2 months ago Experiencia fantástica: My aunt ordered a floral arrangement for me from Portland Florist from her home in England. The flowers I received were absolutely stunning. Even more incredible was I received the flowers on February 6th and the flowers lasted until March 8th. I did during that period dispose of individual flowers that had died. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The arrangement was a spectacular vision of pink and purples. Highly recommend

3 months ago Experiencia fantástica: I was floored at the quality of the flower arrangement, it was beautiful. I also added a Portland apple pie to the order and it looks amazing as well. I especially love the design on the crust because it makes me think of the, White Rose Resistance. The communication was great, keeping me well informed of my order status. I was ordering from across the country and wanted to use a company local to the recipient, and glad I did. Great job, great value, I will definitely use them again.
3 months ago Experiencia negativa: Calling from a fellow Teleflora florist to give them a $150 order. This nasty person actually tells me on the phone to another florist mind you, "Dude, (I'm clearly a woman and have never been mistaken for a dude) I don't have time for you. Go find someone else. " I'm 60 years old and have never encountered another florist this rude and apparently in no need of business. I will be contacting Teleflora about your attempts at evading the mandatory 80/20 split with other florists. And I advise all potential customers reading this to do exactly what the creature who refused to give her name 3 times, advised. Dude. Go find another florist!!!!!!!!! Reply to your reply. The girl who answered your phone who refused to give her name despite being asked 3 times never mentioned Teleflora. I mentioned Teleflora. I told her with Teleflora there's an 80/20 split and if you do it with me paying by credit card you'll make alot more bc there would be no additional fees that they charge . I was trying to help you and your shop. And she went straight to vulgarity and insulted me saying exactly what I said before "Dude (I'm clearly a woman) I don't have time for your bullshit. Go find another florist." Click! Hang up . I didn't do anything wrong except tell her that you already offer 80/20 split as a Teleflora florist. She didn't say on go through teleflora which I would have gladly done. She insulted me, falsely called me a dude, got very abrasive and rude and hung up. No patience. She pretended she had no time for this. No time for what? Taking an order? It's not even valentines day.. tell her to pace herself and take a chill pill or simply don't answer the phone. It's better than dishing out your crap to people who order. Horrible (non)service. You mock me saying I have too much time. Yet you're the one who is taking the time to be abrasive when you could have just been polite and helpful from the start. You get what you deserve.
We told you we go through Teleflora for florists orders. We don't do a discount for florists that are not Teleflora which I looked up your shop Lilis Florist in New Jersey. After you went on about what you say my employee said to you I highly doubt. Then you called and spoke to me and said I was a C... Liberal in Oregon . After that I hung up on you. I guess now I will need to reply on your google for your shop. Sad when you don't have something better to do with your time.

10 months ago Experiencia negativa: Purchased a premium gracious lavender basket for $185 dollars. What the picture shows and what we received are very different! Tried to talk with staff and show them the picture and why I was upset with the difference and they just kept saying it’s the right measurements. It’s not about the measurements it’s about the half dead flowers and the amount of open space that should not be there. They stated they would add additional flowers for a price. I am not paying more for what I should have originally gotten. Very disappointed all around! Will never be back. I grew up with family that worked as florists I know it should be better.
The flowers were fresh and made this morning. The roses are garden pink roses and very full and lush, they are not old. Also they are alot more expenisve then the regular kind. I asked you if you wanted me to replace the carnations with a lighter color and your said no.... If you were not happy with the flowers that is your opinion but you did not have to buy them if you didn't like them. You were complaining you thought it did not have the right amount of flowers so that is why we said we would measure it. Each item we sell has a recipe to follow for the item and we did follow that. Our flowers are extremely fresh and you will see that when you see how long they last.

Your order went to Bend Oregon which was sent to a florist in that town. Since you ordered from out of the country Mexico we communicated through email. I contacted the florist there to resolve your complaint and also went through Teleflora and got it resolved.

1 year ago Experiencia fantástica: I selected the custom design option and they did very well with my request for my mom's bday. My mom loved the flowers and it was so pretty. However,they added a butterfly to the bouquet,and in our culture sending a butterfly on a birthday is kind of taboo since the butterfly is associated with death/funerals. So my mom was a little shocked but it wasn't too big of a deal since it wasn't like I instructed them to do so. And I appreciate they were just giving it a nice design by adding th butterfly. But i think they should keep in mind when adding any creatures because it could be symbolic whether culturally or personally or ask the customer first.

1 year ago Experiencia negativa: I was the recipient of a flower delivery so I cannot speak to the ordering process or the customer service aspect. The arrangement that was delivered to me was large and unfortunately included some already dead, browning flowers upon delivery so it was disappointing for the $100+ price.
Yes your friend called about your flowers and I told her we would be happy to replace the flowers. She said not to bother you. The yellow stock sometimes does that unfortunately. Would you like us to replace it?

Thank you for all the help. The arrangement was delivered to the event and more beautiful than expected. Price was higher than I would have liked but as a small business owner my self I know that nothing is affordable these days and that’s not the owners fault. Thank you again!

1 year ago Experiencia negativa: I was very disappointed with my experience at this flower shop. The bouquet I ordered looked nothing like the photo on their gallery—it was much smaller and the flowers were already wilting. On top of that, the delivery was late, and the customer service was unhelpful when I called to ask for an update. For the price I paid, I expected much better quality and service. I won’t be ordering from here again.
You asked for a discount before we even made your arrangement. Then after it was made you made comments you didn’t approve . Then she added more flowers that you wanted, and then you didn’t want to pay for the extra. So I told you if you didn’t like it, you didn’t have to purchase it but then you wanted to purchase it so then now you leave a review like this.

1 year ago Experiencia fantástica: my go to for year-round spontaneous wrapped bouquets Updated December 2024: Portland Florist Shop saved my butt!!! I made an order for next day delivery at 8 pm before Xmas eve and they are going to do it for me! I appreciate it so much. Originally, I had made the order FROM A CORPORATE SHOP fronting as a local shop and they confirmed it and then cancelled it at 7 pm the night before. I thought I was sol but I tried ordering from PFS and it worked! Merry Christmas and tysm. I'm never gonna even bother with another shop again. You all are too perfect.

1 year ago Experiencia fantástica: Portland Florist Shop went out of their way to create an absolutely huge and beautiful bouquet for our grandmother's funeral service when the online delivery sites we had initially used fell through in a big way! My grandmother's funeral service was booked with only a couple days notice, so my family figured that next-day floral service through a major (probably the first one you're thinking of) online flower shop would be most efficient/affordable. Fast forward to the morning of the ceremony, and only half the flowers had even been delivered and at half the size they were supposed to be! My mother was distraught so we set out to find a local flower shop nearby that could add to altar. We came to Portland Florist Shop right as they opened, and with no notice and in 15-20 minutes, we left with a gorgeous bouquet with at least 4-5 different types of flowers and greenery, easily 3 feet tall - and for the same price as we had paid the online retailer. It was noticeably the best bouquet of the bunch when set next to what was delivered. Needless to say, we are customers for life! Thanks again for your speed, compassion, and tremendous talent - we appreciated your help so much!

1 year ago Experiencia fantástica: I ordered a cookie basket with flowers AND extra cookies to be sent to my daughter’s office on Friday, not knowing they’d all leave early on Friday. ♀️ After some confusion, the delivery was taken to my daughter’s house on Saturday, which I know wasn’t easy for poor driver(s)! I appreciate the extra effort! The arrangement was really cute and my daughter took extra cookies back to the office to share on Monday!

1 year ago Experiencia fantástica: I called in an order for a Celebration of Life that was taking place the day after I called. The only request was a black vase or container. I let them know a few specific flowers I wanted and explained that I wanted colorful. I was so extremely pleased once I received a photo of them. They were gorgeous and I would definitely recommend ordering from them. I didn’t like the delivery fee as they were within a mile from the location I was having them delivered. I feel like maybe a distance pricing would be a better fit. Everything else was outstanding!

1 year ago Experiencia negativa: The worst place to buy flowers… mediocre job, I paid 65$ for something I buy from Fred Meyer or Costco for 20-29 max. From what I saw all women there were grumpy and angry for nothing… if u buy from them online u don’t have to see the weird negativity of the employees…. Mediocre job, rude and miserable… it’s sad to be with flowers & grumpy and negative that much… nope not recommending and never coming back

2 years ago Experiencia fantástica: Recently moved here from Eugene. My dog passed away in October and I have been buying a single-stem red rose weekly for her memorial. I wanted to continue that upon moving to Portland. I happen to live in the neighborhood of the Portland Florist Shop. My experience today was great and felt very intimate. When I mentioned that I buy a rose weekly, the lady who helped me gave me a packet of food for cut stems to make them last a little longer. I had never known they exist. 2 years ago Experiencia fantástica: They had trouble delivering flowers to my brother in the hospital because he had complications and had to go into the ICU but they called regularly to find out if he was back in a regular room and they emailed me this info and finally they refunded my money because it looked like my brother would never go into a regular room where they can have flowers. Lynne at Portland Florist Shop did this for me and I don think there are many florist shops that would do that for anyone in the whole country. They have my business for life in their delivery area.

2 years ago Experiencia negativa: You know the customer service is bad when they argue with the bad reviews. What I was told would be delivered was very far from what I received. No compassion or compensation for this horrible bouquet that was $100. Do not go here.

2 years ago Experiencia negativa: Frustrated. I was only informed - on the day of delivery - that the original plant I requested wasn't available, and they already chose for me what plant to send - which is en-route for delivery, even before I was informed of this sudden change.. I was left with no option. I also included delivery instructions, but seemed to be ignored.. Because when I rang the shop, it was only then, that they learned about the instruction, and she even made a comment "it is too many words so". Take note, I placed this order 1 week in advance, hoping to avoid these instances. But still handled poorly.. Update : what I ordered was priced at $59.99 but what was delivered was another plant which I checked, was priced at $37.95 per their website. I hope management will look into this.
Your order said from Ireland so I emailed you as soon as I found out the plant was not available from our wholesaler. We substituted it with another pink plant that was similar. I just now got your email and replied. Working with living products sometimes certain items are not available and we do mention that when ordering online with flowers and plants.
We did not ignore your delivery instructions as this was delivered before 12:00 our time. When you order from us you do get a confirmation email
that explains our delivery times when we deliver. Someone called this morning about your order and I explained that to him that our delivery
time would be before 12pm on the west side of town.
Also the plant you saw online for a lesser price was a 4inch pot
not a 6inch pot. We sent a 6inch pot same size as the one you ordered not a 4 inch small one.

3 years ago Experiencia negativa: I'm simply going to be completely honest here.. I hired them for an event and I did not receive what I ordered, half of the order was Missing. I expected to receive what I had requested and Paid for. The flowers were absolutely the most PITIFUL looking flowers I have ever seen from a florist. So disappointed and all during a Stressful time. And when I was inside the store I clearly saw a RAT running around. Thank Goodness I had my purse closed up, that Rat could have easily jumped inside. As far as I am concerned I Waisted my time and my money here at the Portland Florist Shop on 118th and Glisan. Very disturbing and disappointing. And YES I am Positive that I am referring to the Correct Shop and location.. I have the Receipt to Prove it.. My Receipt has the address on it. Portland Florist Shop on 118th and Glisan.. I DO NOT Recommend IT.

We called Portland Florist at 3:30 (they close at 4) they were able to make a corsage and boutonniere and have it ready for us within a half hour; making it in time for pictures. 3 years ago Experiencia positiva: Ladies who work there are sweet and polite but very limited for test in beauty. Try to travel to East cost or abroad for learning some new stuff. P. S. I pay My money for what I want if you doesn't help me with it, I went 20 minutes later at other store and you loose 100 $. Sorry. Good luck
We don’t let people in the back of our work cooler area anymore. Sorry if that was a problem for you. We have our flowers that are reserved in that area and we explained to you we could bring out the ones that are available but you wanted to go see them. By the way have traveled back east many times

3 years ago Experiencia fantástica: A relative who lives out-of-state had a floral arrangement sent to us from this florist. It was the most exquisite floral arrange we have ever received. Top of the line. Artistic. A blend of perfectly formed fresh rare blossoms. What we received was of a far higher artistic and exotic quality that any of the arrangements on this company's website.

3 years ago Experiencia negativa: So disappointed. My little sister wanted to surprise our mom with some tulips on her birthday. We paid 114 dollars to get the biggest size they had only to receive the smaller version that they sell for $37. I contacted them through chat and they gave me some excuse about how these tulips will grow to be as tall as they appear on the picture? Something along those lines. But like ma’am I paid for them to already be grown that tall. ♀️ On top of that they were a mix of different colors, and not as many as they appear to be in the picture and the vase was bigger then in the picture as well. Just wack man
Tulips do grow we don’t send them super tall or they would outgrow the vase. You paid for 30 tulips and that is what we sent. You ordered at midnight last night we cannot magically have the exact color you requested for a morning delivery you requested this morning. I explained this to you on chat. Google growing tulips after cut in a vase if you choose not to believe a florist.
3 years ago Experiencia fantástica: It was a complicated situation but it was well handled in the end. We ordered a "luxury" bouquet through AVAS and it was handled by Portland Florist. We placed the order on the Friday before 4th of July weekend and payed extra for a rush to get it there (Adventist Hospital) before 2 pm. We had a small time window because our daughter was transferring out of the hospital to rehab later that day. Long story short, the flowers didn't get there on time and we couldn't pick them up and take them to her because my wife and I were both on covid quarantine. They re-did the entire bouquet and delivered it to her July 5th. It is beautiful and has gotten many compliments.

4 years ago Experiencia positiva: Drove past here and wanted a coffee/pastry since people rave about it. Unfortunately, for my tasting it wasn't bad nor was it the greatest. The pastry was a little too dry for me and the coffee was a little weak for someone who loves coffee. Please try it once because it's a local business and that I support.
Thankyou for your review. We had recently reopened when you stopped by after being closed for 2 years. We have things running great now hope you stop by again. And yes reviews are important to small biz especially after closing for 2 years.
