Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough about this charming flower boutique. I wanted to order something really really special for my dear, dear friend, as mother of The bride. I was calling from South Carolina to have flowers delivered in Canada. Michelle worked with me responding immediately to emails and phone calls and working through every detail with such patience and kindness. The gorgeous flowers and soaps and candles and lip balm were beautifully arranged and delivered in less than 24 hours. I highly recommend this lovely place for the beauty of their flowers and gifts, their creativity and professionalism, and they are expediency

Positive experience: I ordered them via the website for a friend who's based in Kingston, ON. I searched "flower shops in Kingston, ON," and Chartreuse appeared as one of the top results. After checking each of the shops, I finally decided to choose this one because of the affordability, beautiful flower arrangements, and the availability of added gifts (I chose the 300g Lindt bar to be included)—a great deal! I am from the Philippines, and this was my first time placing an international order for flower delivery. Their website is user-friendly, with descriptions and photos that were most helpful in helping me decide what to choose. I liked that Michelle updated me, even sent me pictures of my order before the delivery. I also appreciate that, although she called my friend a day before delivery about some gifts she would receive, Michelle didn't tell her that it was from me. It was still kept as a surprise. Negative experience: We ordered a fruit tray for the nurses station on the cancer floor in Kingston. Consisted of pineapple, apples, oranges and grapes but nothing was cut up or arranged. If we wanted groceries, we would have gone to the grocery store. Very unprofessional, would not order again.

Fantastic experience: Chartreuse Flowers did a fabulous job on my grandmother's 80th birthday bouquet - at the last minute, to boot! I do not live in Kingston but I order my grandma flowers every year for her birthday and I will continue to order from Chartreuse because of my first experience being so lovely and smooth. They don’t offer them at the moment, but Michelle went above and beyond! She immediately was open to accommodate and mail one out to me (it arrived perfectly in time).

Fantastic experience: I called from Toronto and requested a last Minute arrangement to be delivered to a local restaurant in Kingston for a friend’s birthday. Not only did Chartreuse Florists make this happen within a very short timeframe but, the flowers were gorgeous!!! Impeccable customer service, spectacular artistry and all at a very reasonable price. Only two days before a Celebration of Life, when I came in and described what we were looking for, you immediately began collecting flowers from the coolers and in moments had created a perfect example of what we wanted, while explaining the additions you would make to fill it out. It was amazingly beautiful, superb quality, and priced properly for the content and work involved. It was ready in plenty of time, and brightened up the event. Fantastic experience: Beautiful flowers and things.

Negative experience: My boyfriend bought flowers for me from yesterday. They were hideous! Now, granted, he lacks taste and is about as civilized as a trogladite, but the shop keeper should not have let him leave with those wilting weed like flowers. Prob caused the end of our relationship. Save your relationship and go to Loblaws floral centre instead.

Fantastic experience: Michelle did such a beautiful job on my wedding flowers, they were even better than the inspiration images I gave her. One of the reasons I hired her was because of her self described perfectionism and attention to detail. She did not overstate her perfectionism, because they were 100 percent perfect. Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Chartreuse if you are coming from out of town and ordering flowers for a convocation. Throughout the entire ordering process, I receive great service, information and accommodation for our unique needs since we were coming from out of town. The flowers were carefully prepped with individual water containers for each one and delivered as late as possible the day prior to our convocation so that the flowers will be at their best on the day of the event. The photo was taken 2 days after delivery and the flowers look amazing still! Communication was excellent throughout. I had preordered the bouquet 1 month before the event. 1 week before scheduled delivery, Chartreuse called me to confirm/finalize details. The morning of the event the owner called to ascertain that the bouquet was satisfactory. Beautiful bouquets, excellent communication & customer service. You can rest assured everything you arrange with Chartreuse will go as planned. Thank you for helping make my daughter’s convocation a success!

Fantastic experience: Michelle made the arrangements for my wedding and they turned out better than I could have imagined. She was so patient with me when I called her to change my mind a million times about the colour palette for the wedding, and she guided me through aspects of design I hadn’t even considered before she brought them up. Michelle also saved me on the day of the wedding, rushing back to the shop to make 2 small flower girls bouquets when we decided not to throw flower petals, and I cannot thank her enough for the beautiful work she did. A few guests took arrangements home with them. And the wedding venue themselves kept a few arrangements to decorate the room of a newly engaged couple that checked in the day after our wedding. Negative experience: I must have caught the owner on a bad day! I tried to send a nice bouquet to my elderly aunt who lost her husband (my uncle) this week. The e-commerce experience was really confusing compared to other floral shops I've ordered from (many across Canada), I would recommend that the owner look into shopify apps for a more professional checkout. She called me asking for my aunts phone number and was *so* rude, when I asked why she would need that (again my aunt is grieving and I don't know that she is answering calls - I was going to give a different family members number if it was related to delivery) and said in the absolute snarkiest, nastiest tone "Well you spent uhh $150 on flowers it doesn't make sense to risk having these disappear now does it?" I told her I'd give another family members phone number but that she needed to be a little nicer since our family is going through a hard time and her customer service could be a lot better. When I said that, she said "Ok - I'm the owner and I'll be cancelling your order" Her floral arrangements look great which is why I wanted to order from here, but with the note I left on the order (which was clearly grieving related) she could have had a significantly nicer disposition and tact (hell - even just a neutral tone. I dont expect people to bend over backwards). Based on the other great reviews I expect that this was a one off, but just entirely unprofessional to cancel my order for telling her to not be rude. A little kindness goes a long way. EDIT - I don't believe that the owner was trying to redeem themselves, I hung up after she said she was going to cancel the order. I truly didn't want to get into it, a grumpy florist is the least of my concerns when I have personal matters much more important to tend to. I provided the information and wanted to be on my merry way.

Fantastic experience: Because of COVID restrictions, my husband and I had an elopement-style wedding (essentially the pastor and witnesses). My family in Ottawa surprised me with a last-minute bouquet from Michelle, who generously came into her shop after hours to prepare the gorgeous arrangement. She included flowers from her garden and even delivered the bouquet in person the next day. My family was bowled over by the next-level customer service and have a high opinion of Kingston businesses as a result. I was touched by Michelle's kindness, and her beautiful bouquet brought a welcome touch of elegance to the intimate gathering.

Fantastic experience: I was one of those inconsiderate people who put an order in at close of business, for a next day delivery. Not only did the owner text me to reassure me she could make it happen, she got a little of the backstory from me and went above and beyond. My sister was eloping, and due to COVID restrictions, only 2 local friends were to be in attendance, as family all live elsewhere. My sister didn't put much heart into it because of these trying pandemic times, and so the owner was the one to suggest we turn my arrangement into a bouquet and boutonniere, which they didn't have. In the end, her spectacular flowers were what made this feel like a true wedding. In addition, this touching gesture will always be one of the key highlights of the day for all of us.

Fantastic experience: Last week I contacted Michelle as I wanted to send an arrangement to my sister for her birthday. Not living in KIngston myself I pursued the various florists and Chartreuse seemed to stand out as being unique. Michelle and I talked in some detail about the arrangement and I sent her a few photos to give her an idea of what I wanted. Not only did she meet my expectations, she far surpassed them and the arrangement was absolutely gorgeous. I wanted to use unusual flowers and had a particular look and colour in mind and Michelle got it in spades! She even had it delivered at precisely the right moment; while my sisters and I were having a zoom call. My sister is absolutely thrilled - even the container was perfect! A week later the flowers that were in bud are opening and the arrangement is still stunning as you can see from the photos. Thank you Michelle - you clearly put a lot of time, love and effort into your masterpieces and it shows!

She found a way to stretch our budget to create the most stunning backdrop for our indoor wedding ceremony (at the Rosemount Inn), and created a bridal bouquet that took my and my mother’s breath away. The boutonnieres were refined, delicate and a piece of art unto themselves. She’s also really fun to communicate with and a delight to work with. I can’t speak highly enough of her work as a very happy customer and bride!

Listening to every whim and wish I had (a bride 6 hours away), Michelle worked closely to come up with creative arrangements for our theme (geometric, jewel tone), offering a personal touch, and supporting me throughout. After 1 day the roses began to wilt. I was not happy so 4 days later I called to complain and within an hour there was a beautiful bouquet delivered to my front door. Fantastic experience: I’ve gotten flowers here a few times over the years: the last few Valentine’s days, and for my wife’s baby shower. I have no desire to go anywhere else. I love how personal all of my bouquets are. The owner is very friendly, helpful, and kind. She helps me figure out exactly what I want and makes it a reality. I appreciate how she works around my budget. The French history exhibits that were set up during the last time I visited were really interesting and educating. I like supporting local businesses, and Chartreuse makes that easy.
