Fantastic experience: I called from Anchorage to order a bouquet of pink and yellow roses for my daughter who was graduating from Lewis & Clark Law School. Fantastic experience: Calling all the way from St. Louis, I reached out to them because I believe in supporting locally owned businesses and prefer not to go through 1-800-style delivery services that siphon off revenue. I was hoping to arrange a special delivery for a dear friend and former colleague who had just moved from St. Louis to Portland to begin a new job at Portland State University. I wanted her to walk into her new office on Day One and feel celebrated—welcomed—with a snake plant (which was especially meaningful because she gifted me the same plant before she moved). Old Town Florist was warm, accommodating and wonderfully helpful over the phone. When I asked about including a message, I was told I could email a short paragraph for the notecard. I assumed it would be printed. But then came the unexpected touch—they handwrote the entire note! That level of care floored me. My friend texted me immediately to say the plant was beautifully arranged, thoughtfully presented and, in her words, “absolutely perfect.” She even said she’s found her new home florist. I had ordered a floral arrangement to be delivered to a friend in the Portland area. Unbeknownst to me, the delivery address was in a gated community. When the driver couldn't get in to deliver the flowers, he made several attempts before calling me to describe the problem. I was able to put him in touch with someone who could let him into the complex, and the flowers got delivered because he went above and beyond what many people would have done. Not only was the service great, but the floral arrangement was stunning. If you want to send flowers to someone in Portland, Oregon, Old Town Florist should be your first and only choice.

Fantastic experience: It's one of my fav ramen spots in PDX! I believe the only other Afuri restaurants outside of PDX are in Japan. They specialize in yuzu ramen, but it is not overpowering. Can't go wrong with any of their ramen. My fav is the yuzu tsukamen dipping ramen. Kids ramen is only $3-4!!

The shop, along with a pleasant conversation with the owner created a long term customer. Fantastic experience: I ordered flowers yesterday morning for our admin’s (who has been with our company for 38 years) final day today. Apparently, when I was filling out the information online, I transposed some digits of the physical address. Needless to say, when I got the email confirmation that the flowers had been delivered, I saw the mistake. I called and talked to somebody and they said that they would get right on it. The problem was fixed in literally 30 minutes. I’m not sure how it was fixed but it seems like Old Town Florist went back to the place that they had delivered to, grabbed the flowers, and then took them to our business and got them to the very happy recipient. There were tears and much thanks. I really love this business owner and their product . I would happily use them again and recommend them to everybody. You can really tell a lot about a business on how they go about fixing difficult situations. This business gets five stars.

I made sure the front desk could take them and that they were good with dropping them off. On Sunday I called and the front desk said no flowers were there. I left a message with Old Town on Sunday, which they got as they checked their messages. I got a call and they said they would take care of it. They made a new bouquet and got them delivered before she got there. No idea where my flowers went as they confirmed they were delivered. Fantastic experience: I was visiting Portland to help a friend undergoing surgery. I stumbled on this florist while visiting a bakery, Nuvrei, next door. (BTW, Nuvrei has excellent croissants). I ordered an arrangement and picked it up a couple of hours later. It was beautiful and creative, reasonably priced and carefully packed for transport. A week later, the arrangement looks almost as good as it did the day I picked it up. I can’t fathom how’s that’s possible, but I’m not complaining. I can’t recommend Old Town Florist more.

Fantastic experience: I ordered flowers to be delivered to my Daughter at her office on the 1 month anniversary of her Father's passing. When I called to confirm, I was told they would be delivered at the very end of the business day. I did not note on the order that I wanted them delivered in the first part of the day so my Daughter could enjoy them on the same day. I was a bit upset about my own error. Wendy sensed how important this was and she jumped into action and made special arrangements for the flowers to be put together immediately and delivered right away. I just received a call from my Daughter that they arrived. This happened very fast, so I know Old Town Florist jumped through some hoops for me. I can't tell you how much this means to me and my Daughter. I also think they made the arrangement extra special because the photo I received far exceeds my expectation. They're gorgeous! Even with many of them unopened. I can't imagine how they will look once everything opens up. My Daughter will now be able to enjoy them and remember her Dad on this somber anniversary. Fantastic experience: We received a phone call from our friend after she had received the flowers that we ordered from you and she was over the moon with the beautiful flowers and the way they had been arranged.

Negative experience: The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the woman on the phone was very nice and very efficient. I paid $50 for this arrangement and $16 delivery. So $66 for flowers that are smaller and look less expensive than a grocery store bouquet. Needless to say I won’t be a return customer.
