Fantastic experience: I ordered a small bridal bouquet for myself for our courthouse wedding and they completely exceeded my expectations. I had asked for fall colours, offered some types of flowers that I liked, but really gave them full control for seasonal blooms. What I received was absolutely breathtaking. They connected with me days prior to the wedding to show a sample of what I'd be getting to check in, and that was so appreciated. Having them complete this was truly such a good decision and I cannot recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: We have ordered flowers from the UK on a number of occasions and we have always had outstanding service and the recipient has always been most complimentary about the flowers. This year the high standards were surpassed when the delivery person sang happy birthday to my aunt, she was elated!!! Thank you and very well done Sweet Violets.

Negative experience: Not worth it. Yes, it’s a cute little place, but it’s not worth the money. The staff are unprofessional, and the lady who made my bouquet didn’t seem to know how to properly select or wrap flowers. I paid $80 for a small, poorly made bouquet that looked terrible, leaving me feeling ripped off and frustrated. I decided to visit based on positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. On top of that, the staff weren’t particularly friendly. There are better options in town for future purchases—I won’t be returning or recommending this place.

They were super understanding of our vision, ensured we were happy with the flowers and greenery used and were very responsive when some last-minute boutonnieres needed to be added. They even helped to pack the arrangements into an already-packed car, to make sure nothing was damaged and arrived just as stunning at their final destination. Not only were all the aesthetic floral choices clearly depicted with photos on the website, but the delivery of the flowers on the following day was prompt. Delivery notification was followed up with an email. As well, as the order was being prepared, I was impressed to receive a personal call to discuss the feasibility of one of the special requests I had made. And - most importantly - the bouquet I had ordered was fresh and beautiful!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely blown away. I am based in Ireland and I ordered some flowers online for my girlfriend's birthday for delivery the next day. I requested that the bouquet be delivered before 11am, which I knew outside of their delivery policy, but they went above and beyond and had the bouquet arrive at 10am! Accompanied with the bouquet was a lovely complementary handwritten note. The bouquet itself is absolutely gorgeous and is such a testament to the people working at Sweet Violets. I have ordered flowers in person at Sweet Violets before too, and I am always just struck at how beautiful the arrangement is. It really makes you appreciate how much of an art the arrangement of flowers really is, and the people at Sweet Violets are clearly experts at it. Being in a long distance relationship, it really meant so much to be able to do an online order of flowers for a special occasion like this and have it just go perfectly. 5 stars...10 if I could.

Positive experience: I've purchased flowers here on several occasions and received several arrangements. I've always been happy with the quality of the flowers and they make beautiful arrangements. With that being said, my last order was made incorrectly, but was packaged in a way that I didn't know until it was given to the recipient. It was supposed to be a wrist corsage, but it was made as a pin-on and had no ribbons included. I have had mixed customer service experiences. There are some helpful, friendly faces in the shop but one woman has been consistently "sour" rather than sweet when I've been in to place and pick up orders.

Fantastic experience: I ordered a Valentine's day bouquet for delivery at my wife's workplace. I asked what the staff would recommend instead of the cliché dozen red roses, and they promised something beautiful and creative (with some roses included, to keep with the theme of the day). Unfortunately my wife fell ill, so the delivery location needed to change from workplace to home. However, I was too sluggish to notify the SV staff about the change before the shop closed the day before; and by the time the shop opened the day of, they were already out making deliveries. Luckily (well, I chalk it up not to luck but to the diligence and professionalism of the staff) my wife got a call and was graciously promised delivery in the afternoon. The flowers arrived not in the afternoon, but mid-morning. They were beautiful! The staff really know how to take a theme and run with it. The colours were lovely but subtle, the wrapping was slick and elegant, and the overall effect somehow managed to combine the message of love with (although the arranger couldn't know it) wishes for a speedy recovery. Well done Sweet Violets! You guys are fantastic! Thank you for making my wife (and me) very happy on a very special day.

They have lots of potted plants as well as a lovely selection of pots and plants too. And if you're looking for unique greeting cards this is the spot. They also have flower subscriptions.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and put together a beautiful bouquet for me in less than 10 minutes, at a very reasonable price. All flowers were fresh from the market. Kelli was a great communicator and is very passionate about flowers and that clearly translated on our wedding day. Her expertise and excitement led to us have absolutely perfect bridal bouquets and stunning table arrangements! She and the team really outdid themselves! They even went so far as to put each table arrangements into a package and video tappped how the arrangements should look for our wedding planner and her team! Fantastic experience: First time ordering/buying flowers that isn't from the grocery store. I Spent $80+tax, so about $100 on a bouquet of mixed roses and flowers. Asked for light pinks for a graduation ceremony and the staff recommended light/pale colours. It came out absolutely amazing. I was very surprised and stunned at the quality of the selection of flower and bundling. Staff were very busy inside, but were very friendly and helpful. I'd 1000% recommend this flower shop to anyone. Will likely come back for future events.

Fantastic experience: The girls at Sweet Violets were AMAZING. My previous florist fell through two weeks before my wedding and it left me scrambling to find a new florist. They were so kind and reassuring, and sent me pictures and videos of my (gorgeous) bouquets prior to delivering them. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful blooms all the time. These guys made my wife’s floral arrangement for our small wedding, it was everything she wanted. The only area for improvement I would say is holidays. I have ordered for Valentine’s or Mother’s Day often and I can almost guarantee my order will get lost, it’s happened a few times. Off peak season they are bang on all the time.

Fantastic experience: Sweet Violets is one of the most special shops that I know. I have gone to them for many important occasions and they have always pulled through! I don’t live in the city so often I call them to have arrangements delivered and I never have to doubt the striking quality of the arrangement being delivered. If there was one reason to move to Guelph Sweet Violets would definitely be one.

Negative experience: I am not from Guelph so I googled a place to use. Told them that my budget was $100 and they put together a bouquet with 6 flowers and 80% greenery. Absolute joke. Do not use this place if your life depends on it. What a complete and total rip off. Never been so disappointed in my life with an arrangement I was sending for someone. Shame on them!

Fantastic experience: A wonderful florist! For my COVID-19 wedding last week, Sweet Violets created the bride's bouquet and arrangements for the table. I was delighted with the results, especially the peachy colour. I was anxious to have my wedding be beautiful, even if it was very small and had to come together quickly, and Sweet Violets helped me do that. Kelli also helped me out with a last-minute request for extra blooms for the photographer's detail shots and for our cake, as well flowers for my hair, all of which were beautiful, well-packaged and easy to use. Fantastic experience: I can always count on Sweet Violets to put together beautiful arrangements. Their flower and plant selections are different and beautiful and the shop is cozy and cute! I have purchased stunning arrangements that last weeks and the best eucalyptus bunches to fill my home! They are also reasonably priced for the value. I live outside of Guelph and make the drive to get my flowers from them :)

Fantastic experience: For my mother-in-law's funeral I ordered the arrangements on behalf of the children and grandchildren. They were absolutely stunning. My picture of the grandchild one doesn't quite do it justice, but the arrangement is gorgeous, and has six large yellow orchids representing each of the six grandchildren. We are very happy with the service we received from Sweet Violets.

Fantastic experience: Since my first experience a number of years ago - I've never gone anywhere else.. Why? Simple, they've always exceeded my expectations. It's all in the details - from the paper wrapped/twine tied arrangements... to the quality of the flowers that seem to last for weeks. The team at Sweet Violets has always provided friendly & exceptional service - and when you're a colourblind guy like myself - it's appreciated lol... PS. Check out the rose pedal hookup they put together in a major pinch for my wedding - added a memorable smile to my wife's face - and that certain je ne sais quoi to end the evening.

I am very scent-sensitive and they provided me with a bouquet that was not only beautiful but also scent-free! Negative experience: Been a customer for years. Was always pleased with the results and kept coming back. Recently, I ordered 2 bouquets that were rather expensive and was expecting their usual quality. However, not only was it overpriced beyond belief, the bouquet fell apart as soon as I gifted it. It looked incredibly cheap and ugly and I was very disappointed. Needless to say, after years of business, I will never be returning here.
