agreed to the new delivery date. Again, the flowers did not arrive. Mr. Hicks, the owner, gave me a called and profusely apologized. He said that he was a former Marine and failure is not an option. After looking into what happened, he took charge, gave me an offer that exceeded my expectations and had the flowers delivered before noon the next day. They were exquisite! The packaging, presentation and flower arrangement was gorgeous. He added additional chocolates, teddy bear, more flowers and balloons that were not part of the original order all for free! I cannot say enough good things and again, the arrangement was beautifully crafted with fresh, vibrant blooms that exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail and the quality of the flowers truly set Conklyn's Florist apart from other florists. I highly recommend Conklyn's Florist for any occasion. Their dedication to excellence and customer satisfaction is evident in every aspect of their service. Things do not always go as expected, but Conklyn's Florist didn't make excuses, rather provided a solution that exceeded my expectations and the recipients were blown away by the WOW factor that Conklyn's Florist always provides. Fantastic experience: I frequently send flowers to my wife's grave in Arlington National Cemetery throughout the year. I don't live in Virginia so I order online and the process is always easy. Conklyn's Florist always delivers fresh, beautiful flowers and places them perfectly at her headstone. At this point, I wouldn't trust any other florist to do this.

Fantastic experience: I was astonished when I received a call on Valentine's day before noon letting me know that another arrangement would be sent out my wife. My wife would be later showered with beautiful roses. This is quite the remarkable recovery and deserves five stars absolutely! It should also be noted that the company reached out to me. I had intended to follow up after Valentine's Day as I know Valentine's is the busiest event of the year for the industry. -------------------- After paying Valentine's Day markup and marked up delivery fees, my wife did not receive the arrangement I ordered. You don't even want to know the amount I paid for this!!! However the delivery was prompt and the quality of the flowers is great. If the purchased item reads 24 roses, give me 24 roses! My wife counted 18 roses in her arrangement. I want my six roses.

I had a miscommunication on a bouquet, and a replacement was sent out expeditiously (on one of their busiest days no less!), no questions asked. Superb company & staff. Always delivered with care, and attention to detail is great.

Negative experience: It's nice but not what he paid for! The market up for roses on Valentine's is already ridiculous but when you order 24 and only get 18, that's more than a rip off! Horrible surprise. My husband was shocked and disappointed by this poor service. For the price he paid, I want my 6 additional roses! We’ve reached out on Google, Yelp and IG. Let’s see how they respond!

Fantastic experience: Wanted to get my sister birthday flowers delivered to her. It was her 40th and I wanted to do something special. I'm in Pittsburgh and she is in DC. I had to find a place that would deliver flowers that were not in a box - because it's more special when you do not have to put them together. They hand-delivered my sister an gorgeous arrangement of flowers in a vase with balloons. Kudos to the person who did the arrangment - very pretty! So after nervously looking at all the flower boutiques in her area, I'm so happy I went with this place. My sis was so happy :) I will be back to send my sister and friends out in DC flowers from this place.

Positive experience: The arrangements are pretty but small. They don’t have an option to make them larger. Delivery notification process needs improvement. They don’t notify you of delivery. I have been a customer for years because the flowers are fresh and they do deliver on time.
