The recipients have also been delighted with the design uniqueness, and freshness of an array of various blooms. All of the employee's customer service is exceptional, always having my ideas and interests at heart, while offering their extremely helpful expert advice. Fantastic experience: I showed up to this place looking a little unhinged in my pajamas this morning and still received the best customer service I’ve ever received anywhere. The store attendant was absolutely delightful and took extra care to ensure the gifts I purchased looked beautiful, even carefully scraping off a stubborn price sticker from a box of chocolates. They shared tips on how to best prepare and care for the flowers I bought. If you are considering buying from this store, I absolutely recommend doing so!

Fantastic experience: A. Johnson & Sons Florist provided truly exceptional service today. They delivered chocolates and a beautiful floral arrangement from Saint Paul all the way to Savage, MN—and even texted me a photo of the arrangement beforehand. The delivery brought immediate comfort to my friend and her mom during a very difficult day, and it meant so much to them. They put their beloved cat down earlier in the day. Thoughtful, compassionate, and above-and-beyond service. I will absolutely use them again and highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Addie was super awesome when I stopped in today. I've walked past this place over a dozen times while visiting the Orthodontist down the block. I had a few minutes to kill today before my appointment, and thought I'd get something nice for a friend. Addie pointed me to the roses, which were on sale for only $19.99 for a dozen! I got the most beautiful peach roses, and can't wait to gift them tomorrow. Thanks, Addie!

Fantastic experience: I order flowers for life events at the office where I work. I enjoy selecting arrangements which I hope are appropriate for the intended recipient but I never get to see them. This time I received a photo of the arrangement - what a treat! I loved seeing what was going to be delivered.

Fantastic experience: The creative floral designers did a terrific job of creating small table centerpieces for an celebration of life event to honor my husband. Unique centerpieces were invented by using supplied coffee mugs and colorful knick-knacks such as fishing lures, golf tees, hockey spikes, and business cards which were inserted into a variety of greens. My thanks go to the staff at Johnson Florist for the personal service.

Fantastic experience: Very nice service, vases are $4, very COLD walk in flower cooler which is nice on a hot day. Have selected my own flowers for a large bouquet here a few times and each stem was very high quality. The roses especially had tight center that opened over time so they lasted a long time and the smell was heavenly. Pretty friendly and patient counter staff.

Fantastic experience: My partner stopped in on the fly yesterday before my students’ after school dance performance. He inquired about purchasing an individual rose for each of my 14 dancers (and one for me ). The woman helping him sprang into action, offering him the current deal on a dozen roses. Then she went into the back and found three stragglers with two different color options to complete the dozen plus three. THEN she hand trimmed each rose and gave them each a solo water vessel and wrapped them up beautifully with a bow. My class was thrilled!! Some of them have never received a flower before and couldn’t believe the rose wasn’t fake. My heart is melting, both for the thoughtfulness of my love, and the care and attention that was given to this special last minute walk-in request.

Positive experience: I am beyond frustrated and disappointed in this florist. We have used them for years and it is unlikely we'll use them again. We picked up two orders today and neither were worth our time or money. A basic request for a memorial white rose with winter greens for a standing vase came as a white rose with brown petals already and heavy cypress branches that would never stand as they were so curved/made for an outside planter, not vase. Then the arrangement ordered from out of state had stems cut so short they fell out, could not be pushed down into where the water would fill, and the white flowers were all browning. Kathy also told us when we called and were frustrated with the winter greens paid for ($14.95 for 1 rose and 2 small, unusable cypress branches) that we could go in our back yard or alley and pick greenery we liked instead. Sure Kathy, I'd love to grab garbage out of my city alley... The manager out front and front staff were great and helpful and the only reason we're giving the stars we are-she saw the arrangements and said they should have never even gone out the door and made new ones. Thank you so much. To lose an afternoon before a holiday to such simple requests is not worth the cost of money or time. This store is perhaps not the standard anymore for product or service.

I grew up in Saint Paul. So thank you for what you consistently do right and you do right wonderfully.

Positive experience: This store showed incompetence at its highest level. While trying to get an arrangement for a special occasion they misled and lied to me on multiple occasions which culminated with me showing up at the store and them not having what i asked for. The communication was terrible as i had to call them 4 times throughout the week to confirm if they could order the flowers i wanted and was led to believe this was fine and easy for them and did not learn otherwise until i showed up at the store. This is not a luxury flower shop and they will waste your time and money. Edit to 3 stars: Store manager apologized and refunded my replacement order to make things right. Hopefully my situation was something out of the ordinary.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful and affordable flowers with expert help - and apparently one of the few florists in the area that will do hand bouquets rather than arrangements with a vase (after calling 5 different florists to inquire). I was very happy with the experience, I stopped by and told the staff what I was thinking, and then they helped me design a wonderful bouquet within my budget that I was very happy with. Will certainly plan on visiting again.

Fantastic experience: I was just delivered an arrangement that my fella had sent over to my place of work. The arrangement itself was beautiful, but I want to give a shout out to the dellivery person, Tom C. The office suite I'm in is NOT easy to find and I've had many scam/spam callers on my personal cell recently so I never pick up unless I know the person or expect the call. This poor guy was still able to hunt me down and had the biggest smile and the most positive persona I've seen in a long time! The flowers made my day, but Tom's personality, kindness and perseverance was the cherry on top. Thank you Tom! You are a sweetheart!

I can not stress the importance of buying direct with your local florist instead of one of the vendors (1-800 flowers etc) who takes a cut of your money then sends it to the florist so you receive less. Negative experience: Sure would be nice if their drivers drove responsibly and didn’t park in bike lanes and instead parked in legal parking spots without endangering vulnerable road users that rely on these bike lanes to navigate safely. But thats just a thought.

Fantastic experience: Incredible customer service and gorgeous artistry. I received a gorgeous floral arrangement from a friend. Truly stunning. Shortly after they were delivered, I discovered a crack in the container and water was leaking from the green foam that the flowers were arranged in. I called and left a voicemail asking for suggestions on how to keep the flowers from wilting too quickly. The lovely person who returned my call insisted on replacing the entire arrangement right away. An hour later, another gorgeous arrangement arrived. That is customer service you won't get from a 1-800 florist.

Fantastic experience: I ordered a dozen Multi Colored Roses for same delivery and they arrived within less than 3 hours from when I placed my order. The roses were beautiful and my daughter loved them. I would order from A. Johnson & Sons again when I need some flowers. Great company, with beautiful flowers.

Positive experience: I ordered some flowers for my daughter's graduation, the flowers were very nice, but the only thing I didn't like was the presentation, it was as if I had gone to the field, cut the flowers and tied them with a wire, they didn't have a piece of paper or anything so that the arrangements would look pretty, well this was my experience with this flower shop.

Fantastic experience: When I was dating my future wife, A. Johnson was my go to florist because of convenience. After we married and moved to the other side of town, it was easy to think that a florist is just a florist. I soon realized that this is not true. A. Johnson has the highest quality flowers and their customer service is second to none. Even though there are closer florists, I will gladly make the trek as I know they will not disappoint.

Fantastic experience: A. Johnson is well priced even when you don't consider how helpful the staff are. You can get custom arrangements and succulent baskets, or even air plants. But it's really the staff that make the visit worth it. You can literally discuss what you want in your arrangement while they make it. Pretty sweet.

I have been getting my flowers from here for 25+ years. The variety is huge as they have everything from roses, fresh flower arrangements, orchids and so many types of plants. They also will deliver.

Negative experience: Made a special trip in from suburbs in January for a couple unique plants for a funeral. Have had good selection in the past and look to buy from small businesses. First greeter was kind, asked if she could help, told her what I was looking for. Second greeter, was flatout mean and loud. "Ma'am you have to have your mask on," yep, I get it, sorry. Reaching in my bag looking for mask, again "Ma'am, you have to have a mask on!" I understand, not from St Paul, wanted to patronize your business, trying to get my mask on. Put my mask on, looked through store, decided this isn't where I want to patronize and left without purchasing anything. Guess what, drove back out to the suburbs, purchased my arrangements from a different small business. You lost today's sale and a customer for life today. I try to have grace as we all have a bad day, a simple request to put a mask on would be appropriate.
