Negative experience: Had an awful experience with a guy named Jesus there. He was incredibly rude and belittling and clearly didn't listen regarding the vision of my very simple request. It was relatively short notice so I didn't mind them not fulfilling my request but the way he treated me was unacceptable. I can only recommend to avoid that shop. By the way, I ended up getting exactly what I wanted at another florist (and immediately) - so much for my request apparently being too complicated.

Fantastic experience: We ordered from the website, sight unseen, from out of state for an event in Chicago. The delivery was made with out issues prior to the close of the delivery window. When I first set eyes on the centerpieces I was so overcome with joy! They were stunning! So much more than I had envisioned!

I gave them a list of flowers and colors my girlfriend loved and they put together a beautiful bouquet that highlighted seasonal varieties, flowers in bloom, and pops of color. Awesome to work with. Delivery to hotel went flawlessly. Much better than the online vendors recommended by hotels that can’t accommodate custom orders or requests.

Fantastic experience: I ordered 4 arrangements for my dinner at Capital Grille. I asked that they be low so we could talk over them and that they use whatever looked good to them. The arrangements are beautiful and I am so happpy that I didn't over instruct them. They delivered to the restaurant which was also great. It would be worth the trip to the city if I needed flowers for an event in my home. Use them with the utmost confidence.

They could not deliver because the doorbell was not working! AND the person did not answer her mobile phone. City Scents called me and we worked out a more sure-fire delivery option for the next day. Each step of way, City Scents assured me that the flowers would be placed in the cooler until the new delivery date, and they stated that they would replace any flowers if needed. I was so impressed by their level of care to ensure that the flowers I had ordered were in top condition. This is Five-Star service!!

Fantastic experience: My daughter's puppy died 1 week before its 1st birthday. Every year on the puppy's birthday I do something special for my daughter. Today the puppy would have been 4 yrs old. Although, it's always difficult to lose an animal friend, the arrangement that I chose brightened her day. Her flowers were delivered on time and she cried (happy and appreciative tears). Fantastic experience: We live on the west coast and we wanted to celebrate our daughter running the Chicago Marathon (her first marathon). She had been sick all week, so I wasn’t sure she’d finish/be able to run, so I hadn’t made any plans for flowers. Long story short, I called at 7:30a, and they arranged a beautiful bouquet and note to our champion marathoner by 11a or so. It was beautiful and she felt our celebration 2,000 miles away. Negative experience: I was looking for helium for 3 regular sized mylar birthday balloons. I called a few places nearby that where unavailable but the the man at this store shared that they could do it and the price would be $4.99 p/ balloon. Ok, great! I let him know I would stop by in a bit. When I arrived he mentions that he made a mistake which he realized after he hung up and pricing was actually $9. So double the price? For helium?! He didn’t even honor his pricing mistake and due to having to get to the birthday reservation on time, I was now out of luck with no balloons with my gift. The least he could have done was honor the pricing based on his mistake and my trip over. Him brushing off a cost that doubled for helium irritated me the most to where I just couldn’t agree to pay $30 to blow up 3 small balloons that I purchased elsewhere.

Negative experience: Got a really greedy vibe from them. I called about a bridal bouquet and they quoted me 3 times the average of what florists are charging in the area. I also used to work in the floral industry for a long time and that pricing is astronomical and a rip off. I’d do some calling around and research before dumping an excessive amount of money here. To the owner update: thank you for trying to justify your unjust pricing, however, it’s not going to work with me. Everything you’ve listed is the same thought and effort put in by your competitors who choose to not rip off their customers. Your business is WELL over priced. Good luck to you with that type of business model!

Fantastic experience: I came in looking for a last minute bridal bouquet after getting one from a local florist and it wasn’t at all what I wanted. I told the florist at the bar what I was looking for, I explained my time constraints as I had less than 30 minutes to get to the pier for the wedding. They worked pretty quickly and fast and delivered a beautiful bouquet and totally blew my mind away with their work! 10/10 recommend!
