Update: Upon posting this review (not the email) prompted a response, to which I was offered an explanation, but no apology, for the lack of communication.

Day before we stopped into Eastern floral, explained what had happened. Before we could finish someone behind the counter hearing our story called the shop and asked if they can get what we needed by EOD and told the story. The entire team went above and beyond and saved the day. We are thankful for them and highly recommend working directly with a local shop, like Eastern Floral.

Experiencia positiva: Beautiful Blooms, But Timing Missed the Mark I’ve been a customer of Eastern Floral on Ardmore in Grand Rapids for quite some time. Their flower selection is always fresh and thoughtfully arranged, and the staff is typically attentive and professional. Today, I stopped in for a quick grab-and-go bouquet of roses before heading back to the hospital to be with my daughter. I appreciated that they had some ready in the fridge (as they often do), and when I reached the counter, the cashier kindly offered to place the roses in water for an extra $3.50 and a short 6-minute wait. I agreed, thinking it would be a small delay well worth the care. However, after stepping aside, things took a turn. As I waited, the cashier continued assisting new walk-in customers, even beginning full new orders—without checking back in or acknowledging my wait. I understood that one customer needed help due to a language barrier, but I still felt forgotten in the process. Another customer who came in after me ended up walking out at the same time I did, both of us visibly delayed. I value the quality of Eastern Floral’s arrangements and the ambiance of their shop, but today’s experience was a reminder that customer care includes communication—especially when time is a factor. For now, I may need to opt for an edible arrangement when I’m in a rush, but I hope to see some small improvements here moving forward. I’d still recommend the shop for their flowers—just don’t be on a tight schedule.

Bouquet was a little smaller than I thought and the color of the rose wasn’t as vibrant as in the picture I feel like it’s a bit too pale . Experiencia negativa: Frustrating Experience Despite Eventually Getting It Right My friend and I ordered a custom floral bouquet (priced at $120) for a friend who just had a baby. Since my friend has floral experience, we were very specific about the flowers and colors we wanted—avoiding certain shades like purple and yellow. The shop assured us they’d send a photo for approval before delivery. The next morning, we received a picture of the bouquet—already delivered—and it looked nothing like our request. I immediately called to explain the issue, and thankfully, the staff member agreed to redeliver. We assumed they’d let our friend keep the incorrect bouquet while also sending the corrected one (since we’d paid a premium). However, after five rounds of back-and-forth and multiple adjustments, they finally delivered the bouquet we originally asked for—but unexpectedly took back the first arrangement. We appreciate that they eventually fixed the mistake, the entire process was needlessly stressful. For such an expensive order, we expected better accuracy, communication, and customer care. It’s disappointing that it took so much effort to get what we paid for, and we’re unsure if we’ll order from them again. The arrangement pictured in the clear glass is the original bouquet, the one in the white is when we had them redo it. It’s definitely a huge improvement, but it was not worth the payment.

We all know wedding florals can be costly, but I absolutely think that together with Rachel I achieved exactly what I dreamed of for a completely reasonable cost. My first meeting with her went so well, she was very respectful of my budget and seemed genuinely excited to create my florals even though my look I was going for was fairly minimalistic and all white with greenery. She later sent a mood board of her vision and it was BEYOND perfect!! Then, Eastern Floral ABSOLUTELY delivered. My flowers were gorgeous, the quality of my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets were perfect. The boys pocket boutonnieres were exactly what my now husband envisioned.
