I contacted the florist the same day to ask them to make it right and never received a response, which was disappointing.

And the price difference with big corporations is not that much… and well worth it. I was ordering from Montreal. Everything went smoothly as if I was in person and was delivered on time. Expérience négative: We’re ordered from Sweetpeas a few times now, and the arrangements are absolutely gorgeous! I’m also in support of their ethical business model and don’t mind paying more so employees can have living wage they deserve. Unfortunately, the arrangements (particularly the large elaborate arrangements in foam) do not last more than a couple days. They are often delivered to us with several flowers already wilted and consistently by day 2 or 3, 50% of the flowers have wilted. I suspect this is due to stuffing so many stems into the foam to create that dramatic and stunning effect. This could very well be a deliberate trade off (a gorgeous arrangement for a single event only) but for personal use, I prefer my flowers last at least a week. And btw, I follow their care instructions very closely. If you need a stunning arrangement for an event-make sure to buy the day of and enjoy!! For longer-term enjoyment, probably shop elsewhere.

Expérience fantastique: I ordered a bouquet in the bleary eyed morning and utterly messed up the delivery address. I called and tried to correct it but still ended up giving an incorrect address. The delivery people were obviously unable to complete it so Sara, owner extraordinaire, called me. After telling her my whole story she took it upon herself to get into the right apartment (she was familiar with the building, luckily) and hand delivered the bouquet to my friend that had just been through an ordeal and it brightened her right up and left me mightily grateful for the level of service in lieu of my bumbling. Above & beyond! Oh and the arrangement was spectacular!

I placed my order on line after business hours but had to send an email to make a change. They responded to me first thing in the morning and were very accommodating to the change I needed to make. Their online ordering system is flawless and easy to use, there is a way to track delivery progress and I always get amazing comments back from the people I send flowers to. A bonus is that they are a LIVING wage business, which means they pay their workers way more than minimum wage, enough for them to afford living in the city. That makes me feel extra good about ordering from them.

I called my favourite florist in Montreal, and they recommended Sweetpea. I browsed through their website, and discovered their bouquet in an antique teacup. Love! I asked them to design their own bouquet, keeping in mind that my friend is an artist. The result was so beautiful, it moved my friend to tears when she received it. A glorious blend of fall colours (her birthday is in October), all set in the most delicate teacup - what an original idea! My friend said she wants to paint every one of the flowers. The delivery itself was on time and easy, and the overall cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend this florist and will definitely order from them again!

Expérience négative: I was sent an arrangement from Sweetpea's and while it was pretty, after a two days the flowers had brown edges and were already drooping (despite me keeping the water topped right up). I buy a lot of arrangements and have never had this happen so quickly. I wrote to the owner and she offered to send a few replacement roses or a 10% discount. I responded saying that it wasn't just the roses and that the whole bouquet was now really drooping and asked what she could do and she never responded. I was having friends over and ended up throwing the bouquet out after 5 days as it looked so bad. All it all it was a disappointing experience.

I have to say I am very disappointed with the bouquet that was delivered. When I received the picture I thought they must have gotten the wrong order. As pretty as the flowers are, it looks very simple and I can’t believe how small the bouquet is. I would never consider these a “signature” version of a bouquet!

Expérience négative: I received a stunningly beautiful bouquet of Flowers late . Friends thought how incredible they were. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. As designed, with the leaf surrounding the vase, it was impossible to know that a floral foam block was used or to determine water level. Wednesday night i noticed the peony was losing its leaves. This morning many of the flowers are deteriorating. I have no doubt they required water sooner even though it was only two and a half days from delivery. However the instructions say to water every few days. I had checked them and didn't see a problem They started deteriorating in two days. The shop said it was my fault and too bad. Not what i call good service. There instructions were not accurate. The case probably lost water in transport and should have been watered immediately bit the instructions dis not so state and a few days was too late.

But Sweetpea’s isn't just "any" florist and they came through to deliver my order to a very delighted daughter, even though I made a mistake on the online payment form. They did a beautiful job with the arrangement and I couldn't be happier. I even got an automated e-mail once the flowers had been dropped off, which I thought was a nice touch. Thank you to Sweetpea's for helping brighten my friend's day during a challenging time and creating a gorgeous arrangement for her.

Expérience fantastique: Sweetpeas is the only florist in the GTA I will ever order from. I always select their “artist’s choice” and they never disappoint. Their customer service is extraordinary, and they are an absolute pleasure to deal with. My latest order was a beautiful small teacup arrangement for my wife (just because) and they are stunning! If you are looking for a wonderful arrangement and are shopping florists I cannot recommend Sweetpeas and their lovely team highly enough!

Expérience positive: Although the selection of flowers and the arrangement was well done, the cost of the small arrangement (shown on the right with cat for scale) is insulting - $260 for an arrangement that should be less than half that price. From the reviews I expected much better and won't be doing business with Sweetpea's again - there are so many better florists in the city for a fraction of the price.

Expérience fantastique: I ordered a 6-month (manual, meaning pay per month rather than all upfront) 'seasonal' flower subscription - $79. The experience of ordering, and each time I called to inquire about the process or confirm details, I spoke with an experienced employee - thank you Rachel and Jenn. Sweetpea's is in the heart of Toronto. This is a non-retail walk-up florist business backed by awards and what feels like a very special place, if I were to have walked thru their front door. The subscription is for our daughter with the first installment arriving on her birthday. She received the bouquet mid-afternoon, delivered to her building's concierge desk. She said they were beautifully arranged, and were made with fresh, healthy blooms. They are a small, compact arrangement that comes with a simple glass vase. A taller vase or round ball case would be complimentary to the arrangement size. She is excited to receive the balance of the subscription each month - other options to receive were weekly or bi-weekly, I believe. The recommendation for Sweetpea's is an absolute A+. The format for which they sell works exceptionally well and differentiates them from the 'others'.

Expérience fantastique: Thank-you Sweetpeas...the arrangement I ordered for my daughter on the opening night of her play was just stunning. You really understood the theme I was going for with the dramatic, rich colors. I love the beautiful teacup base as well, so original and a wonderful keepsake. I highly recommend this flower store...and the service was lovely as well! Merry Christmas...

Expérience négative: For the price an underwhelming version of what was photographed. Online pic showcased a broader assortment of colour and type of flower. Through email I asked for a special request which wasn’t fulfilled which one may expect from a local florist.

Expérience fantastique: Sweetpea’s not only did our beautiful wedding flowers, but was also our go to flower shop while they were in roncy. During our wedding they really worked with us and our budget to create something we’d love. As a neighbourhood florist, they not only created beautiful pieces, but their shop as a whole felt like visiting a fun and friendly neighbour (especially the kitties!). Highly recommend them for all your floral needs
