Fantastic experience: Such an incredible business, very caring staff. I always not knowing what kind of assortment I want and they always make the bouquets perfect by really taking the time with questions and everything. Highly recommend it and definitely will be a lifetime customer when in calgary!

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience! Called in today and although they did not have anything specific with Sweet 16, they recommended this glass heart ornament that was a huge hit and a perfect add on to the beautiful bouquet. Was a fast and easy way for us to send a special gift last minute!

Negative experience: I gave one clear instruction: deliver after 10:00 AM because the recipient would not be there earlier. They delivered before 10:00 AM anyway. When I contacted the florist, I was told they are “not in control of the delivery.” That response is unacceptable. If you charge customers for a service, you are responsible for ensuring that service is carried out properly — including honoring specific delivery instructions. When I asked for some form of accountability or compensation for the mistake, I was told no. This wasn’t a complicated request. It was ignored. Then responsibility was avoided. If timing matters for your order, understand that specific delivery requests may not be honored — and you may be left with no resolution if something goes wrong.

Fantastic experience: So, I, who lives in Grande Prairie, AB, decided on Deer Valley Florist to create and deliver a bouquet to my daughter's dental office on and for her 28th birthday. I called them directly to custom create the arrangement I had in mind. Zoe, who guided my order over the phone, was super nice, knew her craft, and made me relaxed throughout the process. Then, on the day of delivery, there arose a rare technical, logistical, computer-related glitch that (could've happened to any business) threatened to derail the perfect plan I had meticulously crafted. The specific details of the glitch are irrelevant to the story. What is so noteworthy is the care, speed, responsive grace, and decisive empathy with which they made things right. Call it fate, maybe, but my plan worked out better than expected, and my daughter was over-the-moon happy with her birthday bouquet, surrounded by envious co-workers. Negative experience: We used Deer Valley Florist for our wedding last month and unfortunately ended up having issues with communication from staff and our final product. This review is because we have still not heard back from them in regards to our arch piece. When we met with them for the quote we spent tons of time finalizing all our details. We wanted to use their services for all of the flowers for our wedding but found their prices to be very high so we decided to go with just the boutonnieres for the wedding party, arch piece, brides bouquet, and entrance arrangements. The bouquet and entrance arrangements were beautiful, although quite expensive. Our major issues were with the Boutonnieres which we went with their recommendations of having them attach magnetically. As myself and my groomsmen were getting ready to walk the isle and put them on we found they had made them incorrectly and we couldnt actually get the magnetic attachment out, unless we completely took them apart, or broke the magnets off. We contacted them quickly and they said they could come down and fix it for us, but unfortunately there was no time. This should have been confirmed as being right before they approved for pick up. They did refund my money for their mistake but ultimately we were left without being able to have flowers on our suits for my wedding... I wish I had just gone with cheap fake amazon ones because at least I could have used something. As for the Arch we had specifically asked and paid for a 5 foot arch piece, they had supplied us with a 3 foot arch piece. We used it anyways but our arch looked bare. We inquired about how this mistake could have happened and they said it couldn't have. We brought their arch piece back down to the store after the wedding and they confirmed yes this is smaller then what we quoted you and what you paid for, and that they would contact us with a solution. It has now been weeks and we have still not heard back from them. Very disappointed to say the least. If you are like us and expect certain details of your wedding to be absolutely perfect, such as having a professional florist create and supply your arrangements, then maybe reconsider using this company.

I used Deer Valley Florist for my recent wedding and everything turned out amazing! The staff really took the time to understand the vision and make helpful suggestions about types of flowers and greenery that would work well. I ordered greenery for long tables, as well as bridal and bridesmaids bouquets. They really went above and beyond to help bring the vision to life. They are also great for everyday flowers! I have ordered arrangements from here as gifts and they have always been really well received. They have a great assortment of small non-flower related gifts that you can buy in-store, a nice way to round out a gift of flowers. Definitely my go-to florist, and a bonus that they are all just the kindest people!

Fantastic experience: The welcome sign sets the mood "Come in. We're awesome!" which the staff and interior deliver with ease, imo. Immediately greeted with a big hello. Many quality small gift items to add to a gift basket or in addition to flowers. Flowers are in containers in a refrigerated section along the right. Lots of space for plenty of stick. Many events in the community had depleted their stock this past week and this weekend. Potted plant section, fresh cut flower section to pick your own bouquet, prepackaged bouquets, pretty mugs, journals, many sparkly items, small section of bee products, grow your own flower starter kits, cards. Too many items to mention them all. I found pricing reasonable for this being a Calgary store, which I greatly appreciated. The staff were amazing and even asking me if I was ok when I was showing signs of distress. Explaining I was having a panic attack I was met with compassion and care, from a customer, and the staff. It's a small, locally owned store. I will be back (when I return after the summer).

Fantastic experience: Flowers were for a friend for Valentines. I asked to have roses as main theme, but no red or pink, and embellish to my price point. They were fresh and beautiful! My friend said they were still beautiful after a week, which for roses is really good! Easy to work with, and will use again for sure. Also like that this is a true local florist! Fantastic experience: Came to this beautiful location today to purchase a Sympathy/ funeral arrangement for the owner of where I work who lost her sister suddenly yesterday. We came in with a vision and chose “some” flowers and spoke with Bethany ( I hope I have that rite), and she gave her opinions and selections, and said come back in 45 min. The result was absolutely beyond our expectation! The environment is so cute and quaint, and the staff went above and beyond in customer service. I don’t know how to add photos sadly ‍♀️‍♀️, but trust me when I say from start to finish, a wonderful experience, and the most beautiful arrangement made in less than 45 min! ❤️❤️❤️

Deer Valley Florists are the best you will find in Calgary. The customer service is prompt, polite, accurate and helpful. The arrangements are perfect, fresh, and exactly what I expected, as well as being delivered on time. I would not hesitate to recommend DVF as they are the only florist in Calgary I use!!

I ordered flowers over the internet at approx.: 1.00pm Calgary time on Wednesday April 10th to be delivered to my daughter's home fairly close by to the shop. I even rang the shop just to check would the delivery driver ring the door bell or leave them on the door step. The flowers were delivered by 3.00pm Calgary time and were absolutely beautifully arranged in a vase. My daughter was home and was so delighted she sent a photo of them to me. Fantastic experience: I would just like to Thank Kim and her team for *always* going above & beyond with their floral arrangements for every occasion! Recently, her design team did an outstanding job in personalizing the Earth Jewel's Wreath on the occasion of my uncle's funeral. The entire family was pleased with the empathy and simplicity of the strong, yet beautiful arrangement which stood out and stood next to the casket as a very personal tribute, never to be forgotten.

Fantastic experience: I am in the USA and I ordered flowers from Deer Valley in for my friend in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The ordering process was very easy, and in my receipt they specified how many of each type of flower including the color, and How many and what type of greens would be included in the arrangement. I found that to be very helpful in visualizing how the arrangement would look like when my friend receives it. My friend sent me a picture of the arrangement when she received it and it was exactly as mentioned in my receipt. The arrangement was beautiful. I would definitely order from Deer Valley again. The attached picture was another photo my friend sent to me (again) several days after she received the flowers - still looks great. Thank you.

Positive experience: Lovely flowers, would order through them again. Just a wee bit disappointed my name was on the delivery card, I purposely left it blank on the online order and confirmed over the phone I wished to be unknown because it was a surprise. The person told me that was fine, but if the receivers called they’d have to tell them who sent the flowers—totally understandable—yet my name still found its way onto the card :/ Oh well, not the end of the world! Fantastic experience: Deer Valley Florists deserves everyone of the 5 star rating they have. They had a great selection given it's early February, provided with excellent service picking out arrangements for flowers I placed on my church altar in memory of my mom, made some changes that I requested with no question, and were very accommodating when I had to change the pick up time for my flowers from late afternoon to earlier in the morning.
