Fantastic experience: I've known that I wanted Academy Florist to do my wedding flowers for many years and it was absolutely the right choice. The whole process was smooth and easy and working with Michaela was great. I was blown away on my wedding day when the flowers were delivered to our suite and couldn't stop talking about how beautiful they were all day. I even got my bouquet preserved! The flower arrangements were above and beyond everything I dreamed and they perfectly captured the theme and colour scheme I wanted. I love the Academy Florist team and their work is incredible!

Negative experience: From my experience on our wedding day, the flower bouquets did not meet my expectations considering the price we paid. We have discussed details and colours ahead of time, and paid in the full price for everything. When I first saw bouquets on the wedding day, I got disappointed mostly because bouquets were small in size and had some mistakes with details but especially brides maids bouquets looked like baby bouquets. The quality and size was not worth the amount they charged. The flowers were good, and we would be much happier if it would have been less pricy but because we paid a lot of money for it, it just disappointed us.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to send flowers to a friend and decided to order from here. Since I don’t live in the area, I wasn’t sure which florist to choose, but when I looked at their website, the bouquets looked so stylish and tasteful that I decided to go with them. They created an arrangement that was even more beautiful than I expected, and my friend was absolutely delighted. Thanks to them, I even got credit for having great taste—even though it was really their work! I also loved that they offer a chocolate delivery service along with the flowers. Such a thoughtful touch!

Fantastic experience: got back to me super quickly when I mistakingly clicked the wrong pickup date. They fixed it right away and were overall amazing, I have bought flowers from this place multiple times before and they are always beautiful

Negative experience: ordered a 65 dollars worth of flowers here, but it is not as fresh and as much as the bouquet i bought in costco. Ended up have to go to costco again to get more flowers for my friend’s graduation.

Fantastic experience: Academy is my go to flower shop when in Winnipeg. Their pop up bouquets are always stunning and the shop has such a light and airy vibe. Academy Florist most recently created two custom bouquets for a celebration of life with a price point and colour palette. They turned out beautifully and we were so pleased with balance. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I needed to send flowers to friends from out of province and after reading the reviews, I chose Academy Florist. I'm very glad that I did. It was an emotionally-charged situation and the woman helping me on the phone was kind and patient and made the process easy for me. My friend was more than pleased with the result. Somehow the florist had managed to incorporate all of her favourite flowers in the arrangement. I am so glad that I had chosen Academy Florist to express with flowers what I struggled to say with words.

Negative experience: Sadly, I had a bad experience here. I bought a small house plant and it developed an outbreak of spider mites with webs all over the leaves and black dots of bugs. It was within a month of bringing it home. Thankfully, we found the infestation before it spread to any other plants, which would’ve been devastating. The store did nothing but deny responsibility (I would have liked to get a non-infested plant). I don’t recommend buying plants from this store. They admitted mites happen sometimes because they said to use insecticide like they do at the store. All this for a $20 plant.

Fantastic experience: As a photographer, I’m always thrilled to hear when a couple will be using Academy Florist! Their designs are stunning, and the flowers hold up beautifully throughout the entire wedding day. Whether vibrant and garden-inspired or classic and elegant, their creations are always breathtaking and a true pleasure to photograph. Highly recommend for anyone looking to add that extra touch of beauty to their event!

Positive experience: Buyers be careful when you buy sweets from this business. I've paid 30 cad for big box of sweets (400gr) which is a decent price. My recipient didn't like it - it was oversaturated with sugar. The business won't give a refund in this case. Actually won't give a refund in any case except when package is broken. I would rather spend my good money to buy sweets that I know from grocery.

I was shocked when I say my bouquet, I imagined what it would look like but gasped when I saw how perfectly they were able to reproduce our ideas and fall vibes. Fantastic experience: Academy Florist was hired for our Wedding Aug 24th 2024 at the Manitoba Club. I met with Amanda a few months before to go over plans. I really liked her experience and eye for design which took my ideas and made this into a better outcome. The dream looks I wanted for my flowers actually surpassed what I envisioned. I couldn't have been happier - I couldn't stop staring at my flowers during my reception. The design, set up and communication was great. They had moved over our flowers from the ceremony room to the reception area in-between the end of the ceremony. The way they placed the flowers made it beautiful and it really pulled everything together. We received numerous compliments about the flowers and still do to this day. The pictures of the flowers from our wedding are stunning but in person they were even more beautiful! We did go pretty full out budget wise for our flowers and I do not regret it, it was so worth it!

Fantastic experience: We used Academy Florist for our wedding in July 2024 and were thrilled with both the service and most beautiful flowers. Their process for weddings includes an intro meeting to discuss the types of flowers, colours, budget, etc., and then there is some back and forth over email to get the moodboard just right. You don't actually get a preview or detailed info about what the exact flowers will look like ahead of time, as it depends on their stock on the event day. But trust them!! Our flowers were just as I had imagined and they were accommodating about finding a solution that fit within our budget. Would highly recommend!

Negative experience: I had called academy florist to arrange some funeral flowers .I specifically asked that a photo be taken when the arrangement was done .as I could not attend the funeral I had no way of seeing what the finished product looked like .well no photo was sent to my email .I have called the funeral home to send me a photo of the arrangement .I'm very disappointed in a simple request that wasn't met .I will call another florist in the near future

Fantastic experience: I stumbled upon Academy Florist recently while in the neighbourhood seeking 2 bouquets for family gravesites. They asked a few quick questions about colours, how much I wanted to spend, the size of the vase I'd be placing them in, etc. Then, 2 women made the bouquets very quickly. They made incredibly beautiful arrangements for less than initially estimated. I was nearly in tears at how gorgeous the bouquets were. I'm very grateful they were able to serve me on walk-in and was overjoyed with the flower arrangements. Thank you again to everyone who helped me that day. You brought so much happiness to what is always a sad day when I stop at my family gravesites.

Negative experience: I'm a little disappointed with this florist. I bought flowers yesterday for my wife's bday, and wanted them delivered to her today. She still hasn't received em. You'd think there would be enough awareness. Not have the day be practically over before she gets em. Thanks Academy florists. Top notch customer service....not!!

This was my first time ordering from Academy Florist and they knocked it out of the park - I live out of province, and wanted to send my friend a beautiful arrangement the week of her wedding and though Academy Florist has gorgeous work across the board on their website and social media, this exceeded my expectations! Fantastic experience: We hired Academy Florist for our wedding, and they were wonderful to work with. They just made everything so easy! Their expertise allowed them to make suggestions on specific blooms to get the exact impact we wanted, and they were so accommodating every time we went to change something. Negative experience: Don’t waste your time here. Staff are rude and not willing to help. Came in with the intentions of buying a bouquet, ended up leaving with nothing. There are a lot of other flower shops in the area that deserve your business!

Negative experience: When your arrange to have flowers to be delivered on a certain day as a celebration to a very special event , and the recipient receiving a phone call 30 minutes after the order was placed which was in the morning of the day BEFORE the scheduled delivery well that totally ruins the surprise and defeats the whole purpose!!

Negative experience: Ordered a bouquet for Admin week for my assistant. We work in a hospital. Clear delivery instructions were provided, including calling my assistant at drop off. However my assistant was not called and the bouquet was never received by her.

Negative experience: I have been ordering flowers from Academy Florist since I moved to Winnipeg 2 years ago. Their taste for bouquet arrangements is very nice and their choice of seasonal flowers are also good. Nevertheless, every time I ordered I wasn't happy with the service. I don't mind their prices either (I can always justify spending money on nice flowers). But, Covid-19 and low staff issues aside, when you call to order flowers (to bring others or yourself a bit of joy and hope in life), you shouldn't encounter someone impatient on the phone because you take more than 10 seconds to decide what you want to order. Also when you feel like asking for advice on bouquets/types of flowers (sorry that I just have basic knowledge about flowers) nobody is able to/or wants to help. It's your job, you are selling flowers, you should love helping customers with fitting their hopes/expectations using your expertise. I've always felt rushed on the phone and the tone employed by many of their staff was almost disrespectful. As well, I rarely have a warm/welcoming pick-up experience. It's sad because in this kind of time, flowers can make someone`s day, but it looks like you are clearly bothered by people ordering here. Please, remember that this is a team relationship, business owners and customers working hand in hand to make things better.

Fantastic experience: I had ordered flowers for my mom's funeral service just a few days before the service and while I was in a different province. I had initially called another florist closer to the funeral home who said they could not accomodate our request for arrangements with white and red roses at the last minute. Well Academy Florist delivered the most beautiful arrangements which had an abundance of white and red roses. It was exactly what my mom would have wanted. I will use Academy Florist for all my flower needs in Winnipeg. Thank you so much for bringing beauty to an otherwise heartbreaking day.

Negative experience: Called in my order after perusing their website, paid and assumed all was fine. Order was delivered to my daughter by another company (!?) but it was not what I chose. When I contacted both academy and the delivery florist (bloomex) neither took responsibility, nor were willing to correct the issue. Didn’t get what I paid for and very disappointed at the lack of customer service. Beware.. if you’re ordering here, you may get pawned off on their “contractor”. And if an error is made by either of them, nothing will be done as they point fingers at each other, and you’ll be left in the lurch.

Fantastic experience: Ordering online is extremely convenient! The Bouquets are always beautiful. Ample street parking in front of the store. Their Instagram page is always up to date , making sure you know the items that are currently available. The only Florist in the city I go to and recommend to others.

Positive experience: Ive followed this florist on instagram for years. Just a few months ago i finally started ordering a few smaller bouquets from them and they were all beautiful. So when i got engaged this past winter i knew i wanted them to help me with flowers. After a few consultations and quotes we did choose Academy as our florist for the wedding. They were very helpful and understanding of what we wanted and any changes we had to make due to our ever changing wedding plans because of covid-19. The flowers they did for us were beautiful and everything i'd dreamed of even if we had to cancel a large portion of our florals. Dealing with Brittany was a pleasure.

Positive experience: I love Academy Florist, they did a excellent job of the mothers day bouquets I just ordered. They have a nice shop and although you sometimes have to wait a short while, they will always help you out if you need something quick. My only criticism would be that they could improve how fast they respond to emails! Otherwise a great florist and definitely my go to in Winnipeg. Keep it up!

Fantastic experience: Academy has been a consistently reliable and high quality florist for me over the years. They did the flowers for our wedding, and I've used them to send bouquets several times without incident. Yesterday (Mother's Day) I was reminded of how good they are; two different people had sent me flowers for the occasion from two different florists, one of which was Academy. The academy bouquet showed up on time; the delivery driver waited to confirm I had received the flowers before he left so that they didn't shrivel from the cold abandoned on the doorstep; the bouquet was fresh and beautiful. This is in stark contrast to the other bouquet I was supposed to receive from a different florist, which showed up a full 24 hours late, was dumped hurriedly on our doorstep upside down, and was half wilted. Moral of the story, go with Academy.

Positive experience: Needed flowers for a friend. Stopped in and found parking on the street. Walked in, the decore and layout is beautiful. Lots of little gifts and a nice scent of flowers. A lady came over to me and asked if I needed help. I told her I wanted daisies and she made an arrangement. She wasn't very friendly and didnt look very happy. She did make a nice arrangement and it took about 15 mins. Price was fair.
