Fantastic experience: I order flowers from Pat's often and the flowers are always gorgeous and smell so good but I ordered some on 3/2/2026 for a friend's birthday and they did not meet my expectations so I let them know I was disappointed. Not only did the florist call me but sent a second arrangement the very next day that were truly stunning and met all of my expectations. They are family owned and operated and are amazing. Fantastic experience: I wanted to send flowers to my daughter for her 20th birthday. She’s attending VCU and I live in Virginia Beach. I was a little skeptical in ordering from anyone because of the distance and not being familiar with the area. I didn’t want to use the one 800 flowers I wanted of the arrangement to be sent to her already arrangedI went online and decided to use Pat’s. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had. My daughter was so ecstatic and the flowers were beautifully arranged. I will say I will use this florist again and I recommended very highly to anyone.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I have to post such a low rating. However, I did not get what I asked for on such an important day. We ordered a blue and white casket spray for my grandfather’s funeral. Was assured that I would be pleased with the arrangement. Upon the arrival of said arrangement- there was no blue in the spray. This is really unprofessional and disheartening in addition to all we are going through as a family.

Positive experience: Placed an order for a premium arrangement, to be delivered to my daughter. I was so disappointed when she sent me photos of the arrangement that was sent. No where near close to the photo on their website. Arrangement was missing flowers, that were listed, even for the “standard” arrangement. Item stated all light pink, with the exception of the button mums. I understand it was close to Vday, but come on. I worked with a florist for 10 years, and this arrangement wouldn’t have left the shop, looking like it did. They didn’t even bother to substitute. First photo is what I ordered, second is what was delivered. I did receive a $21 refund.

The arrangement I chose was for my daughter’s birthday and I made my selection based on a picture from the website. When my daughter showed me the arrangement, it wasn’t quite like the picture. The flowers were fresh but I was hoping for an arrangement as shown on the website. I am aware that availability is a factor. It would have been helpful if I was informed that there would be some changes in the flowers used to make my choice of arrangement.

Positive experience: Flowers were beautiful and as advertised. Unfortunately they were delivered a day late with no communication. I called a couple times, couldn’t get through to anyone, and left a message which was never returned. On the bright side, my wife’s birthday celebration lasted an extra day with the flowers being late.

Fantastic experience: I ordered a Christmas arrangement for my mom in an assisted living facility. I did this online, but called the next day as I didn't include the accompanying message. They were very polite and receptive and took the more I over the phone. The arrangement itself was stunning! My brother sent a photo of my mom with the flowers. I was so pleased, and I loved the smile on Mom's face.

As I entered, it smelled of freshly cut flowers and the staff was warm and welcoming. The bouquet itself was absolutely stunning and its recipient was delighted. Negative experience: The arrangements that were delivered looked nothing like the exemplar photo posted on their website. Apparently they think that common fern leaves are a good substitute for variegated holly in a bouquet misnamed Holiday Splendor. I spent $100 bucks for flowers that were not as nice as the arrangements from the grocery store available at less than half the price.

Negative experience: Left an orchid on front porch at noon. When I got home from work at 5:30, it was 34 degrees. Orchid sitting out in that weather for 5 hours. My phone number was clearly on the delivery ticket - never bothered to spend 2 minutes to let me know it was delivered. When I called to complain, all I got was ‘I’m sorry but if you’re not home we have to leave it or bring it back to the store - we should have called. I’m sorry we didn’t”. No offer to replace the orchid, refund or anything. Another florist delivered cut flowers the day before and called to ask if it was ok to leave on the porch and I asked my neighbor to bring those flowers into the house.

Fantastic experience: Pat’s Florist has been my “go to” florist in Richmond for decades. They consistently produce beautiful arrangements and when I need to contact the florist, the customer service is friendly. I highly recommend Pat’s.

Negative experience: I couldn't read the words on the banner. I asked for a ribbon. They put 3 ribbons on the flower. That was unacceptable. If the wording was too long, she should have contacted me and I would have made adjustments to my wording. It was hard to read the words on the ribbon.

Fantastic experience: I can’t thank the people at Pat’s Florist enough. They got the Peace Lily Plant to the church prior to the start of the funeral service. At first I didn’t see it but when I did, all I could say was, “WOW”! It was arranged so beautifully with a perfect white bow around it. I arrived in Richmond from out of town and called Pat’s the day before the service. They couldn’t deliver the plant to the Funeral Home that evening but promised to have it at the Church in time and they did. Thank you so much for such excellent customer care and service!!

We weren’t really familiar with the inner workings of purchasing handmade bouquets and flowers, but everyone there was very helpful and transparent with pricing. Fantastic experience: Ever since I was a college kid, running around the Fan I remember Pat’s, and while I rarely order flowers I call on Pats when I do. The digital system isn’t nearly as personal as visiting their store but it was easy when I needed flowers to a funeral for a dear friend.
