This space is so special as a local student, and the staff is always so friendly!

It's not just the incredible beauty of the bouquets (and that they last a long time), but the empathy that they showed both times. Maybe this is stating the obvious for a florist but: I get the feeling that the people at Brattle Florist truly know that when people order flowers, it is generally for a momentous reason. Fantastic experience: My family has had a relationship with Brattle Square Florist for over 40 years. In the more recent years we bought flowers from there for many happy occasions - my bridal shower, wedding, christening and holidays. The staff has always been easy to work with and we have never had to spend a lot of time deciding on a flower arrangement. We’ve always told them our likes and thoughts, and they work their magic. They never let any arrangement leave the shop that have empty areas and in need of more flowers. We have also bought flower arrangements from Brattle Square Florist for funerals. Most recently for my mother’s funeral. Stephen actually remembered my mother, promised that all of the flowers would be beautiful (which I had no doubt) and gave me beautiful yellow flowers to take home for myself. Brattle Square Florist is truly a class act. Their flowers have never disappointed, prices are reasonable and the finished product has always been exquisite. Also, the easiest (and sincere) staff to work with. There is no where else to go.

Fantastic experience: I have had a few really rough days in the past few months where I happen to be in Harvard Square for work. I always go in and buy a small plant. The man I think is the owner and the staff are always so nice and knowledgeable. They also clearly care about the plants — it’s not just about making the sale. Which as a plant lover with a terrible green thumb is nice. I know I can be honest about my abilities and they will recommend a plant I can reasonably take care of. Can’t recommend them enough :)

Fantastic experience: For years we have been going to the Brattle Square Florist to celebrate milestone moments with gorgeous blooms. Our summer solstice wedding was no different. I trusted them to create a flower crown to complement my yellow dress and they could not have done a more beautiful job! To top it off, they shared in our joy by offering warm congratulations and a hug when I came to pick up the crown. It was packaged securely and easy to slide into the fridge. Fantastic experience: This is absolutely my favorite florist of all time. I got to know the owners and they are not only the sweetest but have the freshest flowers and are experts. They have the best service and are so thoughtful. Came back for a 5 year reunion and sought them out. If you drop by bc of this review, tell Stephen that Esther raved about the place!

Negative experience: They have a beautiful selection of flowers but I was really disappointed by the "bouquet" I received. First, when I walked in, I wasn't greeted by anyone. I tried approaching a few employees and the third finally offered to help me. The others basically ignored me. When I finally got to order by bouquet, I gave them my budget and a color scheme. The employee put a few flowers together and then just wrapped them, they didn't try to actually make an arrangement out of the flowers and when I left I noticed some of the flowers were actually starting to wither, something they would have noticed if they actually tried making a bouquet and not just grabbing flowers out of buckets. Truly disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Let me begin by saying that I have been let down so many times by 1800flowers and FTD that I couldn't imagine that trying them again would be any different (the last two times I ordered from either company, their "florists" basically just went to a local supermarket to buy horrible flowers, took no care in presentation, etc). So I knew my purchase would be from a local florist that delivered. Being an ocean away from the recipient of the flowers, I had to take a chance and select a local florist I had never visited. So I googled for local florists, read the reviews, and decided to take a chance on Brattle Square Florist. Ordering directly on their website was quick and easy. The prices are a bit higher than online florists, so be prepared for that. But you know what? You get what you pay for. I knew that the flowers I selected to be delivered to my mom were worth every penny when she called me right after they were delivered to let me know how beautiful they were, how it seemed like the florist paid attention to detail, and how even the people around her commented on the flowers (the person delivering the flowers to her room told her "someone must really, really love you."). It's high praise when someone wants to take pictures of flowers to send and share their joy with others. I highly recommend Brattle Square Florist. I can't imagine I am ever going back to online florists again. Buying local from an actual physical shop with a great reputation is always worth it. The flowers were delivered only a day after I placed my order and they were gorgeous. They also accomodated my request to only use cat safe flowers. Highly recommend!

The diversity and freshness of their flowers was exceptional. They worked hard to cut and curate the stems I chose and offered me so many choices from the refrigerator in the back. Positive experience: I ordered 15 individual red roses ($5 each, the same as nearby Petali Flowers) over the phone for the next morning. Had someone else pick it up so I didn’t get to see the actual store but the process was effortless and the roses were wrapped nicely. I live in the South End and was getting my flowers in my neighborhood, but I happen to stumble into Brattle Square Florist randomly and fell in love with their selection and knowledge of the staff. I also like that you can walk with one of the florist to put together a bouquet of your liking/whatever you might be in the mood for that day. Fantastic experience: Entering this small space is like a trip to a mini-Garden of Eden. Very friendly atmosphere, gorgeous and healthy flowers (they last for a long time!), and amazingly friendly and helpful personnel, especially the lady with purple hair, Elmira. They always give you great value for what you spend, don't try to upsell, are as welcoming for $3.50 small plant purchasers as for huge floral arrangement customers. A great local business--DO support it!

Negative experience: Conclusion: flowers might be good, but I will never go back again and will recommend my friends not go there. It’s supposed to be 5 star, but the white hair lady who served me got angry when I checked the price —— I thought the total she quoted me was wrong (it was indeed wrong). When I started to ask, she began to become angry (I guess she thought it was over my budget but I was just trying to check the math), so she just left me to the owner. I said thanks for 3 times to her after I paid (because she did pick the flowers for me), she replied nothing but a stare, in front of another customer.

Fantastic experience: I am more than happy with my purchase. I just had a horrible unrelated experience with another vendor fromyouflowers.com, where they didn't even deliver the flowers to my mom (on a Tuesday, after Mother's day mind you) and they marked it delivered. After getting so upset, I searched online and ordered directly through Brattle Square Florist last night around 8pm after my bad experience as I wanted flowers sent to my mom. I found a much prettier arrangement for a more than reasonable price! I had anticipated it would take a few days for them to deliver it to my mom. They delivered it next day!! I am so so happy, and so is my mom. Thank you so very much. I will be using your shop for all my future Cambridge flower delivery needs. If I could give you more than 5 stars I would. I used to order from a few other shops in Cambridge in the past, but their prices have skyrocketed since Covid which is why I made the poor decision to use a website that prices flowers cheaper. I am now glad that I had this bad experience with another flower vendor so that it could point me to find your shop.
