I recently got the large Tropical Valentine Arrangement and it was truly a 'WOW' experience. THANKS AGAIN for being my Go To Florist! - Amplified 2/13/2026 I remembered a perfect arrangement that I had gotten once before at Sellwood Flower Company, so when it was time for a great 'Thank You' gift, I returned. This time I used their website, which was uber-easy, and picked a 36" Monstera (a.k.a. Split-leaf philodendron or Swiss-Cheese plant.) Despite the nasty surprise February snow-storm and icy road conditions, they were able to put together a beautiful plant and get it delivered (!) in less than 3 hours (!!) I know it was beautiful, because not only did they send me a photo of the plant in its pot with a ribbon, but I heard that the recipient was 'moved to tears' and had 'always wanted a plant just like this'. THANK YOU, SELLWOOD FLOWER COMPANY!

Fantastic experience: Such amazing and friendly staff! I came in the store on a whim in search of calla lilies for an event I was planning. They weren't in season so there wasn't any in stock, I was just about to leave when Mary stopped me. She told me she was going to the markets and would check the markets for me! She communicated with me the colors and quality of the flowers she saw, and was able to find some for my event! I appreciate the staff here and how much they care about their products and their clients! Highly recommend stopping in!

When I called this shop, I was expecting the same answer — but Merry completely changed my day. Even though their cutoff time had also passed, Merry took the extra time to check the exact address to see if they could still make it happen. She realized it wasn’t too far and told me she would do her best to get the order out. She helped me choose the arrangement, took my note, processed everything over the phone, and made the whole experience incredibly easy. It’s rare to find someone who goes above and beyond just to make sure your loved one gets a special moment. Positive experience: Disappointed that the wrong name was put on the card. I spelled out 3 times SARA, and instead they wrote FARA. Probably won't order from this company again.

Negative experience: Disappointed. Many flowers and leaves seemed old and past their prime, some had evidence of decay/rot on the leaves on the day of delivery. Not acceptable for a $200+ bouquet that was supposed to be a surprise gift. We love to support local business, but save your money and buy a fresher bouquet from Zupans or New Seasons, or even your local farmers market, for a fraction of the cost.

I've used them several times for local delivery in Portland, OR. Even when I want to send something next-day, they can do it!! On one occasion they worked with me to be sure the flowers were delivered to the correct "desk person" and communicated to that person that they were a surprise for my daughter. It worked out perfectly. They go above and beyond the arranging of flowers. They deliver happiness from start to finish.

Fantastic experience: I selected Sellwood Flower Company to provide the flowers for my husband’s Celebration of Life in May. They went above and beyond in handling this job! My husband’s nephew and partner, who were unable to attend wanted to donate towards the flowers months prior to the Celebration. There was an unfortunate mix up connected with this significant contribution I need not get into but it was all very confusing and was handled and sorted out with the utmost patience, professionalism and graciousness on the part of Mary, the manager. I talked directly to the designer, they had just received a fresh flower shipment, and I just asked for a bouquet of pink flowers. Fantastic experience: Amazing shop. They were able to put together a last minute corsage very quickly (1.5 hrs). Very reasonably priced and it was looked great. Date and her friends thought it was beautiful and the snap on bracelet used for the corsage was a big hit. Apparently a lot more convenient than some of the other types of bracelets used at other shops. Highly recommend.
