First time buying from dovedale florist, I was tasked with sorting the flowers for a family funeral and with a severe lack of floral knowledge but a not so clear image in my head the amazing team hit my incredibly vague brief to a T! Fantastic experience: I very rarely give a 5 Star because very few services or products are perfect. However I live in Australia and my mum lives in Liverpool. You guys at Dovedale always remind me thst Mothers Day is coming up, because it's not the same day as Mothers Day here in Australia, and I don't want to ever forget my mum on her special day. The flowers this year once again were exceptional. I chose the one in a box so that there was as little arranging and 'fluffing' as possible and I chose the same colours as were shown. An array of light and dark pinks. She was over the moon, she particularly loved the little addition of a butterfly. Her carer, my little sister, sent me a beautiful photo, which I'm sharing here. Your service goes a long way to easing the sadness of not being there as my mum gets older, she's 90 now, wheelchair bound, and Australia is a long long way away! Thank you so much for your service which makes me feel as though you really care about your customers. I'll be back next year!

Fantastic experience: Too be totally honest about this review ..it was my mum in laws birthday today and just googled best reviewed florist in Liverpool and this came up top.. so we went .. certainly not disappointed..great quality of flowers and service.. we just turned up and said what we required and was asked to come back in 15mins as they even asked what colours.. amazing service and we'll be be back in future.. also recommend the coffee/cake shop on same row of shops (the bagelry) very good quality food/drinks and conversation

Fantastic experience: Asked Paula to make an arrangement for a special meal out. I showed her the picture of the table and room and she instinctively knew what would look great. It’s now back in my house 4 days later fully bloomed and still looking stunning.

Negative experience: I was just treated incredibly rudely by a lady at this florist. I placed five pieces of rubbish in the PUBLIC bin outside their shop and was met with shouting and condescension, as if I had committed some major offence. Absolutely unnecessary. This is no way to treat people using public amenities!

Fantastic experience: A belated review but wanted to say thank you for the beautiful spray you did for mum's funeral at end of August. Went in to discuss with Paula what I wanted and she fully delivered. I asked for a spray that looked like a garden as mum loved hers. Got exactly that with a great mix. I didn't take a photo of the spray itself but it was based on one that Dovedale do. Excellent service with the spray delivered to the undertakers and also some family flowers delivered to the house.

Negative experience: I am not a person who writes reviews unless something is exceptionally good and should be shared. But I do not want anyone else to have the same experience I have just had with Dovedale Florists. My sister and I took our mum there to pick out flowers for our dad’s funeral casket and a wreath too. We were as detailed as possible with what we would like and explicitly asked would the lilies for the coffin spray be in full bloom on the day and we were told absolutely they would; to trust them that they would do a good job. However, on the day of my dad’s funeral a couple of days ago the display arrived in the hearse and there was barely an opened lily on it. I counted 16 that were tightly shut making the arrangement look sparse. We were so upset to see this especially as we had made the point of asking them would the flowers be in full bloom and we were unequivocally promised yes. The day after the funeral we went to my dad’s grave to see all the flowers that had been left for him. The lilies on the coffin spray were still all tightly shut so we decided to go back to Dovedale Florists to let them know how disappointed we were and really to press home to them that we didn’t want another grieving family to be let down by them. It may sound trivial but the flowers were our last gift to dad, a tribute to him, so were really important. The 2 ladies, one who took the order and the other who arranged the flowers were both there and it was the owner I presume we spoke to as the other lady walked into the back room on hearing that we were there to complain. My sister and I were very polite and calm and the lady said she was sorry, they had tried to open the lilies up but it just couldn’t be guaranteed (despite their promise to the contrary). She had lots of excuses and was quite defiant and at no point offered a solution or any kind of gesture. My 75 year old mum has just lost her husband of 50 years and Dovedale Florists had no remorse about taking her money for this expensive tribute but then providing a completely inadequate display. I can understand why they have good reviews as the flowers in the shop are lovely but I would never recommend them to anyone who requires funeral flowers where they can’t be viewed before delivery. Dovedale Florists duped us and then fobbed us off. Terrible customer service to a family suffering bereavement.

Negative experience: Got a lovely arrangement of flowers presented in a box for mothers day. Yesterday some flowers started to wilt even though there was plenty of water today more have started dying, so 5 days they have lasted and they weren't cheap! A bunch of flowers from Tesco last a couple of weeks!

Negative experience: I ordered flowers from this florist there was not a great deal of selection to choose from I was given flowers that were not very fresh I was made to feel very uncomfortable and the service was abmissmal. All in all I was not near pleased. Please do not buy flowers from here absolutely awful experience I would highly not recommend this florist.

Fantastic experience: First time ordering flowers, everything went perfectly! The flowers looked exactly like I wanted them to, the basket they came in was also of good quality and as advertised. They even hand-wrote the poem I wrote for her! Best part is that I wanted her to receive them directly and she lives in an apartment building and is only home for a short window during her work day. They were able to deliver very close to the time I requested and everything worked out!
