Fantastic experience: The Downtown Birmingham location had excellent customer service! The flowers and wine were amazing!

Negative experience: I received several messages from friends and family that their flower orders for my mom’s funeral was canceled never full filled due to these folks not having a driver that could deliver to a local funeral home that’s even 10miles away. This not only happened once but at least 5 people contacted me about their order being cancelled at the last minute. The fact that my mom couldn’t even receive flowers from her friends at her home going service was unprofessional and disheartening. I would never recommend these folks and would give them zero stars if I could!

Not only were the flowers amazing but the delivery was done before 11am on the day they were supposed to be delivered. Extremely satisfied and pleased. Negative experience: “If a bouquet has 25 stems in it, if you reduce that by three to four stems, then you’re able to keep the price the same,” Pappas said. “It’s really forced us to focus on that and to make sure that we’re pricing things the best that we possibly can.” says the owner to the reporter. That's called shrinkflation, my dude. Giving the customer less, for the same price, and keeping the same profit for yourself. This is the cause, not the effect of a bad economy.

Fantastic experience: Norton’s Florist is always top-notch! They consistently have the freshest, most beautiful flowers and the service is unmatched thanks to Ms. Red — truly the best you can find. The location is super convenient, and parking is a breeze with Take 5 Car Wash right next door. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Last minute order of sympathy bouquet that Norton’s somehow got to the church before the visitation. They really cared and did what I thought was impossible! I always heard Norton’s was the class act in Birmingham. I have always been satisfied, but I sometimes went with cheaper florists or online offers. Never again. I’ll never use anyone else!

Fantastic experience: Living out of town but wanted to send a friend living in Birmingham flowers, I called another Birmingham friend who highly recommended Norton's Florist. Exceptional from the person taking my order on the phone (yes, I'm one of those) to hearing from my friend how beautiful were the flowering orchid and ferns and container. I always request a photo to check my order (important!). Except for the container (which was even better for my older friend), my friend's photo and the one on the website was the same. Fantastic experience: Over the top beautiful flowers and matched customer service. I was emailed when the order was received, and then also to confirm they’d be delivered on time to the hospital. I emailed letting them know she loves pink, and they customized the most exquisite arrangement. My aunt loved her flowers. Sometimes you think, being out of time and behind a computer, that maybe the flowers wouldn’t be as spectacular as if you order in person. In this case it’s the opposite. My aunt called me, overwhelmed with how pretty they are! I got a confirmation email from the owner letting me know they were delivered as well. Thank you so much!

Ordering online was easy - I did wish it had a spot for me to say what not to include, but there weren't any of her least favorite - so lucky coincidence! Fantastic experience: I ordered flowers for mother's day online from here. Living in Japan, I was very worried that the delivery wouldn't go well, happen at all, or the flowers would get crushed en route. There's no way for me to tell. None of that happened, and the flowers were delivered perfectly to my mother on the day. She even received a phone call about how to access her building so that the flowers could be hand delivered. They came in perfect condition and definitely made my mom's day that much better, from overseas.

Negative experience: Would not recommend if delivery on a certain day is required. Ordered flowers for delivery by 5pm for a special graduation ceremony two weeks ago and no delivery and no call to either the recipient or me that the flowers were not going to deliver. Very poor service. If delivery is not going to be made, I would at least expect a call to let me know. Really frustrating and disappointing.

Negative experience: Terrible service,ordered 2 dozen roses a week in advance for Valentine’s Day to be delivered.My order was confirmed by an email and money withdrawn from my account only to be cancelled a couple days later for an error with my card according to them.Obviously there was no error with my card because they issued a refund,money was transferred from my account and you refunded it.Will never do business with them again and would encourage everyone else to do the same

Negative experience: Walked in and no one was at the front desk. The door that lead to the back where the customer service associates desk was open, and there was so much clutter and junk around that I don’t see how anyone conducts business back there. That area is where the arrangements are being made and it’s filthy! I waited at the desk 5 minutes before I saw anyone. So unorganized and unprofessional. I’m never going back

Not only were we blown away by how beautiful the bouquet was, but even more flabbergasted by the quality. I placed an order for a bouquet of balloons for my new nephew who was being officially adopted the next day. She went out of her way to make it extra special by adding a stuffed turtle as the "anchor" and worked so hard to choose the appropriate balloons for the special occasion! Fantastic experience: I looked into some providers of flower arrangements who come and decorate for you, but decided that our event, held at the Christopher Glenn venue in Homewood, was small enough that we could choose some arrangements and have Norton's send them to the venue. Making my arrangements from Virginia, I spoke to a very helpful lady on the phone who knew exactly what I was looking for, and put the order in for me then and there. Cameron from Norton's arrived earlier than I did, but kindly delivered the arrangements as the caterers got started with their work, and even set them out around the hall for us. For a simple Celebration of Life event, we ordered two large peace lily plants, several colorful bouquets in glass cube vases, and a gorgeous spray of roses to sit beside the urns of my mom and dad. The lady at Norton's arranged the roses to have a water source so they would stay fresh and beautiful for days. Everyone who attended enthused at how beautiful and fresh the arrangements were, and we had no problem at all finding homes for them with all the attendees! As one person viewing the ceremony online put it, "The flowers were off-the-charts beautiful!"

Fantastic experience: Overjoyed. Our daughter was rushed to Children's and had to stay over the weekend. Our order was submitted Sunday night for a Monday afternoon delivery by 4pm and was actually early blessing us since she was unexpectedly due to be discharged before 4pm unbeknownst to us that morning. Unfortunately I had to follow-up over email since a warmies product we ordered was not the one selected. Miss Teresa reached out the next day to my wife quite apologetic and making every effort to acknowledge the mistakes and how to make it right .she gave her cell phone and showed up the next week at Children's personally to deliver the correct held back last item in inventory. Fantastic experience: I chose the “designers choice” in pastel and trusted the florist to use whatever was in stock and beautiful for the day. I love the variety of blooms that were used. I placed my order online at 9am selecting the “deliver by 5” option , and they were delivered by 3pm. Negative experience: Used to have good, quality flowers but I don't know what happened. The last three times I've bought flowers from them, they started dying and significantly wilting the day after bringing them home. Very disappointing considering these were nearly $100 bouquets.

Negative experience: I was highly recommended to purchase at Norton’s Florist for a special gift for date night and I was highly disappointed with the customer service and product that I received, even after it was remade. I first engaged with Norton’s on October 12th when I called to put in an order for 2 dozen tulips to be told that they do not have any because they are not in season, but what followed was an extremely unprofessional statement by the lady over the phone. She said “are you on our website? Do you see any tulips on there?” That was my first red flag that I should have never bought from this place. Next, I ordered 2 dozen pink roses to be picked up the next day (October 13th). I arrived on October 13th to pick up the flowers to be handed a very disappointed batch of pink roses. Most of the roses look wilted and not much life to them. I mentioned to the worker that I was not happy with the roses only to be gaslit by saying that there was nothing wrong with the roses and they were not wilted, even though they clearly were. They ultimately agreed to remake them with additional pink roses that they had, but I had to come back a couple hours later. I returned and they were better than the previous version, but after the bad experience I had there, I highly do not recommend anyone shops here and look for another florist in the area that will have better customer service and quality about their work. I am extremely disappointed that they came highly referred and they have other customers saying good things about them.
