Fantastic experience: Miss Bertha got a beautiful bouquet on late notice on a very cold day for my daughter's birthday. We were very happy with the flowers and the whole arrangement was gorgeous and understated. Just what we wanted!

Fantastic experience: Ordered flowers and they were delivered on time and beautiful. Got a message from the recipient that they were stunning and they loved the orange roses!

Negative experience: I live in NJ and wanted to have a bouquet delivered to my niece's 16th bday,she lives in Bloomington,MN. So instead of doing a commercial flower shop online, I decided to google map a local florist. I found this one 15min from my niece's house and once I went to review my order the delivery fee was $300!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wasn't asking for them to walk it over overnight. I wanted it there Jan 11th but the 10th was the best option. That's an entire week away! More than enough time to build a bouquet! I am running to 1800flowers because Miss Bertha is Crazy.

Positive experience: Flowers arrived and are beautiful however there was a lag in the business sending the delivery confirmation so I didn't know they were delivered until 10pm and figured they missed delivery. I was expecting a phone call or email but instead they were just delivered to the front desk with neither. Luckily, I was up late and found them before the sat covered in a plastic bag all night.

Miss Bertha's is the supreme of excellence and that is coming from a family of master gardeners. I can order well in advance or for next day-no problem. I send flowers quite frequently to my 95 yr old mom and she always calls and tells me that 'they out did themselves AGAIN! The flowers are grand.' Which is quite the compliment from her. Me, I am always happy because I have never had a delivery issue, never had a wilted or dead flower, always on time deliveries AND when I order online, NO DELIVERY FEES. I have learned to pick the designers choice-you cannot go wrong with it. In season flowers, beautiful designs and huge bouquets for a not so huge price. I will never order from another shop in the Twin Cities. EVER.

When possible, I go in person, to say hello to the sweet and lovely family who own and run the store, and who always make the flowers special, and remember my name! They put together the most beautiful arrangements in town, and when I want to celebrate any occasion in life, this is my sweet spot. So glad they're around after so many years, and haven't changed their model of personal, carefully-attentive design and service.

Negative experience: I contacted Miss Bertha in early January to inquire about wedding flowers because when my friend ordered bouquets from them for her wedding a couple years ago, they were truly very beautiful and affordable. Perhaps I caught them at a busy time, but they were quite unresponsive. It took multiple emails to get a reply. Ten days after my initial attempt to reach out, I finally got a promise for a forthcoming quote. That quote never came though. And while Cara always picked up the phone when I called to inquire, assuring me that it would come, there was never any actual follow-through. The wedding planning process is complicated, with many moving, time-sensitive parts. I wasted a month waiting and hoping that ordering flowers from Miss Bertha would work out because I really wanted to support a local business. I felt stressed and dejected, but eventually found another florist who was wonderful and reliable, so everything was ok in the end. I wish Miss Bertha good luck and success in the future, but as a bit of constructive criticism -- if you're overwhelmed with other orders and cannot take on another, please just be clear about that so prospective customers are not strung along.

Negative experience: Horrible experience…ordered flowers for my husband for our anniversary. I placed the order over 2 weeks in advance, asked for a specific delivery time that fit within the delivery times for his type of work/ the flowers were never delivered while he was at work. AVOID this place at all costs, unless you are OK with your special occasion being ruined.

The flowers were sent back three times because they were poorly done and not what my mother had purchased online. I was leery of sending my sister flowers because of this experience. However, I searched for a private, independent florist and looked up with Miss Bertha’s. My sister got her flowers right on time, and she called me to tell me how beautiful they were. They exceeded very high expectations. Definitely will use this shop again.

Fantastic experience: I ordered a florist's choice bouquet for Ma for Christmas - they arrived right on time and now a week later she cannot stop raving about how beautiful the flowers are and how good the scent still is. She's noted many of the flowers had yet to open when they arrived - and over the last week those have continued to open and add new color and life to her bouquet. Deserves about 20 stars to be quite honest.
