Fantastic experience: I had my Bridal Celebration at Kendalls Florist and it was absolutely amazing. From start to finish, Louise and Gail were so accommodating to both me and my group, and everything was incredibly well planned and executed. The workshop was set up with the most beautiful, high-quality flowers, and we were guided in such detail through creating and hand-tying our own bouquets. It was such a special experience to share with my friends and family. I would highly recommend this not only to other brides-to-be, but to anyone looking to learn a new skill in a warm and professional environment. We all left with large, beautiful bouquets, and everyone truly enjoyed the day!

Fantastic experience: We recently had Kendall’s curate our wedding flowers and we couldn’t have asked for more beautiful wedding flowers. From the bouquets to the buttonholes and centrepieces, every detail was absolutely perfect. The arrangements were fresh, elegant, and clearly created with so much care and creativity. Negative experience: £92.50 for 12 individual roses, “take it or leave it”. I visited this florist hoping to purchase some roses, but the experience was extremely disappointing. The florist's attitude was unwelcoming and off-putting from the start, very condescending. When it came to wrapping the roses, the job was done poorly and loosely, lacking any attention to detail. To add insult to injury, I was quoted an exorbitant price of £92.50 for just 12 single roses, which had no additional arrangements or extras included. I was also told to “take it or leave it”, which explains everything. This price is outrageous and completely unjustified. I left feeling ripped off even though I didn’t buy it. I would not recommend this florist to anyone looking for quality service or reasonable prices. Go to Morrisons across the road and get double the roses for half the price. I don’t want a reply from this business as nothing is to be said. This experience must be shared to those interested in flowers in the local area.

Fantastic experience: Kendall Florist created the most beautiful flowers for our UK wedding. We asked for a bouquet, a buttonhole, and a small corsage for our dog, Penny - and each one was perfect. The bouquet was elegant and fresh, the buttonhole complemented it beautifully, and Penny’s tiny corsage was such a thoughtful touch. Everything matched our brief exactly and was clearly crafted with care. We received so many lovely comments on the flowers, and they looked fantastic in our photos. Negative experience: Poor after sales support I recently ordered the normal arrangement of flowers for £75 this being for me and my wife’s Wedding Anniversary. I always order (without fail) Thistles to be included in the order as this represents mine and my wife’s all important Keltic origins. On receiving the flowers I noticed that the Thistles had been missed off the order. On phoning Kendalls being very disappointed, but with the expectation that thistles would be provided immediately, on speaking to the business owner ‘Louise’, rather than apologising and trying to recover the situation, she was very defensive and even accused me of being ‘rude’?! I have to report this was a very poor experience and so would not recommend using Kendalls.

Fantastic experience: We had Kendalls Florist supply the flowers for our wedding on 13/06/2025, and we couldn't be more pleased with the flowers or the service that they provided. We decided to be a little un-traditional in that we mainly had potted plants that guests could take away from the event rather than regular bouquets / centre pieces, and Kendalls (Louise & Christine) were more than happy to cater for this. They provided a beautiful selection of pots, all in a similar style, filled with fragrant and healthy lavender. They also did a brilliant job of combining dried lavender and fresh flowers in the bridal bouquet for my wife and buttonhole for myself to tie everything together. Everything was delivered to the hotel and restaurant on time, and they were all very friendly and knowledgeable about what was in season and what would go well together. All in all, if we have need for more flowers in the future, we would definitely use Kendalls again.

Fantastic experience: Kendall’s did our wedding flowers on the 26.04.25 and were absolutely blown away by their service. At our planning meeting their professionalism and knowledge shone through, I told them the style and colours of what I wanted (not much knowledge from me of what flower is what) and within 5 minutes I was presented with a stunning display. Kendall’s delivered the flowers to us at our venue which saved us that job on a very busy day, when they arrived it’s safe to say I blubbed like a baby - they were beautiful beyond belief, they smelt so fresh and lasted for weeks after which meant we really could get the most enjoyment from them. Fantastic experience: We got our wedding flowers done here and they were incredible! Firstly the consultation was fab, with us being shown what would be in season and some different styles we could go for. We got a summary together and then made a couple of amendments later and it was no issue. Louise, Christine and Gail were then at the venue doing the dressing and were fabulous with the end effect being just what we wanted. They visited the wedding venue to double check our measurements for an archway prior, were speedy to respond to our queries AND came in under our budget! What more could you want? They were such a fantastic supplier. The flowers then lasted for several weeks when we took them back home, showing the brilliant quality.

They brought what I had envisioned to life, and created a wonderful spring bouquet and spring arrangements for our reception. Negative experience: If you don't want to ruin the mood and the surprise, PLEASE AVOID this shop. I didn't receive the delivery of flowers that should be very special for me at this day and this moment. This confused the boyfriend, who tried to do his best and give a pleasant attention gift. The Lady lied in the email notice that she tried to mobile me. That is not true at all, as she was so inattentive to the client and didn't check the order details. We had a very unpleasant and selfish conversation, during which I heard a lot of excuses that the shop didn't have delivery, a van, time, etc., which made me much more frustrated and disappointed. She cut the phone conversation and ignored me leaving an offer to deliver flowers next Monday (that is already not necessary) or the next year (that is silly and not respective) What I wish for this shop in the New Year is just to leave this business, as you spoil very nice days, don't know how to run the business, and don't care about clients. Such poor service kills any desire to deliver flowers and make surprises.

Fantastic experience: Kendall’s did the flowers for our wedding this July including the table decorations. The flowers were fantastic and even better than I could imagine. The whole process was great and Louise and the team were so accommodating when I asked to change the colour of one of the buttonholes. Would not hesitate to recommend Kendall’s to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I am so pleased that I chose Kendalls to do my wedding flowers - from my first visit to the store, I could tell the quality of the flowers and customer service was impeccable, but it really did surpass my expectations. My wedding bouquet was exactly what I had envisioned - I loved the range of colours and the 'wildflower' quality, which is just what I asked for. The way Louise managed to match this up with the table flowers just tied everything together so neatly, and enabled me to bring my rustic barn wedding vision to life! We also brought the top table wreath and one of the table bouquets to the graves of departed loved ones after the event, so it is very special that we were able to leave the flowers to rest there after the day, as a way of involving them in the wedding in some way. Negative experience: Disgraceful service towards my parents. Granted, I appreciate Kendalls organised flowers for me on the same day, but to treat my parents like they were imbeciles is beyond a joke. My parents came to pick up the flowers on my behalf and yes, there was some confusion with the order, but for my elderly parents to leave feeling upset is enough for me to never return. They stated that the lady who served them was abrupt and rude; there appears to be a trend with other reviews where other customers have felt the same so this is definitely not an isolated incident. I've lived in St.Albans for the past 30 odd years and I will almost certainly never be returning. Kudos to the delivery driver who initially answered the phone, who was extremely pleasant and welcoming! UPDATE: I find it hilarious that this florist does not maintain common courtesy or decorum to respond to my review, but happy to reply to others! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! SECOND UPDATE: I can duly confirm this is Kendall's florist in St. Albans, for which I live almost opposite your shop. Negative experience: I just picked up two bouquets from the shop. The flowers are fine, nothing amazing but fine, but the lady at the shop was super cold and borderline rude. She didn't even say thank you or goodbye when I left. I wouldn't recommend and will not be going back myself.

Fantastic experience: We ordered some floral arrangements for my Mother, Mother in Law, via phillips funeral services. We chose the design and left the rest to the funeral directors and Kendals. The flowers for the arrangement "MUM' has some lovely white flowers, with a lily and small ribbon by the lily. They looked amazing, so fresh. For the arrangement 'NAN' was made with pink flowers and hints of green . Again the arrangement was great, flowers were fresh and delivered to funeral directors in time for her service. Thank you for such beautiful flowers, prices were comparable with other florists, the quality of the stems were beautiful making the arrangements so good.

Fantastic experience: Louise from Kendals did our wedding flowers in September. We tried to keep everything local to St Albans and we were so happy we chose Kendals as our florist. I had a very thorough consultation, I was shown examples of what Louise thought I wanted and we designed a concept together. Closer to the wedding date Louise went above and beyond expectations, liaising with our 2 different venues and was solving issues I didn’t even know existed in order for my vision to be executed perfectly. The level of detail was incredible and the flowers absolutely beautiful. Thank you Kendals and Louise, I loved everything about our flowers and couldn’t have been happier.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Kendalls Florist more for weddings. They are exceptionally professional and knowledgeable, not just regarding flowers, but also about the local wedding venues, and are able to give valuable advice and suggestions about what would work best for different venues. They are also extremely accommodating and took great care to ask my preferences. They have a large collection of photos of their past works that was very helpful in giving inspiration and made it much easier for me to visualise things and express what I was looking for. Fantastic experience: Ever since we originally visited the florists, almost a year ago, to have an initial discussion about the flowers for our daughter's wedding, we have been nothing but highly impressed with the service received. Fantastic experience: I can’t thank Louise and the team at Kendalls enough for the beautiful flowers they produced for my wedding day. Picking my flowers was one of my favourite parts of the planning process. Louise completely understood what I wanted and had envisaged for the wedding day and nothing was too much trouble for her. The team went above and beyond to ensure the bouquets, chapel and marquee looked as beautiful as they possibly could. Their efforts didn’t go unnoticed as I was flooded with compliments about the flowers from our guests and they look absolutely beautiful in our wedding photos. Our wedding day was an extremely hot one at 35 degrees, but the team did not let the high temperatures hold them back and the flowers still looked beautifully fresh late into the evening and into the next day. Fantastic experience: I had Kendall’s provide my wedding flowers for my wedding 19th August 2022. First time getting married it’s pretty daunting and I viewed a good few florists. After viewing all of them, without a doubt Kendall’s came out on top! From the moment we arrived we had such a personal experience and I gave a vague description of what I wanted and straight away I was being shown examples face to face. The final product was beyond what I had ever pictured and without a doubt from beginning to end my experience was so touching, personal, perfect, professional and friendly!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Kendalls Florist. Flowers were exactly as described and the team were quick to respond to a last minute request to change the date of delivery.

Negative experience: I am writing this review so that people who are considering funeral flowers from here can just think carefully before they proceed. We recently used this florist for a funeral that we arranged through the COOP. Despite the fact that the florist is a few hundred yards down the road from the COOP (walking distance therefore), everyone who ordered flowers was charged a delivery fee of £5.95. I called to try and talk to the owner about this but she declined to call me back. Funeral flowers are so expensive anyway and having rung several other florists to check if this is industry practice (because I didn’t want to write an unfair review), I have sadly now come to the conclusion that this is just making money out of people’s misery. This just does not sit well with me given the circumstances of the orders and especially so at a time of economic pressure for so many people. Lots of fabulous florists around so have a look before you and all of your loved ones get charged a delivery fee of £5.95 for every arrangement separately ordered, all of which will be dropped off together, a few yards down the road.

Positive experience: Ordered for AM delivery. Called at midday to be told to expect them in an hour. Told them I was disappointed but they didn’t seem interested in offering anything in the way of an apology. I won’t be using them again. Tip: Don’t give the customer the option to order AM vs PM if you can’t uphold it.

Fantastic experience: Kendalls Florist provided beautiful flowers for my wedding at Hatfield House. Louise understood exactly what I wanted - purples, greens, and whites, in a loose natural style, and a meadow-like feel - and executed it perfectly on the day. I ordered a bridal bouquet, six bridesmaid bouquets, multiple corsages and buttonholes, jam jars for the dining tables, and one showstopper display for the register table. The flowers included delphiniums, scabious, lisianthus, oxys, and more. Everything looked stunning. The bridal bouquet even survived being thrown across the garden! Massive thanks to Louise and the team, especially given the intense 36 degree heatwave conditions on the day itself.

Negative experience: My husband ordered me flowers for our anniversary, they were delivered to my workplace on a Tuesday and were all dead and had to go in the bin on Saturday, with delivery these flowers were 50.00 I was very disappointed they only lasted 4 days, I followed the instructions and care of the flowers so on Monday I called kendalls to speak to the manager who was not available so the lady took my name and number, I waited until Wednesday for a call which did not happen, so I called again left my details to be told I would get a call back, it is now Thursday afternoon still no call, needless to say I will not be ordering from kendalls again

Negative experience: THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I’VE EXPERIENCED! Even a 1 star review is a lot for this place, I actually can’t believe how terrible the service was. My husband had sent me flowers to work for our anniversary, but unfortunately the flowers didn’t make it home as the bag that the flowers and vase was in must’ve been damaged, so the bag ripped on the bottom and smashed the vase into pieces. I called the store and I explained what had happened and the staff member on the phone said to come in the next day when the manager is In, so the very next morning my husband took in the flowers and explained the situation to the manager, who didn’t seem to care and said it’s not their fault and nothing can be done. But actually yes it was their fault as the bag they provided was damaged, and they should’ve of told us to go in if they were not going to do anything about it. My husband left the shop feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. So I sent them a lengthy email, which they didn’t respond to until I called them 2 days later! Again they responded with we can’t do anything about it, it’s not our fault. I’m still shocked because had that been my shop at the very least I would’ve said to my customer that they can BUY a new vase and I’ll sort them out with plant food! But because their customer service is that bad they didn’t even offer that! It would’ve been a win-win for both parties. I am new to this area, and you would’ve been my local florist but I know now never to use you lot again! I’m appalled by your service!!

Fantastic experience: I recently bought a fresh beautiful bunch of flowers (hydrangea and nigella arrangement). As a birthday present my fiancée loved them, as the previous year I also got flowers from Kendall’s and they went down a storm. Unfortunately around Tuesday the Nigella and Hydrangeas started to die. I called up to query it (Wednesday) and nigella only last around four days anyway. The lovely women in the store told me to pop in and she would take a look at them. I called in and they politely said the hydrangeas weren’t cut properly and didn’t have a good drink. They were fresh the morning I bought them so they needed a good watering and obviously needed to be cut correctly. I imagine normally they wouldn’t do this but as a good will gesture, they very very kindly replaced the hydrangeas and put in more Nigella. I wasn’t expecting this at all and was extremely happy with how they handle the situation and my incompetence to keep flowers alive . Moral of the story kids is to listen to exactly everything they say when buying flowers/ taking them home and feeding them!! Tip: you can take your own vase in and they will arrange flowers in that vase or to accommodate to it

Fantastic experience: Delighted with the gift I ordered for my wife's birthday which arrived in perfect time on the day, in the morning. The short-cut flowers in a jar have a very catchy name "Spring Jar of Hope" which is the perfect sentiment for this time of year (in the depths of January) and of course hope for a way out of the terrible year we've all had. The flowers have come to life since delivery two days ago and are looking very splendid and happy! I would thoroughly recommend Kendalls and I'm very pleased I made the decision to shop local. Well done!

The staff were so helpful and when the flowers were delivered my mum was over the moon, they were gorgeous. Would highly recommend, why not help support your local florist in these tough times.

Fantastic experience: I had a bouquet in a hat box delivered to a friend after her surgery. I would usually physically go in to choose flowers but with the lockdown that wasn't possible. The quality of flowers was amazing, they looked great and my friend loved them.

Fantastic experience: I was lucky enough to receive a Christmas arrangement from Kendalls florist. It was beautiful and lasted for many weeks. You couldn’t ask for more. I have always found the staff so helpful and friendly. Plus the shop has a wonderful display of gifts and cards for every occasion. Can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: I ordered a flower arrangement for my late Aunties funeral last week to be delivered straight to the funeral home. Positive experience: Ordered mother’s day flowers, upgraded to luxury bouquet. Flowers were nice and pretty but disappointed with quantity and looked more like a standard bouquet. Disappointing really for the price paid. Shame as I like to support local companies but will probably have to order elsewhere now....real shame....
