I was really hoping to buy local for my friend’s upcoming flower bar, so I reached out on Saturday and was told someone would look into it and call me on Monday. Totally understandable that weekends can be busy for vendors, and the girl I spoke with was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, it’s now Thursday and I haven’t received a call back. Since I live less than half a mile away, I thought I’d stop by in person — only to find a sign saying they were closed for deliveries. Again, I completely understand that small local shops often have limited staff. I figured I’d just leave a voicemail instead, but when I called, the phone rang several times and then disconnected without an option to leave a message. All around, I’m disappointed because I truly wanted to support a local business. I guess I’ll be heading to Trader Joe’s instead. :/

Experiencia fantástica: I can't say enough good things about the fantastic experience with this flower shop. I live out of state and needed to send flowers to a friend who was in the hospital. After placing the order, I found out my friend was being released early. I called the shop, a bit stressed, to see if they could redirect the delivery to their house, even though it was out of their normal delivery area. To my great surprise and relief, the manager, Naomi, told me it was no problem at all and actually delivered the flowers herself, free of charge. This level of service is rare and truly exceptional. I am so grateful for their willingness to help and would recommend them to anyone!

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately I was unable to use this highly rated florist. I called on a Friday at noon and was told they couldn't take my order for same day delivery because they were closed. I was told their hours were 9-2 that day, note it is a Friday and their published hours are 9-5. I told them that the web site stated that I had over an hour to place an order for same day delivery. Was told they were closed so I hung up and called someone else. I was pretty confident I was talking to a call center. I tried to call back twice to actully reach someone in the store but didn't have any luck.

The owner charged me double delivery fee because I “entered the address wrong” when I ordered online. I have never had problems with entering the address the way I did with any other online orders. Error on their end and I was charged for it.

Unfortunately, I did not get the names of the two women running the shop, but both were extremely helpful and kind! The florist who made my arrangement asked me for flower, color, and price preference, and then got straight to work. Asked me if I would be okay hanging out for 10 minutes while she put the arrangement together, I agreed and was very grateful that she was able to accommodate me on such short notice. She put together a beautiful pink and purple arrangement with carnations and mums in the 10 minutes while I wandered around the shop (lots of neat things to look at!). The second woman helped me with an over the phone payment and gave me instructions for how to properly transport the arrangement. Both women were very lovely! So glad I came to La Paloma for my emergency flower needs!

Communication was fluid even with changes at the last minute from other family members. She was compassionate and supportive during a difficult time. Her designs are breath taking and gorgeous. She is amazing talented. I wanted a mix of roses for my mother-in-law who planted and tended roses. She created a beautiful rose arrangement for the urn. I also had eight centerpieces made for tables at the reception. A family member had a particular arrangement in mind and sent over a picture to Naomi. The white centerpieces were stunning and were commented on by the guests. I recommend Naomi and La Paloma flowers, excellent customer service, stunning arrangements. Overall, a pleasure doing business with someone who goes above and beyond and cares for her customers.

I continue to order a few times a year and have never ever been disappointed. Your designs, delivery and customer service are so appreciated.

Experiencia negativa: Pretty disappointed and not a little shocked at the poor quality of service received here for a small wedding. Order was placed well in advance, and the florist's recommendations were taken. Pick up the early afternoon of the wedding revealed that FIVE of the bouquets were not done. "Misread the order," was the excuse. So, wait for them to be done. They don't match. They are not what the original florist recommended, and were smaller than the one that had been done correctly. So, all that to say, double check your order with this shop a couple of days prior to the pick up, or you too will be disappointed on your wedding day. Poor business practice in that no small discount was offered for the inconvenience and failure to deliver what had been ordered.

Not only did they stay open late, they had a sympathetic ear and a variety of BEAUTIFUL arrangements for me to choose from. Their floral options were incredible — everything between sunflowers to exotic arrangements, and they even offered to make me something special if I didn’t find exactly what I wanted, even though they were past closing time. And their pieces are so artistic! Put together in such a stunning and unique way!
