Fantastic experience: I was so blessed to be referred to LaVassar Florists to create a stunning arrangement for my father's memorial service. I only gave them a few days to work with and they pulled together a really beautiful arrangement of blue and white flowers that complimented the altar so well. To order, I looked at the website, gave them a version of a sympathy flower arrangement, but asked if they could do different colors that might dad liked. They made all the updates and chose flowers that were in season and it was so beautiful. They called several times to check in and then sent photos of the arrangement ahead of time so that we could see how they did before the service. I can't recommend them enough!

I referenced a bouquet on LaVassar's website that I liked and asked for a larger arrangement with UW colors because of the significance they had. The person who asked me to order the arrangement was really pleased with the results, and I was too. The arrangement was colorful and generously full based on the price paid. Thank you again! In July 2024, I ordered another arrangement from LaVassar, this time one for a construction client. I asked them to customize it with "summer-y blues and greens." They did a fabulous job yet again.

Fantastic experience: 2024 EDIT - It’s been four years since my original review, and I am still so amazed by their beautiful arrangements and quality. These florists truly are artists. Adding another picture from this year because this arrangement is just too beautiful not to share. I don’t leave a ton of reviews but this place is so special. It’s one of the few florists I’ve used where the arrangements that are delivered look even better than the pictures on the site. Thank you! If you're looking for an amazing, trustworthy florist in Seattle...look no further. I have used them probably a half dozen times and have always been blown away by how lovely their arrangements are. I don't live in the area, so I always use them to deliver flowers to my mom. Many times this occurs on national holidays (such as Mother's Day). Their quality NEVER suffers despite the increase in demand. My mom always goes on and on about how beautifully presented the arrangements are, and the flowers are always extremely fresh and long-lasting. My mom also made a point of saying how friendly and nice the man who delivered the flowers was. I'll never use another florist in Seattle because I feel as if I've found a true gem in LaVassar Florists. LaVassar is one-of-a-kind...I really trust them as a wonderful family-owned business. I love supporting them. Their designs are absolutely beautiful and really unique...their arrangements clearly aren't something you could pick up at any florist. I think their prices are quite reasonable for the value, quality, and artistic touch of their arrangements. You can tell they take pride in what they do and have a true eye and talent for making beautiful and unique floral arrangements. She's done floral arrangements and bouquets for both my wedding ceremony and reception and they both turned out beautifully, better than I could have dreamed. The personal touch is amazing: we met in person several times for consultations, talked on the phone, and she even delivered the flowers herself to the reception space! She listened to my color palette and favorite flowers, shared with me what would be in season, was honest and upfront about what would and wouldn't work, and most importantly, built some stunning arrangements perfect for the events that I really treasured. LaVassar charges fair prices and is a wonderful local shop, you can't go wrong!

Fantastic experience: I am beyond words amazed and grateful with the experience I had with this florist. One of my best friends recently got married and I wanted to surprise him with flowers on his special day. I originally had scheduled a floral arrangement with a different florist online, and even though I gave them a heads up of 5 days and paid extra for assured delivery before noon they unfortunately never delivered. After that horrid experience I found LaVassar; and the florist I spoke with treated me with such empathy I was blown away. I had originally thought I wouldn’t be able to get any flowers to my friend same day but they went above and beyond here and in just under 2 and a half hours they had an arrangement put together 10x more beautiful than the one I had ordered at the other place AND they had delivered it too!!! I relocated a high profile executive across the country to Seattle and wanted her to feel a sense of comfort on the delivery day in her new residence. My client raved about receiving the flowers and it for sure helped her settle into her new residence easier. LaVassar had a very easy direct on-line ordering system, lots of options (I picked "Designer's Choice" for them to create), sent me a photograph of what the arrangement looked like prior to delivering, and sent me a notice when delivery was completed. La Vassar Florist is very customer service oriented. It cares about the customer experience in every step of interaction. I highly recommend them for any flower needs. They were great!

Also to add most notes from florists are typed up, my goodness the cursive writing on the card was SUCH a personal touch and I appreciated this very much! When they went to deliver no one was home and because of the cold snap & downpour we were experiencing they didn't want to leave it on front porch. No answer when they called recipient, they simultaneously called me to let me know and left plant with a neighbor, then left message for recipient. The thought and care to ensure a beautiful product was received (not just delivered) shows such a level of customer care! Will absolutely use again and recommend to others

My grandmother was a florist and I love to help design arrangements when I order them, however the designers are amazing here and I now just quickly call and order saying "do your amazing thing!". I called to discuss floral arrangements on the Tuesday prior to my father's Monday funeral, and Joanne kindly discussed the possibilities and what might look best for the occasion. A custom order was placed for two easel arrangements, and when I called with a question on Sunday which happened to be Mother's Day, she had stayed two hours after closing to continue working on the arrangement for my father's funeral. The easel arrangements were absolutely gorgeous, and beyond that, the experience of communicating and collaborating with someone who cares on the perfect product will keep me returning to LaVassar whenever I can.

The flowers and floral creations are beautiful all created there at LaVassars. Customer service is outstanding. I was asked my price range and given ideas to choose from. Negative experience: While I am not a client I have been a recipient of flowers from LaVassar for several years. In the past I have always received my order and communication along with it. This year I received a call from a stranger saying they had received my flowers. Not from the florist, mind you. I called LaVassar and gave them the correct address. They said they would make sure I received my flowers at the correct address and they would call to follow up. Having heard nothing for 2 days I called again and spoke with Judy. She said they'd been given the wrong address and I had requested the flowers not be sent for a week. I explained that I made no such request and was hung up on. I called back and continued to get push back from Judy. She said leaving a review would be 'unfair' because they have excellent reviews. I became agitated by the inaccuracy of their information and she hung up on me again. Here's what I know from my years in customer relations: It is unprofessional to blame the recipient of a gift for any errors on the part of the giver, if that is the case. It is unprofessional to say you will call a client to resolve an issue and not do so. It is not okay to essentially threaten someone about leaving a review on their experience. Own your mistakes and provide the customer service you say you're so well known for. There are SO many wonderful florists in Seattle...I'd recommend literally anyone other than LaVassar.

Fantastic experience: I ordered online, from outside of the state. The prices are extremely fair and reasonable for the area. The quality of the flowers was excellent. On top of that, the card was hand-addressed in beautiful cursive. I was able to get a super fresh, both in style and quality, arrangement to my brother with only a day’s notice. If I ever have to send an arrangement to someone in Seattle, this will forever be my go-to. We are a family of picky people and this florist comes highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Loved the Kaleidoscope arrangement as did the recipient. Florist even sent me a photo so I could see it. Wonderful! Highly recommended for timeliness, beautiful arrangement, and thoughtfulness in sending photo since I am out of state and would not have seen it in person. I will always use this florist for Seattle deliveries.

Fantastic experience: The arrangements are very creative and original, unlike what you get in most flower shops. I also appreciated the "Preview" feature where you can see the exact arrangement before it is delivered. Those I ordered it for really loved it.
