1 month ago Negative experience: I would not recommend utilizing this flower delivery service. Beyond the price of the flowers, I paid an additional $32 to have the flowers delivered on a Friday to a business location. The delivery service didn’t arrive until 6pm. Well after any normal business’s hours. The flowers didn’t get delivered until the next day. I would not have paid $32 to have flowers sent to a home when other organizations (like Amazon) can do this for free. I reached out to the company and unfortunately got no resolution.
We are sorry to hear you did not have a good experience with us.
We tried to deliver to the business location on that Friday, but found out the recipient had left work early. Our driver then contacted the recipient and asked if there was a home address he could deliver to on that Friday evening(the same delivery date). He was told that no one would be home to recieve the flowers, and to deliver them on Saturday(the next day). We did deliver them, as was requested, on Saturday(the next day). We sincerely apologize to you that it did not work out the way you planned it; we did the best we could do to fix the delivery situation, even though the final result was not the outcome we wanted either.

2 months ago Negative experience: I gave one star for the quick delivery. However, don’t bother picking out an arrangement on their website. It will not look ANYTHING like it. I understand the need to substitute flowers, but not all of the flowers. It wasn’t even the same color scheme as the arrangement that I picked. If the business did not have the flowers available, they should have given me a quick call or email. At least I would not have been expecting to receive an arrangement somewhat similar to what I ordered. When I emailed this business with pictures and commented that I think the wrong arrangement was sent, I was told they reserve the right to substitute and that they didn’t have any of the flowers in the arrangement available. This business then proceeded to block me. Please beware of this business and find another florist. They even state on their website that they want all customers to be satisfied and to notify them if you aren’t. If you notify them, you get blocked! I tried NUMEROUS times to reply to the email that they sent me attached to my complaint and it came back as “undeliverable” each time. That tells me that they did, in fact, block me. I had no issue getting the first email to go through. This BUSINESS is not being truthful! What an unpleasant experience. Below you will see the arrangement that I picked on the website and what was actually sent. There are many other options for florist in the area, find another one for your floral needs!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. We are truly dissapointed that you had a unpleasent experience; we want all of our customers to be satisfied with their experience with us. However, we need to clear up three points about this particular order.
Point 1: It is true we did inform you that we did not have all the flowers for this particular arrangement. That happens sometimes, unfortunately. This is why we reserve the right to substitute similar looking flowers. We did do our best to make a fresh arrangement as similar as possible to the one chosen.
Point 2: We are not a company; we are a local florist serving the Hampton Roads area.
Point 3: We did not block you because we NEVER block anyone for letting us know about their experience, good or bad. If a customer has a bad experience, we always try to resolve it as best we can. Unfortunately we cannot please everyone, even with suggested solutions for a bad experience between us and our customers.
We truly regret you had an unpleasent experience, and we hope this explained what we did in this situation better.
2 months ago Negative experience: My boyfriend spent over $130 for a Valentine’s Day delivery to my workplace, with clear instructions and both of our phone numbers provided. The arrangement was delivered after my office had already closed. No one called to notify us that they were running late — despite having both contact numbers. I live an hour away from my job and had to turn around halfway home to retrieve the flowers. Completely inconvenient and avoidable with a simple phone call. On top of that, we were charged $15 for a box of chocolates that retails for $4.99 at Lidl. That markup felt excessive and misleading. When I requested a refund due to the failed delivery timing, I was told to bring the flowers back to my workplace so they could pick them up — which is incredibly unprofessional considering the mistake was on their end. Very disappointed in the lack of communication and customer service, especially for such an important holiday.

We always strive to please all our customers, but we cannot always do that.
This is the second review for the same order, and as we said in our reply to Michael Johnson, we always deliver to business addresses first on busy holidays like Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, due to a mixup, we messed up and did not deliver to your workplace in a timely manner.
We offered two solutions to both of you: The first was to deliver another arrangement to your workplace because of the inconvenience our mistake caused you. The second was for you to bring the flowers you recieved back to your workplace, we would pick them up, and we would give you a full refund.
It is against our return policy to give a full refund without receiving the unwanted flower arrangements back. It is a fair trade between us and our customers. We are always more than willing to give a full refund as long as we get the flower arrangements back.
Both of our offers were rejected by you, but we offered the best we could to you.

2 months ago Negative experience: I placed an order the day before Valentine’s Day, expecting timely delivery to my girlfriend’s workplace during business hours. Unfortunately, the flowers were delivered late; after her job had already closed. Because of this, she had to turn around and go back just to pick up her own Valentine’s gift. What was supposed to be a thoughtful surprise ended up being inconvenient and frustrating. I understand Valentine’s Day is busy, but that’s exactly why timing and communication matter even more. There was no notice about the delay, and no effort to ensure the delivery was made while the business was open. Very disappointing experience. I can’t recommend this florist if you need reliable, on-time delivery for special occasions.

We always strive to please our customers, but sometimes we cannot do that.
Because the Valentine's season is so busy, we understand that business addresses need to be delivered to first. Unfortunately, through a mixup, that did not happen. That was on us, and we sincerely apolgize. When we were called and told about the situation, we offered another flower arrangement delivered to your girlfriend's workplace because we messed up the delivery for the first one.
We were told you wanted a full refund for your inconvenience, while keepin the flowers. Unfortunately, it is against our policy to give a full refund if the customer keeps the flower arrangement. You then said you would not use us again, and we ended the call.
About two hours later, we were called by the recipient and she also said she was disappointed with her experience and wanted a full refund while, again, keeping the flowers she recieved. We offered the same offer to deliver another flower arrangement because we messed up the delivery for the first one, but she refused.
We then made another offer: if she was willing to bring her flower arrangement to her work place, we would pick them up and give the customer a full refund. She refused to do this as well, and said she would leave another negative review for the same delivery and call the Better Business Bureau.
We understand this was a very frustrating experience; it was also frustrating for us to find out the driver did not deliver to this business in a timely manner. We did, however, offer two reasonable solutions to you and the recipent which were refused.
Again, we always strive to find solutions in case any of our customers are not satisfied, but in this situation no such solution could be agreed to.

3 months ago Fantastic experience: Received a beautiful Christmas arrangement of roses, carnations and an assortment of other beautiful flowers, in a wonderful porcelain gingerbread house. This was a gift from out of town relatives and is one of the prettiest arrangements we have ever received. The delivery driver was such a pleasant gentleman. The owner dropped everything she was doing to put together an incredible arrangement for my significant other just to her liking. 5 months ago Fantastic experience: Richard Shin from A Heavenly Florist went above and beyond to deliver my girlfriend a beautiful bouquet of flowers for her birthday. I did not have correct address information and he worked with me to figure out the correct address despite having attempted delivery already. When he came back to the correct address, she did not answer the door as she thought it may be a telemarketer. Richard was persistent and was able to get my girlfriend to finally come to the door. I truly appreciate the proactive effort he put into delivering my girlfriends gift from me, and maintaining the surprise. She loved the flowers, they were beautiful. 10/10 highly recommended!

6 months ago Negative experience: I have to say I was disappointed with their pricing approach. They wanted $70 for a plain, non-handmade vase, and to make matters worse, there were no prices displayed on the vases or anywhere else in the store. It gave me the impression they just throw out random numbers depending on who you are. In the end, I went to Food Lion and got a vase of flowers, a plant, and a bottle of wine for less than $60 total. They really need to adjust their prices and be more transparent.
We are sorry to hear you had a bad experience with us. As far as the way we set our prices, we never "throw out random numbers" based on how someone looks or who you are. Everything we sell has one price no matter who our customer is. However, we absolutely need to improve in price transparency by putting prices on our arrangements, and we thank you sincerely for pointing that out. To address our price points in general: Flowers from any florist shop are generally going to be more expensive than flowers you get from any grocery store. This is because we buy higher quality flowers from our suppliers. We, and any other flower shop, also design the arrangements personally for our custmers; that is also a service that needs to be accounted for in the cost. A grocery store will never offer that. And finally, prices are generally going up for everything right now and flowers are certainly included too. We hope this explains the pricing issue, and we hope you give us another chance!

The flowers lived so much longer than I expected & the person who delivered it (who works in the shop) was so unbelievably sweet when he dropped them off. 6 months ago Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience with A Heavenly Florist! I don’t live in the area and wanted to send condolence flowers to a dear friend. So I looked at several florists in Newport News and Hampton, and decided on A Heavenly Florist because they offered a beautiful white potted orchid. I placed my order online for same day delivery. A couple hours later, I received a call from the florist who apologized and explained they didn’t have a white orchid and asked if I would be ok with the beautiful purple orchid that was also on their website. I told her I really wanted white and that was reason I’d selected this florist. She apologized again, and said they would find a white orchid for delivery by the next day. I thanked her and requested they send me a photo, which they did. Then this morning I received a text message from my friend with a photo of the GORGEOUS white orchid she received! Many thanks to A Heavenly Florist for impeccable customer service and for going so far beyond with the white orchid flower my friend received. They will be my go-to florists for all time! Thank you thank you!!

I’m known for being quite picky about flower arrangements, but A Heavenly Florist delivered a gorgeous arrangement. The mix of queens lace and lisianthus were a nice touch. 8 months ago Fantastic experience: Terrific florist. I made a mistake with the delivery address and I emailed the florist. Richard called me within two hours to clarify the address of the funeral home and other details. The customer service is superb. I didn't get to see the arrangement due to being out of town. It was the caring and kindness of the florist. I will definitely use them again if I need to send flowers to the 757.

The flowers are well color coordinated and the vase is full..They don't skimp on the flowers. When delivered the deliverer is courteous, and pleasant. Staff was so helpful and friendly, they delivered within a few hours of ordering, and the arrangement was beautiful. Not only that, but they smelled heavenly. 10 months ago Fantastic experience: This delivery was made on 5/21 a gift from our godparents, who literally live across the country. The florist called to be sure the flowers were delivered fresh and with someone home to receive them. We are still very new to this city and state, so we were not even aware of this florist. The flowers smell beautiful, and the arrangement is perfect. This review is several days post delivery, and flowers are blooming beautifully. There are no petals wilting or water change needed. I am amazed at the quality of these flowers. I usually have to change the water within 24 hours and daily if I receive flowers from other florists in the area, but not here. Again, I'm new to the city and state, but 2 of our children passed away in 2023, when we relocated here, and so have gotten flowers for their Angelversary dates and birthdays as memorial celebrations but none were this long lasting.

10 months ago Negative experience: Super disappointed with my order from this shop. I placed an order on Tuesday for my sisters college graduation that I could not attend and set it for pickup on Saturday. I sent a relative who was in town to pick them up and received a phone call asking if they were supposed to look like the pictures online. I said “ummmm I would hope so, why?” And she said they looked nothing like the pictures. She asked the florist why does it not look like the pictures and she said they run out of the colored flowers showed online but they can switch some of the colors if she was not pleased. I personally don’t even know what they looked like the first try but I’m still not completely stratified with what was left. My problem is why was I not notified when I placed my order that they will not look like the flowers I picked? I simply would have canceled my order and chose a different style. My sister was still very happy and said they looked beautiful so maybe they look better in person.

11 months ago Fantastic experience: Amazing flowers ! My husband ordered me two bouquets for Mother’s Day ! FTD messed up the order and I received one bouquet in an FTD box with mostly dead flowers and the second from A Heavenly Florist . Pictured below. Then a couple of hours later the florist from A Heavenly Florist wanted to deliver another bouquet! I explained to them that their bouquet was beautiful and it was the other florist that sent mostly dead flowers. I can only assume that after my husband called FTD customer service that was another miscommunication on FTD’s part. Either way they wanted to fix it immediately. They have won my heart over with this beautiful arrangements and customer service!
