Positive experience: Have gotten flowers here many times in the past with no issues. This time, paid the extra for deluxe bouquet, received what I believe to be the basic bouquet with narrower vase than depicted. Arrangement was very tall and narrow, had the number of flowers we expected, but not a full looking bouquet at all. Beautiful arrangement though.

Fantastic experience: I'm very pleased with the service and arrangement I ordered for a funeral service. I had called earlier and was given their website to look at flowers they had available. I found something I liked it just wasn't in the colors I wanted. It was all white and wanted to add some color. I told them the arrangement and I like and if they could change some of the flowers! There was no issues at all I told them the colors I wanted added and discussed flowers they could do to still accommodate the price range I needed. It's always scarry ordering over the phone or trusting them since I wanted some changes. I just saw the arrangement at the funeral home and I am beyond please with it! I called her Friday morning to see if it would be possible to make and deliver an Arrangement to my Husband’s gravesite before Sunday she said she would do her very best but at the latest it would be Monday and she would get me a picture and text it to me since I live out of state now. Negative experience: I have used this florist because my great grandmother, my grandmother and my mother all used this place for everything. I used to get pretty good service but in October of 2024, on our Annie they flowers showed up damaged and some were broken, I called upset because they were very expensive and the manager never called me back. Valentine’s Day 2025, I called them to let them know my wife’s office would be closing earlier than planned and they would need to deliver earlier but they didn’t have the order and so that was that, they wouldn’t accept I placed an order even though we all knew it was now too late, then I was called and asked if I didn’t call the wrong florist…I have them programmed into my phone just as I always have. I love supporting small local business but being insulted as a stupid person who doesn’t know what florist he uses is ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: I ordered flowers long distance from the online ad showing the different arrangements and when delivered, it looked exactly like the photo! I was well pleased as the sender and the recipient was too. I ordered the arrangement to be delivered to an office that got closed due to the icy weather. They changed in mid-delivery and took it to the recipient's home for me. That is great customer service and a well made flower arrangement. Thanks! I highly recommend this florist.

Fantastic experience: Ordered online for the funeral of a co-workers family member and after submitting the order, I immediately realized that I had forgotten to put our names on the sympathy card. I called the store and they were helpful, polite, and guaranteed me that they would make sure that it was handled before the flowers were sent to the funeral home later that day. They did a wonderful job on the floral arrangement and as promised made sure that they were delivered with our sincerest condolences to our co-worker and his extended family. Capital Hill Florist was able to help in both designing an arrangement and getting a delivery setup the same day. Obviously, there will be times that something like that service just can not be achieved, but it really saved my backside in this case, and I appreciate that a lot! The vase, flowers, fullness, color, and delivery were spot on! They arrived exactly when they said they would. The driver had great energy, very pleasant upon delivery. As a guy, I can not understate how relieving it was to interact with the staff, explaining how I'm not good at this type of stuff, and she walked me through the whole process and delivered huge! She made every option feel viable with clear direction. Oh, and she was able to build the entire arrangement within my budget, including delivery! Highly recommend for those "happy birthdays," "I'm sorrys," and "congratulations" type of occasions!

She also coordinated the delivery to a small church which did not have full time on-site staff. I was so impressed with her attention to detail and her followup with me. Fantastic experience: I have yet to go back to Capitol Hill Florist, and thank them for the, most beautiful bouquet I have ever purchased . T R U L Y... It was for my Wife, (our anniversary) . The staff is super friendly and professional. Every plant, flower, accessorie that I inquired about, was immediately identified. And I was given detailed information about each floral arrangement, in order to get EXACTLY what I was looking for. I hope the pictures I post, do this bouquet justice. And I was informed, that the bouquet I chose was very pleasant to the senses. It was less than 1 hour before our entire home smelled of these exotic lilies, accompanied by the rest of the arrangement. The longevity of the flowers was pleasantly surprising! Approximately 14-17 days before they even started to wilt...we enjoyed them so much we kept moving the vase to different parts of our home...We all know prices are up on everything. A year ago I spent $120 from a local florist with delivery. I was not happy due to not getting what I ordered, and the petite product with the hefty price. At Capitol Hill I paid well over $150 for the bouquet. Yet, the customer service, appearance of the flowers , size ( Large , if not VERY large), longevity, and again its unforgettable natural, bold, exotic smell that I will not soon forget....was worth every cent, I can't see going anywhere else...

Fantastic experience: The delivery driver apologized to my parents for delivering my mom’s Mother’s Day bouquet at 8:30 AM the day before Mother’s Day, but he definitely didn’t need to because that meant my mom got to enjoy the wonderful bouquet even longer! It was so convenient to go onto the website and choose from their gorgeous preset arrangements that could be delivered same-day! I accidentally chose this option, but called them immediately after and the sweet lady over the phone made sure to get it delivered on the desired date. As someone who lives in California, I was nervous the flowers would arrive unbeknownst to me or my business partner, but they went the extra mile to call and inform me right at point of delivery. Knowing they were sympathy flowers, the delivery man was mindful to ask whether he should ring the doorbell or not (the attention to detail made a world of a difference). Fantastic experience: Recently had a friend share how they had ordered flower delivery for their mother in law online for her birthday and when it came looked nothing like the picture and was tiny. I had recently ordered flowers from Capitol Hill Florists so I send my friend the picture of what I had ordered and asked if it had been similar. She said they were gorgeous. She had loved them. If you want something cheap then order something cheap and don’t be surprised that your money didn’t get you what you ordered. If you want to spend a little extra ( or a lot… I don’t know what you did! ) and know you are getting what you paid for AND has an actual store you can call and talk to an actual person, then spend your money at Capitol Hill. I’m actually ordering another bouquet to be delivered Tuesday for another friend’s birthday. I wish I had asked for a photo but I’ll post what I ordered.
