Fantastic experience: I recently ordered some flowers for my dear aunts funeral. She had specifically requested, in her funeral plan I held, for a ‘sheaf’ type display for the top of the coffin in white Lillie’s and light pink roses. The resultant arrangement was absolutely superb - many people, including the Co-Op funeral director and staff, commented on how beautiful the flowers were. I’m extremely grateful to Lisa and the team at Allenton for providing such a stunning tribute, delivered with no fuss and for what was an exceptional cost. Fantastic experience: I've always supported independent businesses where possible rather than online internet sites that don't have the personal touch, so a trip to Spondon Florists (now based in Allenton, Derby) was my preferred choice when looking for an independent Florists Shop nearest to my home. I wanted to choose a bouquet for my best friends Mum, who was celebrating a very significant birthday at the weekend, and I called in on a Wednesday afternoon to arrange said bouquet for collection for the following Friday, early afternoon. The lady who served me listened, quite intently, to my requirements and choice of flowers available, and took my details, and then guided me on availability within the budget I had available. On the following Friday afternoon, just after 12 noon, I called in to collect my order, which was ready, and duly paid for the beautifully prepared bouquet. I was also asked by the lady who was serving me if I wanted a card to go with the bouquet, to which I replied yes... a nice little touch on her part. The bouquet was beautifully presented and very colourful too, and was certainly value for the money I paid. I can totally recommend Spondon Florists for all your Floral requirements, and the personal service that they give you beats an Internet site any day of the week. 10/10 from me and absolutely delighted with the bouquet & the service given by all members of the staff...

Fantastic experience: Update- ordered again May 2024, florist’s choice for a birthday, could not be happier! Love that we’ve found a go-to florist in the UK while we are based in the US. Excellent communication as well. Highly recommend. Perfect! I quickly needed sympathy flowers and, being in the US, I wasn’t sure who to select in this locale. Ordering was easy and efficient. I was slightly worried ordering “florist’s choice” for the arrangement, but I ‘m so glad that I did. The arrangement was absolutely lovely! Saving this shop’s info and will definitely use again.

Fantastic experience: Excellent Service. Arrived at 9am, requesting a floral arrangement for my friend's funeral, planned for 10am that day, as I forgot to order beforehand . A gorgeous arrangement was made in 15mins, with colours I requested. Can't thank the florist enough

Negative experience: The flowers I ordered online and what was sent out were quite different and I attach pictures so you can judge for yourselves. I paid 42 pounds for these so called spring flowers that were mainly foliage and bulky flowers to make the arrangement look more than it was but it actually did not contain a lot of flowers and was certainly not very close to the online picture advertised, so I purchased this in good faith but was so disappointed. The delivery was another 7 pounds for a total of 49 pounds for flowers I could have gone to a supermarket for and paid a fraction of this price. I did ask for a new arrangement be sent out again but that was refused. They apparently also contacted my aunty to seek her opinion. Now she had no clue how much I paid for these flowers and so she felt they were nice but for the price they were not and they absolutely were nothing like the advertised arrangement. I thought contacting my aunty was unprofessional. Look at the photographs and decide for yourselves. The pictures do not lie. The first pic are the advertised flowers and the second pic were what were sent out. They bear little resemblance.

We came a week before our mum's funeral, brilliant pricing, the florists listened to our requests and the flowers were beautiful. They integrated flowers our mum loved, as well as some daisy-like flowers which hold great sentimental value for our family. Brilliant attention to detail, even removing the stamens from the lilies. Flowers were delivered on time to the funeral home for mums service too. Thank you so very much!!

Negative experience: Ordered a few days in advance for an elderly ladies birthday. The lady in question has MS and is bed bound but as family members were going to visit her in the morning she was going to get up for a couple of hours. After which she would have to retire again as she would be exhausted and need to rest again. I explained this when ordering the flowers and asked for them to try and deliver them as early as they could so she could see them before having to retire again. No such luck, they arrived late in the afternoon (no call to say when they would be delivered or how late they would be) meaning that the lady wouldn't see them until the next day. I know they have to try and best fit for the deliveries but arriving late afternoon meant I just wasted my money and the lady didn't get flowers on her birthday. I won't buy from here again, There are a few other local florists and I'll use them in future, even if it means getting them the day before.

Negative experience: Would not use again! Bought my wife a dozen red roses for our anniversary. Put flowers in water(obviously), changed water when needed, used both packs of the plant food provided. They were full on wilting after 6days. Not been funny, Aldi flowers last longer! £61 not well spent.

Negative experience: Agreed to have flowers with roses (plural, meaning more than one) delivered by midday, I rang on the morning to check if delivery was still on before midday as hadn't heard anything from girlfriend. Was told 2pm delivery as they're busy doing flowers for a funeral. I explained the agreement with her colleague was before midday. Eventually got a withered bunch of flowers delivered with ONE rose in middle, before midday. Was dead after TWO days. 50 odd quid down drain, never again. Edit: Was sick so last thing was to think to leave a review about flowers nearer the time. Sent flowers for my partner as a "thank you" for being there. Definitely were withered. Wire around mushy stems of Geminis. Ordered "roses" not "a rose". I understand funeral flowers are pre-ordered.

I can call them up and let them know what the occasion is and how much I want to spend and leave it up to them completely! However, I have also been quite specific at times and told them exactly what I want created from bouquets to button holes. Not only do they create exactly what you ask for, they add their own artistic flare and style. They are friendly people to deal with and have a great sense of humour too. My kind of people. Fantastic experience: Just had a bouquet delivered to my grandmother, first off she was in tears at how perfect it was , secondly when i went into the shop the service i received was beyond what i expected , friendly and helpful staff they made me feel at ease as i know nothing about flowers or what my grandmother would like , they helped me pick the colours and the flowers. Negative experience: So after trying to order online, I decided after it failed to order a bouquet direct. Instructed them what I’d looked at but to make a bunch up for £30 , and paid £6 delivery on top. This is what came.... A poor effort for £30 and came in a traditional wrapping, basically a bouquet off the shelf so to speak. I spoke and rang the store about my thoughts and was assured this was a bunch made up specifically for me and had the value of flowers for £30.

Negative experience: We ordered a bouquet over the phone, for the funeral of our friend's father. The bouquet looked very nice and arrived on time. HOWEVER, the bouquet was not at all what we asked for. We talked to an unpleasant lady on the phone, who made it seem like she wished she could be anything other than helping us. We asked for specific flowers and colors, she agreed - but the picture our friend sent us of the bouquet was completely different. We think she just picked a ready-made bouquet off the shelf, thinking we would never find out.

Negative experience: Someone else not happy with the attitude of staff. Think the owner may want to look at new management or send the current one on a customer care course. Being felt like I didn't matter as a customer and implied that I gave the wrong delivery instructions when I think I know what I said. I won't use this florist again.

Negative experience: Terrible ! I asked again and again for them not to put chrysanthemums into my Bocquet and they did and then they died two days later awful won't be going back!!
