Experiencia negativa: My husband spent $96 on roses for valentine's day and the fowers arrived already wilted on the edges. This is the first experience we have had with Oberer's. Very disappointing for such a high cost.

Experiencia fantástica: I have now done two flower arranging classes with Julz, and they were both fantastic. The perfect balance of guidance and self expression. I don’t consider myself very artistic, but Julz made it easy. Would definitely recommend for friends or work groups.

Experiencia positiva: Great flowers. Great price. The flowers in there are beautiful and they are cheap. Some of them needed some care, but overall pretty. The man who checked us out was a bit inconsiderate and didn't wrap the flowers up for us. I would buy from there again definitely. I do recommend changing locations because they are right across the street from another great florist

I’ve always ordered from here and last year was a bust however we all deserve second chances right. They got it right this year. The flowers were very fresh and nothing broken. Ordered flowers for my mom’s birthday on January 5th 2025. They delivered BROKEN and DEAD flowers. They couldn’t give a time frame on when they would deliver new ones and she was leaving for the day. Still waiting on my $72.99 refund. Disappointed.

Experiencia negativa: They do not care about their customers. All they care about is money. If you complain about something on their Facebook page they will delete your comment and block you! They are a huge business with several locations and They DO NOT care about their customers or the communities they are in. Go to Ed Smith Flowers and Gifts instead. They really are a small business AND they raffle off a big flower arrangement every week and donate the money to one of the local food banks.
Experiencia negativa: Hello. This place was my go to for beautiful floral arrangements for the people I love. But when asked on Facebook if they could assist the local community during this trying time, they opted to block and delete people from the post. This company has been a part of our community for years and it would have been great if they could assist those in need. Even my post was affected where I suggested they donate one of their beautiful bouquets for a raffle where the money donated from it could go to local food banks. But no, they opted to be this way. So, other florists in the community were contacted as well and they were happy with this idea of the bouquet and raffle as a way to help the community, and will be doing this. I will be doing business and giving my money to these florists from now on.

Experiencia negativa: Not satisfied with plant arrangement delivered today (12May2025). Stems with no flower/plant attached. Reminds me of Charlie Browns Christmas tree!?! Could have been better arranged. Sad! Especially for almost a hundred dollars!?! Update: they made it better. Got full refund!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a fan of Oberer's having flowers from there gifted to me. I wanted a beautiful arrangement for someone special and so I went there. I was in a hurry because of schedule issues when I was meeting the person to gift them the flowers. Around July 31, 2005 Samantha was so kind and helpful assisting me with the process. I was so grateful. Who knows where she was off to or what she was in the middle of but I stopped her to ask a question and it lead to her helping me and them putting the arrangement together. Her customer service was excellent!!! I love how you can picked certain stuff out on the cooler and then they put something very pretty together with their great skills.

Experiencia positiva: REVIEW EDIT 09/13/2025: I received a call from Kayla, an Oberer’s manager. She apologized several times, and offered to send out another bouquet. It arrived shortly after our conversation. The quality and proportions were considerably better. I was saddened to hear they couldn’t locate my order history from the past years, but I guess that’s computers for you. Overall, I’m impressed with their desire to keep a customer, and the updated bouquet. ————————————————————————————— Our entire family has been using Oberer’s for more years than we can count. We’ve recommended them repeatedly, always insisting they do the very best job. Sadly, the last few arrangements we ordered lacked proportion, were very disorganized, and contained flowers with wilted edges. The last one literally had a bunch of baby’s breath, for which we paid extra, just thrown directly in the middle of two dozen roses. We’d expect this kind of quality from a $20.00 grocery store bouquet, but we were paying considerably more. It genuinely makes us sad, as Oberer’s has always been our go to. Now we have to find a new florist to trust. To Oberer’s, your quality has gone substantially downhill. We wish you the best with some kind of business recovery plan.

The Outdoor Stone that was included was also twice as large as I thought it would be. I will ALWAYS order from the store from now on. I had forgotten as a Dayton Native that the were the reliable choice!

I place an order for a flower arrangement, with a few misspelled words in the letter, and an address that was very difficult to locate, and they worked with me to fix all of the misspellings and found a way to get them delivered to the right address. They we're extremely polite and worked with me to make everything work out. Great customer service, beautiful arrangements, and overall just did an incredible job. Experiencia fantástica: I am originally from Dayton and still have friends/family there. Oberer's has always been my choice for the best flower arrangements there. I was blown away yesterday (Saturday) when I found that they were open (even open for a while on Sundays!), ordered flowers late in the morning and they were delivered in the afternoon to Miamisburg. You can't get better service and the arrangements are out of this world. Very skilled, artistic staff. Worth it!

Mia was incredible in her communication with me, helping me decide on my final selections, answering all of my questions, and generally being so supportive of me in my wedding planning process. Experiencia fantástica: My finance loves floral arrangements. For several years, Oberers has been my florist of choice. I send her large arrangements made by Mia on a regular basis. After attending the Cincinnati floral competition at the art museum, we encouraged Mia to participate in the floral competition at the Dayton Art institute. Not surprisingly she won first place. Amazing talent. Over the years, I have ordered from several floral shops (many that competed in the competition) but Oberer’s has been my favorite. Now oberers has Dayton’s best florist!!! Experiencia fantástica: I had the pleasure of working with Mia from Oberer's for flowers for my son's wedding. We had to work via phone with only one in- person visit as I live in another state. I cannot say enough about the service we received as well as the absolutely gorgeous arrangements that arrived on wedding day. She was thorough and patient and prompt in responding to all of my questions. She also offered many alternative ideas if something we wanted couldn't be obtained that time of year. Wedding flowers are not cheap and I also found their prices to be very competitive. If you're getting married (or just want great flowers) I would absolutely recommend contacting Mia at Oberer's.

Experiencia negativa: Ordered flowers for Mother’s Day to have them delivered. Received an email at 1700 stating that they were unable to deliver my order at 1300. Of course by the time I received the email they are closed already and there’s nothing I could do about it. Called them the next day just to find out that they really couldn’t tell me why they weren’t delivered. Said there was a gate code or something missing. I stated well that’s odd because it’s a residence with no gate and not a gated community. I said that I have had flowers from them delivered to the same address before with no issue. The lady I spoke with finally read the address back to me and there was a W in front of the road name that shouldn’t have been there. I pulled up my account and read her the address straight from how I entered it and she stated that’s not what pulled up on her end. So I proceeded to politely ask some questions cause this is clearly not an error on my end. She proceeds to state that she’s not going to argue with me and is not being combative. I said neither am I, I’m just trying to understand what happened given I paid a significant amount of money for the flowers and delivery just for them to not be delivered on the occasion that they were supposed to be. Only thing she offered was to redeliver them today. I totally understand that things happen, but there was no real effort to figure out the cause of my concern and no effort to do any type of compensation. What little information I did receive from the individual is that I provided all the correct information and I paid for a service to be provided on a special day and that service was not provided by no fault of my own. Customer service could really use some work and I think this will be the last time I use Oberer’s for flowers moving forward.

They were accidentally delivered to the wrong location, and I never received them. After a call, all was made right. Experiencia negativa: I have been a customer for over 30 years and I ordered 2 doz Calla Lilies for the funeral of my best friend last Tuesday and they were horrible. They were not in bloom but tightly closed looking like 24 sticks. By the end of the week they were still not open. Of course the funeral was over and the immediate family had flown home. I am furious. I have another funeral this week and I can't trust Oberer's with another arrangement and I can't afford to waste another $100.00 and get flipped off when I complained. Their service has changed since they've expanded to numerous cities. Courtesy and beautiful arrangements are no longer their priority. I'm done.

Experiencia positiva: Update- Had a horrible experience with my Valentine’s Day flowers, but spoke with the manager Kayla & she was incredibly apologetic & really cared. Went above & beyond to make it right for me. If you’re a FLORIST & flowers from Kroger via DoorDash are both better quality & more reliable delivery- REEVALUATE! They are coasting on their good reputation they no longer live up to. My last two deliveries from them were completely bungled…. Like…. Not even attempted by the promised time. Valentines flowers delivered the following day- roses were old & they were wilted & drooping within 15 hours of delivery, even with plenty of water! Also, my sister used to work for them arranging flowers & they work them like dogs for little pay. DO BETTER, OBERER’S!!!! Pitiful. It’s awful when someone spends good money to put a smile on your face by sending you flowers & it becomes a source of frustration & disappointment for both you & them. Also, they didn’t even tell the sender that my delivery was delayed! Reply to their reply…. YEAHHHH RIGHT I’m not in the computer! I’m DEFINITELY in your computer system bc you pulled me up twice on the phone- once with my BF, & once with me when I called the day before V day to verify the address (they mistyped what he told them)…. And guess what? They STILL didn’t have the right address on V Day! Waste of a phone call. Beyond disappointing. Now they’re trying to act innocent!

Experiencia fantástica: My wife received an order of flowers that was left on the porch and froze. What really matters is how the company responds when something like this happens and that's why I'm giving them 5 stars. They handled the problem like professionals and more than made it right. Things happen. That's life. But it's how you respond to those things that differentiates a good company from a bad one and these guys did the right thing. Thank you for turning around our experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I accidentally procrastinated and called Oberer’s an hour before they closed for a dozen Calla lilies. Not only did they have them in stock, but they created a beautiful arrangement in a vase while I driving to them and it was ready as I walked in the door! Experiencia fantástica: Just called Oberer's to see if I could get an arrangement delivered first thing in the morning. The hospital will not accept deliveries on the weekends due to staffing so Kim at Oberer's was soooo very helpful, friendly, & thoughtful and took the order over the phone and said she would have it delivered yet today. It's almost 4 pm here and she is going to make sure it gets delivered today!!!! AWESOME customer service!! I've used Oberer's in the past & have always been pleased but I feel this is above & beyond! Experiencia fantástica: Oberer's Flowers never disappoints with their arrangements. They are beautiful and shipments are always on time. I go to two different stores at times and the staff is easy to work with at both the Dayton and West Chester locations. This time I had a situation with shipping Condolences flowers to two different families. I'm grateful to the Dayton Manager, Tammy and her co-worker Kryssi, for going out of their way to correct a mistake....at their cost....that may have been my error! I truly appreciate the customer service and would highly recommend them.

Experiencia negativa: I specifically ordered lavender roses for my mom’s birthday because they’re her favorite. However, what arrived was completely wrong — a bouquet of random flowers that looked nothing like what I ordered. It was incredibly disappointing, especially for such an important occasion. I won’t be ordering from them again, and I suggest looking elsewhere if you want reliable service and quality flowers.

Experiencia negativa: I have used Oberer's Flowers for over 30 years. Unfortunately, their customer service has gone downhill. Last January I ordered my sister some flowers for her Birthday which she never received on her Birthday, instead she received the next day. No reason, no sorry just oooops. I had to call them after speaking to my sister and finding out that she didn't get any flowers! I ordered my Mom some Christmas flowers to be delivered yesterday to bring her some Christmas Cheer and called to follow up on the delivery after speaking to my Mom. My Mom was home but they stated no one answered. I called Customer Service to inquire and asked the Rep Chrissy if they called her and was told yes, they left her a voice mail message then she went on in the next couple sentences to say they didn't call her because they don't call everyone. I questioned what she had just said because she contradicted herself by stating they called and left my Mom a message then saying they didn't call her. I also explained to Chrissy that my Mom had no phone calls from them. She began screaming in the phone after telling me 2 different things that didn't even make sense about why the flowers were not re-delivered. I guess you aren't allowed to ask questions to try to figure out what went wrong here and can treat the consumer like garbage. I am not local to that area so I am not understanding why I provided my Mom's phone # when I ordered the flowers in case there was an issue. If she didn't answer the door, they could have simply called and she would more than likely have answered or if she had not answered, leave her a message stating they have a flower delivery for her and to give them a call. Instead, they left something on the door that was not even found until the afternoon when my Mom checked her mail. A simple phone call to the receiving party could have avoided all of this. Very disappointing to be treated so rudely and then Chrissy went on to say, I can talk to her Supervisor, Tammy that she didn't care but she was not available until the next day. I requested a callback first thing this morning at 8 am and have yet to hear back. I order every couple of months from here and am very disappointed. Looks like it may be time to find another florist! Oberer's needs to invest in some good customer service training for their employees and listen to more incoming phone calls because I can guarantee I am not the only one that was treated this way!

Experiencia negativa: Made the mistake of ordering from Oberer's. Never again. Furst the Florist was all booked up so I had no other option and I wish I would have looked up "How to Design a Corsage" on YouTube. First off, we placed an order and were quoted a price. We were told to pay in the store when we picked up the corsage. They noted that the shop had lost power earlier and they would confirm that they could handle the order. After confirmation, we thought all was well. Roughly an hour goes by and we receive a phone call from the "designer" stating that they won't start working on anything until they are paid and it's now $10 more than we were quoted. They argued with us and we just had to pay over the phone the increased price - because we had to get the corsage today. Well, I show up to pick up the corsage after 4 like we were instructed and lo and behold - the power outage had lost our order! It was printed and sitting on the designer table, but it was lost and therefore had not been completed. So I'm writing this review at 4:41pm while waiting for the corsage to be completed. No apologies, no discount for the trouble, no care at all. This place is trash.

While we did experience a power outage that caused issues, we never should have called for additional funds if we took the order incorrectly to begin with. Experiencia negativa: I ordered flowers to be delivered to my mother today on her birthday. She lives in Dayton Ohio, and I typed in the correct address and have the pictures to prove it. Today, instead of being delivered to my mother in Dayton, they were delivered to me in columbus. I wrote my mom’s address down and he said he’d make sure they expedited it and delivered them to her today. It’s almost 4 pm and she hasn’t gotten them. FOLLOW UP MONDAY MORNING: They did not deliver flowers to my mother yesterday, though I wrote down my mom’s name, address and phone number and gave it to the delivery man and he said he would get them to expedite delivery yesterday. They are refunding my money and still sending her the flowers, but she went all day on her birthday without a package, and this type of event is unacceptable. Oberers’s has been around for a while. They should have it down. Apparently this delivering to the person who ordered is common place. If I owned this Company and read this review, I’d make some long overdue changes. Get better qualified employees, pay them more and expect more. And definitely look into a new online ordering system. P.S. My neighbors asked me if it was my birthday or Anniversary, so they all know what happened. Word of mouth is a powerful thing and words matter.

Experiencia positiva: Got a great deal so I bought 2 arrangements but one had about half the amount of flowers as the other. Still cute but side by side the one is disappointing. Asked them to fill it in and they said they couldn't. It seems when they were made they would have tried to make them more closely match each other since they were sold to the same person.

Experiencia negativa: I ordered the planter in the first photo and imagine my surprise when I went to visit a month later and my daughter in law had received the second photo. Not only did she not have the planter I paid for to keep like all of my other kids, but there is an $9 price difference. Imagine how much they are cheating people out of by switching orders when people are ordering from out of state. That is theft. Will not be ordering from again. Watch what you pay for and check to see what your loved one receives!

Experiencia fantástica: As a birthday activity for my cousin, we took the Saturday morning arrangement class, with Dion & it was AMAZING. Dion was funny, helpful & stayed on task. The class was full & Dion, with a little assistance from his staff, handle it effortlessly, which is not an easy feat teaching 20+ women with scissors at 11 AM. Deidra was extremely helpful & friendly as well. For a little over $20, you get the class & the arrangement you create. You can’t beat that! We are definitely doing another class real soon.

Experiencia negativa: From delivery to a centerpiece then into the trash IN RECORD time…4 days!!! I bought a flower arrangement for Mother’s Day from Oberer. It was absolutely beautiful upon arrival, yet in less than 4 days the entire bouquet was wilted with flower petals dropping off stem way faster than any floral arrangement I have ever bought in the past. Flowers were watered and cared for so this is truly unacceptable as I’ve had flowers from other florist before and none of them ever died this fast. I would have been better off taking my $90 and treating my mom to a meal.

Experiencia negativa: Almost 1yr ago, my favorite Aunt passed away unexpectedly. They had a very short funeral, 1hr of visitation and a 30 min minister & song. The flower, arranangement, which was was a heart shaped standing purple rose heart. Arrived at 10:30am. Thr funeral was already over. I was devastated because she was in OH & I'm in Houston TX. They told me that a family member would have to go pick them up and then I would get half of my of money back! Her oldest daughter picked them up 2 days later & they were wilted. I've always loved Oberer's until this. Thankfully the bank got in touch with them and I got all my money back immediately.

In many cases the arrangements have surpassed my expectations. I have bought cheaper arrangements @ other florist ( like grocery's) but they never seem to last as long. The customer service is always good.. Though I mainly order online n again never a delay or problem. I only wish they were all over the country so I never had to worry when I ordered flowers out of there Ohio area

I was wanting a little something for one of the service reps who was going to another job so I went over to their showroom and was able to get a quick little succulent they had already made up. It was just small enough to put on a desk. She loved it! You should try them you won't be disappointed!

Experiencia positiva: I have been a customer of oberers for years and I have referred many people to their store because I have been so very happy at each and every order.....BUT.. I ordered my girlfriend flowers for her birthday and wanted them delivered on her bday,.Sat. the 17th of February. After.which I found out she would.not be.home that day. I called oberers and asked if they could change the.delivery for Friday the 16th of February at which the gal assured me they could. I called my friend and told her to stay home that day which she said she.would....the flowers never came!...when I called oberers on Saturday they.said that they tried to deliver and no one was home. My girlfriend has cameras on her porch and.no one delivered flowers!! When I called.them back the lady ( Kay, kim???) Was.very rude to me and I was SHOCKED.at that customer service! I have never had this ever take place when dealing with oberers....very disappointed. This has never.been oberers standard.

Experiencia negativa: Ordered flowers for same day delivery to a funeral home down the road from Oberers. I never recieved a phone call that they could not be delivered the same day as the viewing was 5 to 8pm. Luckily, there was a second viewing the next day at 9am proceeded by the funeral at 10am. I called to ask about order and Deb said it was requested to be there by 9am. However, I get confirmation they were delivered at 10:54am. I cal Oberers and I get an apology and refund of delivery fee. This is unacceptable as I have used them for everything. I don't recommend anymore. Thanks for the embarrassing situation!

Experiencia negativa: Wife ordered sympathy flowers for a coworker. Never heard anything from the coworker to find out they were never delivered. When she called the shop they said the order was lost in the system and the IT guy found it. Promised an upgrade and that they would be delivered the next day. A week later, still no flowers. Called and told it was lost yet again. Promised another upgrade. Wife explained it was well after the date for delivery and wanted a refund. After talking to several people they agreed to a refund. Just hoping that doesn’t get lost too! I would think twice before ordering here.

Experiencia negativa: Highly disappointed!!! If you’re looking for a specific bouquet style I would highly recommend going elsewhere. I went into the Troy street location and showed a couple pictures of the style bouquet I was looking for and the worker insisted they’d be able to accommodate, even emailed pictures to them. Followed up via email multiple times a few weeks before the wedding to confirm that they could accommodate and never heard back.On my wedding day they dropped off all the bouquets and not only was my bouquets not even close or attempted to match the pictures I sent they sent us boutonnières instead of our corsages that we had ordered. For reference I’ve attached pictures below , what I was given versus what I asked for.
Experiencia negativa: Horrible experience here! My daughter's evening was ruined, and a lot of the employees were rude. I will say that the manager Mr. Ingram was an absolutely bright spot. He was very apologetic about what happened. Mr. Ingram is a wonderful individual, and I greatly appreciate his efforts to try and make things right for us.

Experiencia negativa: I ordered an arrangement today for my son to be delivered to his job! The flowers were not delivered. I’ve called 3 times and they said it’s out for delivery. Flowers were going to his job and I made the call first thing this morning and it’s 4:40 pm still not delivered. Paid a delivery fee of $14.95. I won’t buy nothing else again from them! These were taken a day later, so I understand the orchids not being happy, but the overall size and presentation was very lacking for the price. I have pictured the website and what was received.

Experiencia negativa: This is the last time I order. I have always been pleased, but today, not so much! I paid $139 for a plant (with delivery) that did not have all the plants as shown on the site. I even spoke directly with an employee when I placed my order. When the plant arrived missing the other plants, I called to come to a compromise. I was told they could exchange the plant on Tuesday with what I actually wanted as it was not in stock! So why charge me when I’m on the phone, if it’s not in stock? I could have made another selection. I needed the plant today to welcome family members from California, not Tuesday! When I asked if a few fresh cut flowers could be delivered today to compensate, I was told no! I found another florist who understood my needs for a beautiful plant delivery today.

The edges are dry & they can't even open fully. My partner also ordered a 1lb. box of Esther Price candy & I rec'd just a 1/2 lb. box. Never again will we order from you! You've disappointed us for the last time!
