The actual roses, vase, and baby's breath were very nice. Price is always an issue nowadays, but Gida's is relatively well-priced. Im going to use Gida's the next time I order flowers.

Fantastic experience: I sent flowers to my sister who lives in Pittsburgh - the city where we grew up. I wanted to send something very special for her important birthday and wanted to work with someone who knew and loved the city as much as we do. I found Gidas on line (I live on the west coast) and was thrilled to see that they have been serving our neighborhood for a very long time. The flowers that they designed were perfect - pastels of the most beautiful and interesting variety. They were artistically arranged and delivered at the very time requested. I highly recommend this florist and will happily work with them again.

Fantastic experience: Our wedding flowers were exactly what I envisioned! At our first meeting Laurie had pulled a few flowers that I had described in my inquiry form. She was super helpful in showing different sizes and colors of flowers as well as greenery and other embellishments that would look good as a whole. The floral arrangements were one of the most important things to me and the vision I had for our wedding and when the bouquets were delivered on our wedding day I was stunned by how incredible they looked. The colors were perfect and I only wish they could've lasted forever!

Fantastic experience: Gidas went above and beyond helping me get flowers to a dear friend who was in the hospital. The hospital operator gave incorrect information that could’ve prevented my flowers from being delivered. However, Gidas made an in person attempt and the flowers were accepted. This was after they made several calls to the hospital on my behalf. This kind of customer service is so rare today. Then, to receive a text from my friend thanking me for the beautiful flowers made it all worth it. Please know Gidas truly cares about you and the person you’re sending flowers to. They communicated with me the entire time and made sure my flowers were delivered. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

I asked for specific flowers that would last for about a week without needing care — no fresh water or stem trimming. The team at Gidas was incredibly kind and patient on the phone, taking detailed notes about my preferences and even helping me craft the note for the arrangement. Sadly, my aunt passed away the very next day. The compassion and empathy shown by the Gidas Flowers team during such a difficult time truly touched my heart. The person I spoke with over the phone said he would personally deliver the flowers for me on their way home. I will be buying all my flowers from Gida's moving forward.

I love that it’s a local florist, with fresh arrangements and several options to choose from. I find it’s great customer service and they provide high quality flowers in full bloom, making it even more pleasing to brighten up a room! (I chose the deluxe) I live in Ireland so sending flowers to loved one in Pittsburgh means a lot to me. The communication with this florist was brilliant too. The only thing I would have to say is that the price of sending flowers in America is very steep- this is no criticism to this florist only as it seems to be all your florists. So if you are going to pay that kind of money you want it to look and feel special and seeing photograph from family I sent it to… the arrangement is stunning . Positive experience: Bought flowers from Gidas for my mom's birthday. The ease of the ordering process online, the variety of arrangements, and the prompt availability of the flowers were what led to 3 stars: the actual flowers themselves were what detracted 2 stars. A number of the flowers were wilted and/or haphazardly cut. The balloon I added to the arrangement was half-deflated. I was so embarrassed by the overall appearance of the arrangement that I actually had to go to Target and get extra flowers to swap out flowers and make the arrangement look better. I also agree with a previous poster stating that what she received looked quite different (in a bad way) than what was actually received. Definitely not worth the money paid for this arrangement.

Fantastic experience: Dropped by today to make a bouquet for my fiancee to celebrate him completing his PhD defense. The two women I worked with were very friendly and helpful. I was able to make a bouquet of all red and white with red and white ribbon since he is graduating from CMU. I picked out the flowers and it was thoughtfully and carefully arranged and wrapped. Was in and out quickly and walked away with a custom beautiful bouquet.

I've tried other florists in Pittsburgh and none have ever been as high quality or affordably priced. And I just was able to use Gidas for the flowers at my wedding. Everything was done beautifully and at a reasonable cost. Also, as a dude, I have frequently gone in there with a set price and just let them create a bouquet. They have always been stunning.

I no almost nothing about flowers, but Laurie and Amy were very helpful in helping me decide which flowers and greenery to use, what kind of design/ aesthetic we wanted, and what other floral decor we would need for our venue. They also kindly endured all of my questions and concerns. Come day of, they did a great job setting up and designing the boutonnieres and bouquets and needed no supervision at all. I didn't have to worry about them which made for a stress free wedding day. Would highly recommend to any future bride!
