It's obvious by looking at the negative reviews, none are actual accounts and all say the same things (which, btw make no sense anyway). So sorry for Jacob Maarse, they do amazing arrangements. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I am just about to send flowers now and will continue to use them for friends and family in the Pasadena area. Just wish I could find a comparable florist where I'm living now!

Staff was helpful and knowledgeable. This was two days before New Years Day, so they were open and also busy with Rose Parade tasks. Jacob Maarse has been our go to florist for at least 30 years. They are the best. They also have awesome and beautiful items from clothing to jewelry to pillows to plates...very high-quality items worth browsing through. Going to Jacob Maarse is an experience you will not forget. The staff is professional, honest, and ready to serve. Mr. Maarse built a great business, and it has been going strong. Go!

I show her the pot and explain it need a small, but nice arrangement for a lady in a nursing home. I said I knew what flowers she likes etc..girl says I'm thinking what I can do?.after 15-20 minutes she seemed to have an idea. She gathered up the short flowers leftover from the other aagements, this wasn't going to make an elegant small arrangement so I left and I'm never coming back. This us to be the place to come, now it's the place to avoid!!

Experiencia fantástica: 5 star experience!!! Marina at Jacob Maarse was the best to work with on the large sunflower floral arrangement and decor for the backdrop of my proposal. I called several vendors before reaching her - some never got back to or didn't have the vision and patience to take a phone order and bring my vision to life. Marina was beyond creative and took the time to draw and send several different draft designs, and even gave suggestions on how the large floral background should be used in the proposal and at the specific hotel location we were getting engaged at. She was also able to deliver it on a few days notice. The best thing is she was a PARTNER with me through the whole custom design process, not just a vendor selling something off the shelf. She helped bring my vision to life. Because this was all over the phone, I didn't see the floral arrangement until I got to the proposal spot. And it FAR exceeded my expectations. My finance loved it so much!! Look forward to hiring her for our wedding.

Experiencia positiva: In keeping with the 2.8 rating as of this writing I am giving this company 3 stars. In reviewing this company's business practices I have noticed that bad reviews are not responded to by the company only good reviews, (I didn't go back and review all just most recent). A business should always respond to the customer especially on a public forum. It shows the rest of prospective customers that they do care about making things right or clearing up a misunderstanding. I also noticed that on this company's website they provide misleading advertising by only populating the best reviews from Google, 247 in total, to give themselves a 4.9 rating. Now someone mentioned the show "The Profit," and there was a response by Marina. To me it was unsatisfactory as it did not explain why the owner of this company even asked for Marcus Lemonis to step in and help out. Was there a deal? Yes. Did the owner back out? Yes. Did Marcus receive his money back, Yes. Were any of Mr. Lemonis' ideas used? The inventory system, new lay-out, phone number on the vans, etc.? I am sure that at least some were. As a business person myself I wouldn't have felt right doing that without giving Mr. Lemonis at least some return for his effort. I have done this numerous times in the past when my business benefited from another person or company even when they didn't ask for any compensation. It's just the right thing to do.

However, to this day I have never heard the manager apologise or say anything serious about what happened. To be honest, I'm not entirely convinced by what Marcus said to the manager, but that doesn't mean I condone the manager's behaviour. I felt angry while watching the show because I know how it feels when people disrespect you by not completing a deal. However, I won't give a 1 star rating because I don't want to lower the rating. I'm also from Tunisia, so I probably won't buy flowers from this shop. REAPLY: Since I can't reply to a comment on Google, I'll reply here. People learn from the show.. I disagree with you that it is not appropriate to comment here. It's not appropriate when people aren't being fair. Both Marcus and Hank have made mistakes. Hank took things personally and Marcus was a bit direct and rude, maybe for the good of the business or the show Idk.. Hank walked away from a deal, lots of people do that in real life and don't apologise. The manager Marina right? did well by showing a good attitude and putting personal things aside and focusing on improving the business. People learn by watching, so no matter what happened in the past, you're doing good for the people who watched the show. I just want to end this debate by saying that I'm glad the business is still going and people haven't lost their jobs, but I think you need to write a statement or something.
