They have pre-made arrangements available at a variety of price points and will also make custom arrangements. When I was looking to buy some cat-safe flowers, the employees knew exactly which plants weren't safe for cats and made me a custom, cat-safe arrangement within my budget on the spot.

Fantastic experience: I want to thank Primrose so much for their help and care in creating a funeral arrangement for a friend’s visitation. I was rather upset when I called and I requested flowers that they did not have. They kindly offered to contact their supplier and get back to me the next day with options. As promised, I received a call the following day and they were able to source ivy for the bouquet, which was a symbol I really wanted to include. I even ordered an additional decoration to be delivered to them directly (I am not local) and they proactively let me know when they received it and reassured me that it would be included. The arrangement was absolutely beautiful and was deliver to the funeral home with no issues. I so appreciate their careful handling of the situation and their kindness in communicating with me when I was obviously upset. What a lovely business and employees; thank you again.

Fantastic experience: 2023: What a beautiful bouquet! It was easy to order online and pickup. Service was quick and easy, with the flowers ready on time. Love this local business and their creativity! I've used them for gifts and dinner party centerpieces. Edit 2025: Primrose provided our bridal and wedding party bouquets as well as family florals and they were stunning! Leah was great during the whole planning process from quote to the wedding day. I loved the Build Your Own Bouquet day that lets you play around with flowers to see what you like, and take the bouquet home as a bonus! Leah understood my minimalist desires and created something so timeless and chic. Dropoff on wedding day was super easy, and the team handled all the boutonnieres pinning as well which was a lifesaver. Leah and the team are so talented and friendly, so happy to support my neighborhood shop for my wedding.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional customer service! As a walk in I was greeted by a very friendly associate. She was interested in the occasion we were celebrating ( the arrival of a new Granddaughter) and guided some beautiful arrangements already prepared. I inquired about something custom and was told she could produce something in about a half hour. I said let’s do it and she went to work. As I returned in about 20 minutes she was putting on the finishing touches. It was beautiful and picked up on the feel appropriate to our celebration. As I waited I enjoyed a conversation with owner Leah. She along with a very busy staff obviously enjoyed their opportunity to be creative in sharing with the clients occasion. Having waited over a bit to write this review I can also comment how fresh the flowers must have been as they look beautiful more than a week later! All I can say is don’t go anywhere else

Unlike other places that failed to deliver on time, Primrose Chicago was incredibly helpful. We needed to change a delivery date last minute, and they were super accommodating, ensuring the flowers were delivered perfectly. They even called the our friend who was getting the flowers to confirm, which no other shop has done!

Fantastic experience: I love the walk-in build-your-own bouquet option! Well, you pick it out and the staff grabs and assembles it all. Which I for sure prefer. Super gorgeous and they have plants too!! We love Leah and co!

They called me, said they recognized the recipient's name from their customer list, and had in their notes that our friends preferred flowers other than lilies -- and confirmed that they should take the lilies out of the bouquet we ordered. So awesome!

Fantastic experience: We worked with Leah and the Primrose team for our December 2024 wedding, and we were very impressed. The team executed our vision, and the florals really enhanced the décor during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. During the planning process, the team did a nice job of translating our thoughts and ideas into concrete pieces. The team was also super flexible as we were working through the proposal. I especially enjoyed the Build a Bouquet Day. I went into the Primrose store and the team laid out 25+ different types of florals for me to try out and see what I liked for my bouquet. I would absolutely work with Primrose again.

Fantastic experience: I called from Florida to purchase a plant for my son's new apartment. He needed a pet friendly one and I requested a Boston fern. That type was not available, but the one chosen for him was very similar. It was moderate in size and it was placed in a nice ceramic pot. My son works 2 jobs and it needed to be delivered before 3pm. The fern was delivered before 2pm and my son was very pleased, as was his 1 year old chocolate lab. The shop was recommended by another local florist in Chicago. Their business was known for floral arrangements and they did not deal with any plants. They seemed eager to give the recommendation and had their number handy. I think the price was a little higher than I expected, but the item was available in their shop and the item was delivered earlier than expected. In my opinion that makes the service outstanding.

I stopped in and told them the price point for a bouquet I wanted and worked with me on finding the right flowers and for me to my price point. They didn’t like the way one of the flowers looked so replaced it with a more healthy looking flower. Exceptional service , kind staff and excellent selection. Will come back!

Fantastic experience: Primrose is my absolute FAVORITE go to flower shop. I go there for any loved one’s birthday or special occasion and they always go above and beyond. All of the bouquets in these pics are custom made and all under $50 (most are $20-30). I just got my aunt a bouquet there last month and she said they lasted 2 full weeks!!! They are also so accommodating for however you want them wrapped and can even water pack it so the flowers can last longer out of water. One time they even helped me build a bouquet with handmade paper flowers that I brought in and did an AMAZING job. The quality and excellent customer service are truly unmatched. I love this place so much!!!

When I plan ahead and decide to really make my love feel special, I choose the premium flowers and they are absolutely amazing. I've ordered with them going on four to five years now and they only get better.

Fantastic experience: We used Primrose Chicago for our wedding florals - we are two brides and didn’t need florals for decor, so we bought 2 bridal bouquets & 2 boutonnières for our dads from Primrose. We opted to do a custom bouquet build with Leah, and it was perfect! A month before our wedding we met with her for a couple of hours to pick out exactly what florals we wanted in our bouquets. We picked from the same selection of florals so our bouquets were similar but not the same, overlapping by about 70%. Leah created the bouquets and we approved them that night. On the wedding day she dropped them off on time & they were absolutely perfect. We LOVED working with Primrose and highly recommend, especially to other two-bride couples!

My daughter wanted something we had never seen before on Pinterest or Instagram, and Leah delivered something better than I ever expected. The centerpieces and bouquet were amazing. All the flowers were (are) so long lasting. The bouquet looks as perfect today as it did all day yesterday. The room was magical. We can't believe how the arch transformed magically into the garland for the head table. It looked like it was designed that way to begin with. Thank you for everything.
