Fantastic experience: Great place for Valentine flowers and other occasions, loved their mushrooms

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience! In Erie for a youth sports event and saw a pair of foo dog statues that were glorious. Called and got price quote and was very affordable! Left my son's game (they were in between games actually) and rushed there, but when I was almost there they called back to tell me they misquoted the price. Still a price that was worth considering but higher. Very nice of them to try to catch me and very considerate. After seeing them in person I knew I needed them. They gave me a small discount for my troubles and were very polite and loaded them for me. I am elated with my purchase and can't wait to get them back to NY! What a great place!!

Fantastic experience: Living in another State but have a dear friend in Erie I researched a few local florists and chose Gerlachs. I called them as I wanted something very specific. They did not disappoint. My friend sent me a photo and was thrilled with the exquisite arrangement. I am about to call today to order another arrangement for her beautiful daughter. Thank you Gerlachs.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, my experience was overall disappointing. I probably will not be ordering here again. My biggest issue was the fact that the arrangement received was completely different from the one I had ordered. They put a disclosure on the website that they may have to substitute some things, however, this looks nothing like what was pictured- even the basket is different. My suggestion as a customer would be to either picture the arrangements you have on hand, or take down the pictured arrangements altogether if you can’t mimic them. The arrangement my recipient received made me wish I had gone with someone else.

Positive experience: UPDATE - The owner called me personally and credited me for the entire order. Go in person and verify what you intend to by or at least call them directly. They will screw you over if you order online. Don't order "premium" anything on the website. Take a look at the photos below. I spent $84 on a basic arrangement I could have made myself for $20. Go in person or find another option ASAP. I still haven't gotten a response from this atrocious waste of money. I'll be posting on the BBB next so no one else has to be a victim like me.

Fantastic experience: Had everything i needed for my landscaping and cemetery plantings. I had them do up some vases for a bridal shower and previously for a baby shower. Great work, very happy with outcome!

Fantastic experience: Great selection of quality plants. It is now the second year I have gotten my hanging baskets and they are better than the box store baskets

Negative experience: I have been landscaping for 20 years. I've gotten mulch from numerous landscape supply companies over the years. Got mulch for a job from Gerlachs and what should have been 2 yards of mulch in the back of my pick up was more like a light yard and 1/2. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe it was just somebody new doing the loading and didnt scoop the material properly. Well, i went back about a week later for another job i was doing and got the same result. Wondering if anybody else has had this experience with them?? Did they think they could short me thinking that i was just a home owner coming in for my own yard and I wouldnt know the difference?? My guess is they take the bucket and "fluff" up the material before loading to make it look like more. In 20 years of being a landscaper I have have never given a bad review to a landscape supply company. Gerlachs deserves this one. Dont cheat your customers!

Fantastic experience: Bob and the team at Gerlach's Garden and Floral Center went above and beyond to make sure my Mom's flower arrangement was beautiful. They are the type of company you want to trust your business with when ordering something for a loved one.

Positive experience: Gerlach’s customer service was great and they were prompt to help resolve an issue I had with my delivery. Not only did they say they would refund my friend who sent me the arrangement but they would send a new one as well. Bob was very kind and sounded like he genuinely cared about the situation. Thank you, Gerlach’s, for reaching out and rectifying the situation.

Negative experience: Great place, great owners. But an extremely disrespectful loader guy in the yard, aggressive profanity used against customers; almost makes you wanna avoid going there.

Fantastic experience: Exceeded our expectations! Our family member was buried in a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey and they said they could apply that theme to our flowers. We never discussed which kind of flowers and just left it in their hands. We were so pleased with what they came up with for the arrangement. Very easy to work with and would highly recommend. Positive experience: I found the plants I wanted and the seeds I was looking for. I had to ask for assistance from a young girl. She was very helpful. The checkout man was not friendly nor helpful. He must have been having a rough day.

Fantastic experience: Florist, gift shop, garden supply, bulk aggregate... Gerlach's has what you need. The staff is attentive and helpful. I've bought 50/50 compost-top soil for my raised beds and it's been gold for 5 straight years! I've purchased several floral arrangements for a multitude of occasions and had them delivered. If you have questions regarding your plants or gardens, the staff has an answer. Yes, I recommend Gerlach's.

Negative experience: I will never shop here again. I went in yesterday, May 29th, 2024, to purchase an African violet house plant. They were on sale @ 50% off. I figured that would be perfect to use the debit card I had on me and use up the remaining balance. I went to the counter and a man rang it up, at full price. I mentioned it was on sale, he said he didn't realize. He then rang up the correct price, I handed him the card, he looked at me and said you're going to pay "x" amount with THIS, and rolled his eyes... I said yes I am. He proceeded to tell me "we won't make any money". He was clearly agitated and did not try to hide it. I'm all for local companies making money, but really? I very easily could have gone out to the car to get cash had he been the least bit nice. I was there about 2 months ago looking for a certain pot, and it was the same situation. They do not want to be bothered. Prior to this I had not been there in about 10 years. I'll stick with Frank's Farm Market and Stan's garden center.

Fantastic experience: I stopped in yesterday and I can not express enough how nice their employees are. The young man at the florist counter gave my 3 year old a carnation which made her day, listened and helped us with our floral choices. He was professional yet friendly. We don't purchase fresh cut flowers often, but anytime we need them I'll take the drive in just because of the interactions I experienced with them yesterday. Wish we had more time to look through the whole place but we were on a time crunch. So grateful for your help and kindness yesterday!

Fantastic experience: They came up clutch! Few florists were open on Sunday and they put together one of the most beautiful floral arrangements for me in a 24 hour turnaround. Everyone was very nice, accommodating, and put together a breathtaking arrangement. All for a reasonable price. I could not speak more highly of Gerlach’s and my experience with them!

Positive experience: Love the price of a 20# tank of propane at $16. Would've been a 5 star rating but the cashier just didn't give us that appreciation of buying from his store. We'll still go back it's just that 1 thing that kept it from a perfect score.

I can honestly say it was the most beautiful, fragrant HUGE bouquet I have ever received! I have never seen so many types of gorgeous flowers in one arrangement! I think he was a bit nervous as he had never purchased from you before, but I think it is safe to say that he will be a repeat customer, as well as myself. He said price-wise it was no more expensive than what he would usually spend, and it was twice the flowers! Fantastic experience: We love buying plants, shrubs and trees to landscape our home. Great service and very knowledgeable about what to plant and when in Erie. I love ordering flowers from them. They did the most amazing arrangement for my mom for her 90th birthday when she was unable to get anything in a nursing home facility due to Covid. They just worked with me to produce a beautiful silk flower momento arrangement placed inside a fresh flower arrangement using a cross I had made. My friend was thrilled. Unfortunately, I didn’t photograph the entire beautiful arrangement
