Fantastic experience: We passed this beautiful florist today while my 5 year old daughter was quite upset. The wonderful lady saw her crying in the street, popped outside and inside managed to make her smile with her kindness and empathy. We were able to see what a beautiful little florist this is with a wide range of flowers and even Jellycats. Will definitely be visiting again when in Preston. Thank you ❤️

Joan is an absolute delight and makes every visit feel so warm and welcoming. They have a wonderful selection of the most beautiful blooms, also Jelly cats. It made my daughter so happy visiting here on Saturday. A truly special place I’d recommend to anyone!

Negative experience: I really don’t like leaving negative reviews, especially for a small local business, but this experience was disappointing. I bought a plant pot with orchids and other flowers, and within a week everything had died, all the leaves fell off the orchid — despite not watering it further at all. When I checked the plant, the roots were rotting, so it was likely already in poor condition when sold. When I went back for advice, I was met with rudeness and a lecture instead of any help. Because of how I was treated, I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend.

My Mum loved foreign holidays and Joan was so lovely and helpful when creating a fitting tribute to her. She even managed to get me some Birds of Paradise - we really appreciated that. Fantastic experience: Bethany and Joan made the most beautiful dried flower Bouquets and Boutonnieres for my wedding celebration earlier this year. The bridal party and our guest all commented on how amazing they looked on the day. They were just perfect and I cannot thank them both enough. Bethany listened to my ideas for the creations and they came out even better than I had imagined. They will last for a long time so I get to keep enjoying them and remembering the day every time I look at them. Thank you both the service was seamless and I was kept up to date all the way up to collection.

I rang again and Joan was helpful and the flowers are amazing, turns out it my friends favourite florist, as I'm in Manchester I didn't know this. Negative experience: Awful flower shop and really rude workers, especially Joan. I placed an order for my anniversary, the bouquet was ugly and the colours of the flowers did not look good together. I rang the shop to let them know I wasn’t happy with the arrangement and asked if there was anything they could do. I spoke to Joan and she said no and was unwilling to help, despite having an unhappy customer. Joan was incredibly rude, condescending, disrespectful and abrupt. Don’t bother ordering flowers from here, Margaret Mason all the way!

Let’s just say they weren’t a patch on the flowers I just received from my mum, who paid a similar price at The Secret Garden. They are absolutely beautiful. I will be using this place in the future whenever I buy flowers! 100% recommend.

Negative experience: If i could give zero stars I would. The owner who has white hair, is horrendously rude and abrupt, this is the second time I have tried to support a local business, I wanted to purchase eucalyptus leaf for my sisters flowers for her funeral. I was told I had to buy i bunch at £15 which I did not need, I also tried to purchase cut flower plant food, which I was given a mini lecture over and sent elsewhere. I highly recommend Preston flowers on Meadow street in Preston. Who were hugly helpful in contrast to the poor customer service is received here at The secret garden. Unfortunately businesses like this will not be around much longer, given the current economic crisis and I take pride in trying to shop local

I popped in and asked for two posies to give to close friends who I was meeting for lunch. Within ten minutes the florist created two beautiful posies which were perfect for the people I'd described. The bouquets looked wonderful and they smelt delightful. Thank you. I wish I lived in Lancashire could visit more regularly. You really are the best.

Negative experience: If I could put zero stars I would. The customer service was horrendous. The woman was incredibly rude and unprofessional to both my friend and I. It’s not the first time she’s been like that either. Every time I had been in her attitude has been appalling, which is such a shame because it could be a lovely place. I do not recommend that anyone shop there.

Fantastic experience: This is the second time I have ordered flowers from secret garden and each time they have been absolutely beautiful and reasonably priced. The second bouquet they even delivered to the hospital ward so I could give them to my visitor (patients aren’t allowed flowers) and they arrived same day and within a couple of hours. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: The secret flower garden recently did our wedding flowers and we would highly recommend. We gave them some photographs and idea of what our theme was and the flowers they created fitted perfectly with our theme. We could not have been happier with them.

Negative experience: I’ve just experienced the worst customer service at this florist. They treated me as though I was wasting their time and didn’t speak to me nicely or try help. However busy you are, your customers needs should be a priority. Is this really how you treat your paying customers???

Fantastic experience: My friend sent me a beautiful bunch of colourful flowers for my birthday yesterday and it just made my day! The flowers were from a local florist called The Secret Garden. They made a cute birthday card with a handwritten message to go with the flowers, which were displayed in a box with water and plant feed. Fantastic experience: All I can say is.. WOW what a service! My friends father had sadly passed away this morning, I rang up The Secret Garden Flower Shop to place an order at exactly 12:25pm for a bouquet of sympathy flowers, the lady on the phone was so accommodating and helpful as it was so last minute. Ordered and paid straight away of the requested flowers we wanted for my friend. Next thing we know, my friend has messaged only an hour later and the flowers have been delivered already. Negative experience: £30 Flowers died after 4-5days. Rang up on the fifth day and I was expected to have known as much information as the florist and that each individual flower is different. Despite having spent hundreds of pounds in the past and the flowers lasting weeks. Customer was complaining about the same thing when I collected. The lady was argumentative and offered hardly an apology. I’ll go elsewhere moving forward. An anniversary gift ruined. Unwanted stress caused. She was rude to my work colleagues as well. 0 customer service. Customer is always wrong.
