Fantastic experience: Really lovely and helpful staff, out of both florists on the highstreet I had a much more personal experience here. Flowers ordered in specially for me as they are my favourite, the first wholesaler was a little bit more expensive so they called me up and advised I should maybe hold off till after Mother’s Day, a call a few hours later saying they found me a better priced wholesaler. Very warm and friendly staff I couldn’t of faulted them. I picked up my flowers this morning and they are stunningThankyou so much xx

As well as the flowers being very pretty they sell lots of quirky and cute little gifts and trinkets; I recently bought a very heavy stone frog for the garden I knew my mum would love and the girl working was kind enough to take it to the car for me as my puny arms weren't up to it! Personally delivered to my sister for her birthday, and even offered to bring them in for her (she uses crutches, so didn't have her hands available to hold them). Absolutely recommended!

Negative experience: Ordered a blue display and it is white with 4 TINY blue flowers. Looks insipid. Just say you haven’t got much blue and use your initiative and use something else! Not recommended.

Negative experience: No correspondence, asked for a picture before they left the store, asked if they had been delivered, no reply on both occasions. When you are spending $120 on flowers from overseas, you expect better service.

Negative experience: Picked up flowers and balloon today. Order pink, yellow and white in a basket. Received flowers in a brown box with tatty pink ribbon and dead flower in the front and very little coloured. Immediately complained and lady said the peony wasn't dead just not opened yet and offered to put them in a basket which was the size of a dessert dish. Replaced flower with another which also did not look much better. AVOID

Fantastic experience: Went not too long ago just have a look at some flowers as recently moved into a new house and wanted something to spruce up the house, I was blown away by how friendly all the staff were and how beautiful the flowers were , they also have some lovely garden stuff and just some beautiful trinkets that I ended up purchasing for my boyfriends mum which she adored. I will definitely be sending my boyfriend there next time he’s in the dog house to get me some lovely flowers !

Negative experience: I ordered on 13th March for flowers to be delivered for mother's day weekend. I received a confirmation email but the flowers didn't arrive. I then realised the cost of the flowers had been refunded to my bank account. I received no call or email to say there was a problem with the order so I obviously thought all was fine. As there was no contact I had no time to order a replacement through another company so my mother-in-law had no gift on mother's day. I have sent two emails since to ask why the order wasn't fulfilled but have had no reply. This is terrible customer service and I will never use this company again.

Negative experience: Terrible experience here. Picked up Mother’s Day flowers and purchased the grand size could have found better looking quality flowers if I’d have picked weeds out of my local park meanwhile being charged extortionate prices. The Lisa woman that owns the shop is what I can only describe as a Horrible dragon who intimidates her own staff that seem to work hard… honestly never met such a horrible woman in every sense. Feel sorry for the staff

Negative experience: Flowers delivered 5.20pm. Shop told us this morning delivery until 6pm. WRONG website says 5pm. No customer service. Offered more flowers, why when I already have 1 doz red roses. Their excuse they were busy. GET MORE DELIVERY DRIVERS. IF YOU CAN'T COPE. Didn't offer delivery charge refund either. Ps. If you think the flowers make up for your rude behaviour they don't

Negative experience: I decided to buy my wife and mum some flowers for Easter. I actually followed a woman into the shop so there were two of us in the small shop. I could hear a man talking to someone out the back. The lady and I started looking at the flowers but no one came out. She walked out but I stayed a moment but still no one coming out....I may be quiet but not that quiet. I walked out and went to Sainsburys for the flowers, shame when you want to support local businesses.

Fantastic experience: I attended a funeral on Friday 25th March that the ladies at The Village Florist created a display for. I was totally overwhelmed, as were others who attended. The display was of an allotment, and was so detailed and personalised, that we were quite choked. I have used The Village Florist on many occasions and if sending flowers in Reading, I wouldn't use anyone else. They are lovely people, kind, genuinely caring, thoughtful and nothing is too much trouble. Their bouquets are stunning and every recipient is delighted and comment as to how lasting they are. Wonderful service from very special people.

The button holes were great, just could have done with 2 pins instead of one to make it easier to attach but nothing major. Lisa has been very helpful and responsive along the way. Fantastic experience: Placed my order for 12 x Roses to arrive on Valentines. The flowers arrived Sunday morning on time (which was good), but there were only 8 roses in the box. Edit: Called the owner who was lovely about it - they went above and beyond to put things right with no fuss.

Negative experience: I ordered the valentines florists bunch as a gift on Valentine’s Day. The flowers were shoved behind the bin when delivered very late in the afternoon which caused some of the stems to break. I have called and emailed to which neither have had a reply. I appreciate it was one of the busier days but a simple knock on the door and not throwing a paying customers gift behind a bin would’ve been nice! I wanted to support a local business instead of using a National company, wish I hadn’t have bothered. Awful customer service, I will NEVER be using this company again.

While looking around for a an inexpensive florist but still good quality we came across The village florist and they were a blessing. Lisa was ever so understanding of the budget situation and helped me choose the best flowers (as I’m useless). My wedding looked absolutely beautiful and truly made my special day amazing. I honestly will be using these for any upcoming events and the new husband will be definitely buying my anniversary flowers from there. Fantastic experience: I ordered some flowers for my husband who was in the Sue Ryder hospice for our 21st anniversary. The person who took the order offered a very personal and friendly service. The flowers were just what I requested, bright, colourful and fragrant and two weeks later they are still going strong.

Negative experience: I am disappointed with my recent experience from here. So my mum and sister had arranged for my birthday to have some flowers to be delivered to my place of work as a surprise they had asked if they could be delivered between certain times as I finish work early today which wasn't a problem they were told. But they wasnt delievered before I had finished so we go into the florist to be told they are still on the van now and will be dropped off soon which is a bit pointless now seeing as I know all about it and they are not going to be a suprise any more. The lady in store asked if I wanted them still I said well no there isn't much point now I just want a refund. All I got as a reply was ok then sorry about that. Safe to say that they wasnt really bothered and it will be the first and last time going there.
