Negative experience: Received flowers, all I can say is what a poor amount of flowers for over £60.00. Please go by previous reviews, they are out to rob you.
Negative experience: Oh what a difference a year makes and different owners - at the bottom is my review 11 months ago - this is my review from July 2023 - Pictures on website are nothing like what is delivered - Large summer hand tied flowers, looks very good on screen - the reality is what was delivered, beare no resemblance to the potential image on the website for said product. I fully accept that available flowers are seasonal however were these really "The freshest,most vibrant seasonal blooms" available? Even the volume of flowers looks way off the marketing picture. No wonder I didn't get sent the photo of said bouquet as requested. Below photo is what was delivered - freshest NO, Vibrant seasonal blooms NO - They haven’t even had the courtesy to respond to my complaint - I won’t touch them again with a barge pole! Awful - Oh and they don’t reply to complaints!!!! This is my review 11mths ago that I gave 5 stars - I've just been sent a photo of the lovely bouquet you delivered today. Thanks so much for the array of lovely summer colours.

Negative experience: Not even worthy of a 1*. They didn’t send anything remotely like what I ordered. What was ordered arrived the day before it was scheduled to, completely different bouquet and was in a poor condition. Leaves dry and wilting, stems too soft to support the flowers, leaves falling off. No response to emails, shockingly PayPal went in the sellers favour as claims the bouquet was close to what was ordered. Rubbish. I had photos to prove it. Could have bought better quality flowers from a local off licenses. Total con, I do not recommend.
Negative experience: Birthday flowers arrived at 5.30 on my birthday. Flowers were not the ones ordered and no balloon. Have been unable to contact by phone or email.

Moving to "On-line" only. With the costs of staff,rent & rates in the city we have made the decision to do this going forward. We want to cut the overheads to offer more back to the customers over time. The premises did not get much footfall where it was and was very expensive to be there. People can still order online or email with issues/information and there will be discounts given to all customers that use our services. This has proven very popular already with customers. The systems that were in place are now being updated to make things easier within the admin side. Products will be altering over the year as well. But i am sure it will all be worth it in the end. Negative experience: Ordered flowers and chocolates a few days ago for delivery to my Mother yesterday from Margaret Emms, as I have done for several Christmases now without problems. This year however, no flowers and chocolates delivered, no-one picking up 'phone, nor any answer to e-mails - does anyone know if they've gone out of business, if so, why is their web-site still operating and taking money? Update: Another day passes, still with no-one picking up phone or answering e-mails - if they have taken my money and not delivered anything is this theft? Update 2: Still no communication whatsoever, although flowers finally delivered 1 day late and still no sign of the chocolates we paid for at the same time. Update 3: Flowers and chocolates delivered, although separately and late - major problem is lack of / delayed communication from shop - I understand that there has been a change of ownership and staff will now answer phones in the mornings - will be interesting to see how the reviews develop over the coming months.
Phones are not manned, have said this before. Yes we know about the chocolates as out order has not come in. We have a list of all customers that have not received the chocolates and will be sending these out once we have them. Hope that helps
Negative experience: *AVOID AT ALL COSTS* If I could give this place zero stars I would I placed an order for flowers early Thursday morning to collect from the store at 9am Friday. The order all went through and I recieved a confirmation email. Come Friday, I arrived at the store at 9, to find a sign on the door telling me they were closed for a few days but that you could still order online. I tried ringing their number multiple times, even leaving a couple of voicemails asking them to contact me back as how can I collect flowers from a closed store. These were supposed to be to celebrate a co-worker passing an important evaluation, and not only did I give up at about 10am from the store (after no answer from any of the times I tried to phone or from my messages), so that I was very late to work, but I also had no flowers! Come to the following Monday after complete radio silence from them, they emailed me midday Monday stating ' we had/have a delivery here that was supposed to be collect but was not' essentially accusing me that it was my fault for not picking them up when I had very clearly tried everything in my power to do so! Clearly they didn't even bother or care to listen to any of the voicemails and messages I left them and instead emailed me acting like this was my fault! I am beyond angry at this shop for their appauling customer service and warn anyone thinking about using this shop to not bother! Fingers crossed I hear back from them and at least get my money refunded. Stay away! EDIT: In light of the response, there was absolutely no information about opening times on the shop door, just that they were closed as shown in the picture
There was times on the door. Only open 10am-1pm for collections only now. Shop is now shut all other times. If you email your bank details i am more than happy to refund you in full. The business will be taken over soon.
Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Terrible service, ordered flowers, they were not delivered. Have sent 6 emails so far and had no response. They’ve ruined an annual tradition… Would not recommend. Scammers
Excuse me? These were delivered to the rear door and the lady who was hoovering at the time pointed to leave near rear door. They were delivered. We even have a picture of the delivery as our driver now takes photos and times of each delivery..
Negative experience: Very disappointed. Ordered a floral tribute for my husbands grave, paid £50 and got 5 roses! Very poor quality utterly disgusted. Margaret Emms you should be ashamed of such a floral tribute (if that's what you can call it). Will definitely not recommend or use again. Tried calling but no answer poor customer service too.

Negative experience: Scroll down for full thread and update! Totally unprofessional owner and lack lustre flowers! Shocking after sales service, antiquated system for checking location of driver! No issue with the girl taking orders but was almost impossible to get hold of owner as (and I quote) ‘he’s very busy man’! My complaint was completely ignored and at the very least I expected the delivery charge to be refunded (ordered at 0900 and delivered to my mothers place of work…half a mile away at 5:30 when she’d already left for the day (the flowers were supposed to be a surprise). The delivery van is obviously just a basic vehicle with no cooling system on board and yet the owner has the cheek to preach about how to look after your flowers. James is quick to point out that he was not the owner at the time of previous, negative reviews but the service and quality has not improved since he took over. When I mentioned to James that I would be leaving a poor review he responded by accusing me of just trying to get my money back and that he would make his opinion known in his response to my review……….. MY RESPONSE TO OWNERS RESPONSE: And there we have it! Hi, So sorry you feel this way, but let me explain to the other readers.
You ordered the flowers at 9am for the same day delivery, but you did NOT request before noon which obviously costs extra as its a priority & our drivers had already left with most of the days orders on the van. We deliver all over from NR1-NR18 so the driver would have gone to the AM deliveries first then to NR18 area. My manager had already explained to you why you would not be getting a refund as they had been delivered on the day. My manager had also asked you to send pictures of the dying flowers and it was clear to see they were in fact fine. Our flowers are delivered fresh daily from our supplier, but had there been an issue they would have been exchanged , but there was no issue. The routes are also pre planned for the drivers and they follow this list to work back towards the depot. Again, had you paid for the AM delivery it would have been slotted in with the other AM deliveries and would have been with your mother before 12. If you read on the website it does say :- Norwich Area NR1-NR7
6 days a week from Monday to Saturday, order by 12 noon Monday to Friday for same day delivery
And the flowers were delivered the same day in very good order so i don't really see what the issue is here or why it escalated to get to me.
If there had been a genuine issue it would have been rectified by the manager on the day, no question.
I hope that clears this up.

Negative experience: Two Very Poor Experiences! Never again 1. Booked through Interflora on December 20th for delivery on Christmas Eve as a gift for an elderly lady coming out of hospital. Flowers delivered at 10:45pm which disturbed her greatly. No time slot given - fine. But the bouquet was no way near as described. Clearly whatever they had lying around was just bound together. Complained to Interflora and received apology and full refund. Interflora service is excellent. See photo of what I ordered (left) and what arrived at 10:45pm (right) 2. Given that experience I decided to go direct and searched local florists and read reviews. I didn't know I would end up booking directly through the same company!!! Made a reservation on December 28th and paid for next day delivery. No delivery. Called - no answer. Left a message - no response. Emailed - no reply. Emailed again to cancel the order and request full refund - still no reply. Terrible service! The flowers were then delivered on January 5th, over a week late. I received a automatic confirmation email saying "Your flowers were delivered 29th December" - erm, no they weren't! Its been 2 weeks and I still haven't received any response by email or phone so no apology offered and no refund or gesture made.

Fantastic experience: I sent a large bouquet of flowers to someone who had lost their mum suddenly. A terrible shock. She absolutely loved the flowers, said they were stunning, and each bloom was perfect and they made a big impact. She said it was one of the nicest bouquets she'd seen. She also noted how large the bouquet was. I saw a photo and they were wrapped beautifully as well. Thank you for putting so much into this bouquet - it meant a lot to her. And will help at this difficult time.

Negative experience: Ordered an arrangement for my parents anniversary, the only thing good about them was they arrived the right day. There was plenty of green and hardly no flowers and the flowers they had started dropping within a few days. I wish now i had gone to the local supermarket has they would have lasted a lot longer. So for the price you pay I will not be using them again.

We always send out a customer care pack so you know how to look after the flowers once they arrive. If they are left near heat they will wilt. The water also has to be changed to keep the flowers in the best possible condition. Sorry they were not up to your expectations.

Negative experience: Disappointed with arrangement and after service promise. The arrangement arrived with 3/5 of the lily buds broken so I immediately rang shop to notify them. As the flowers weren't for me what I was hoping for was that another stem would be delivered to replace the broken one. I guess though, because she didn't want to send another out that day, she promised to send a small arrangement the following week as an apology. Unfortunately that wasn't honoured and despite emailing twice including a picture of the broken stem I've heard nothing. It's easy to promise things but very damaging if not carried out.

Negative experience: Can't help but feel like I have payed for their overheads and shortfall, you will get 30% less than advertised and you will be charged for delivery even if it is across the road the only reason I choose this florist. I wont be using them again. Updated £62 and the roses are dead in less than 3 days absolutely shocking RIP off go to a supermarket spend £20 and you will get the same that will last more than a week. Get a window cleaner your windows sum you up. DISGUSTING!!!!!!

And with the price we paid does not warrant the bad quality of the ones delivered to me Hubby very annoyed with them and won't use this company. Negative experience: I ordered a Pastel Gift Box via Interflora which was made up by this florist. Should have contained a variety of flowers in pink, lilac and peach to name a few. The reality versus expectation was extremely disappointing. What was delivered to my mother as an Easter gift, was a great deal of greenery, 1 single bright pink rose and 8/9 white flowers from 2 stems. Nothing like advertised in the slightest.
Negative experience: I received a bouquet of flowers for my birthday which was lovely however when I shared the photo with the sender she was horrified at the lack of flowers and quality. Apparently she had spent over £50 on this bouquet.

Fantastic experience: A beautiful bouquet was bought for me 4 weeks ago and still looks good following the recent removal of some stems. I regularly top up the original water containing the plant food. I love the way that I can easily place the bouquet straight into my vase as my flower arranging skills are not the best.

Negative experience: Unfortunately a very disappointing experience, may be better outside lockdown. I ordered a bouquet online and selected delivery for Monday, they didn’t arrive although I had still been charged. After contacting Margaret Emms I was advised they were shut due to covid (no mention of this on their website or when placing my order) and that my order would be delivered on Thursday. They were delivered but looked nothing like the pictures online and instead like something you’d get from the supermarket. I contacted them again about this and was advised their stock was limited due to covid, again no mention of this on their website and no apology on either occasions.

Fantastic experience: I needed a floral tribute for my brothers funeral which was today. As it was Easter when I wanted to order I did it all on line. I ordered the basket containing cream and white flowers and it was absolutely lovely. Just like the picture on the website. The price was good too. Only comment I would make is that I would have liked Emms to either send me an email, text or telephone call just to let me know whether or not my request had reached them. However I gave them a ring yesterday and was told that they had indeed received my order and it would be delivered the evening before the funeral as requested by the undertaker When I saw the arrangement for the first time beside my brothers coffin I was overjoyed. It was just as it appeared in the picture. Thank you so much Emms. I will certainly use your flower shop again.

Negative experience: 10 days ago I sent via their website a comment that I was unhappy my Mothers Day flowers had been delivered very late in the afternoon by a complaining delivery driver, about how many he had to deliver! To date I have received no acknowledgment or apology.

After Margaret disrespected and belittled me I spoke to Interflora and they was amazing they are sending me out complimentary bouquet of my choice and a full refund and they are going to investigate Margaret emms. disgusting woman!

Negative experience: NEVER use Margaret Emms Florists. STILL waiting for a refund on a £35 bunch of flowers which I cancelled 9 hours after cancelling the order, both by email and by phone. That was on the 10th February. As of today when I post this, after I made a phone call in which the refund was supposedly processed, I STILL have had no refund. edit: Apparently, after quite a heated phone call, the refund went through an hour before I posted this. The point is, it took a phone call from me to get the refund processed. I still stand by this review and this company can post the receipt if it feels like and try to make me out to be a slanderer but the money didn't enter my account until the 22nd February and trying to blame Worldpay is just low. I would suggest not using them. Apparently there was a Paypal option which was not visible on my screen. NEVER use these people, especially after they phoned me to try and get me to remove this review.
Fantastic experience: Very grateful to the delivery driver who didn't give up after the first knock, 2nd knock or the 3rd knock, she waited which gave my wife time to get out of the shower and get downstairs so she didn't miss her flowers! thank you!
Negative experience: I received two separate displays or flowers both in a glass vase within 3 weeks of each other. The first display lasted for almost 3 weeks, the second display lasted just 4 days. In fact the first arrangement over took the second display. I don't know how much they cost as clearly they were gifts. However, I'm sure they weren't cheap and I would hate my friend who sent the second display to know how short lived the flowers were. They were disappointing but looked lovely when they arrived.
Fantastic experience: Ordered a bunch of Lillies as last minuite birthday gift for a close friend and they delivered them a few hours later. Great service .
Negative experience: What a shame this second rate florist in our fine city gets orders from abroad. As can be seen from my photograph the lilies were too large for the small arrangement and within a day completely covered the rest of the arrangement. Absolutely no style or competence by the florist and who used boring and cheap flowers. They were asked to call to arrange a delivery which they failed to do and my unwrapped arrangement was left with a neighbour. Appalling... so when taking an order in the rest of the world ...please look for a florist more worthy of our city
Negative experience: Ordered this online and wrote a comment about delivery in the box. I assumed this would be acted upon. I asked for a delivery if possible before 10am. Heard nothing so assumed it would be ok. At 11.45am still no flowers so I called the shop. A young girl answered with a 'don't want to be here' tone. Explained to the 2nd staff member my issue and very politely was told that it isn't possible to deliver anywhere before 10am. This is fine, however, I feel this should be noted on the website. I was then told my postcode was last on the 3 postcode delivery list. Flowers arrived gone 2pm. Half the birthday over and when they did arrive I have to say they didn't look anything special. Quite disappointed. My daughter bought my mum a large bouquet from Tesco, half the price and looked twice as good. Will not use again.

Negative experience: Very disappointed. My husband had flowers delivered to me via inter flora and they were awful, the arrangement looked nothing like he ordered, half of what was shown on the picture wasn't there. The card was illegible and I had to text him to ask what it was supposed to say. The flowers started to die pretty much straight away, some were in the bin by the next day and none made it to day 5. Have complained to inter flora but they're not interested and have only offered us a £10 discount towards future flowers, would never order again!
Negative experience: I approached Margaret Emms florist to provide three sprays from immediate family for my Mum’s coffin. I had a lengthy discussion with Mary Murray who appeared helpful and aware of our requirements. She assured me that we would be satisfied with the flowers provided. We were so upset when we saw the sprays displayed on the coffin. The sprays did not look fresh. Whilst the large roses chosen were beautiful some of the smaller flowers appeared past their best and starting to wilt spoiling the overall look of the sprays. After contacting Mary Murray the next day by telephone to complain and several subsequent emails, in October she offered to resolve the dispute by sending a donation to East Anglian Childrens Hospice. I agreed to this but requested that EACH be asked to send me confirmation of the donation and the amount donated. After four months I have not yet received confirmation of this donation, and as far as I can ascertain this donation has not been given. We feel badly let down by the service that we have received from Margaret Emms whose terms and conditions states they ensure freshness and quality at all times and guarantee complete satisfaction.
Fantastic experience: Place order at 11.17am and received the flowers at 12.51! Cheaper delivery charge than Interflora. Wife loves the flowers! All Win, great service!!

We live in Singapore so each year we contact Margaret Emms to send my mother flowers on her birthday and Mothers Day. Each year my mother receives beautiful orchids which remind here of her visits here. It is good to have a florist you can trust to always send fresh beautiful flowers when you live so far away. Fantastic experience: I can't rate them enough. After putting a rushed order through after the death of my best friends father I put the wrong address. After a few phone calls they sorted the whole thing for me and were just so lovely! Same day delivery even with my mistake and I only ordered late morning! Negative experience: Poor Service, Our family ordered flowers for a funeral and we did not receive the size flowers we paid for. When this was bought to her attention she was very rude and un-professional, her comments to this poor review on her facebook account is a perfect example of this. Absolutely disgusting behaviour accusing a bereaved person of blackmail and wanting free flowers. Flowers were not up to standard and no customer service. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
Fantastic experience: I used Margaret Emms recently for my wedding and found them to be very professional indeed even though they were dealing with an intensely difficult customer while i was in the shop. Apparently this difficult customer has left a damning review on here claiming that her flowers were not large enough. I was inside the shop while this lady phoned to complain and she did so with such venom a prison guard would be scared!! I have always been extremely happy with both the service and the flowers from this business. Please ignore the unreasonable reviews on here, its a great little business.
Fantastic experience: Myself and my family were extremely impressed with the service received from Mary and her team. The flowers for my Stepdad's funeral were stunning and were made just as we had ordered. A very pleasant experience and will use again!!

Negative experience: Flowers were not as ordered. Very small and not the size quoted. Very poor customer service, rude and extremely unhelpful. Don't bother using her, use another florist in the area, I certainly will next time!
Negative experience: Appalling service, very disappointing experience, Flowers were not the correct size as ordered, when I called to make her aware of it she would not accept that the wrong size had been sent even though 5 other people at the funeral said they are smaller than the size we ordered 70cm by 40cm, she (Mary) also spelt two words incorrectly on the card attached to the flowers, even though we confirmed the spelling with her and read it out twice, very disappointing experience, she is never wrong!!!
Negative experience: ordered flowers for girlfriend paid almost £40 for an extra large bag first they delivered it to my neighbours didnt even come to my address and the flowers were not large were quite small, not worth the money i paid!!!!"
Fantastic experience: I have ordered two sets of flowers from Margaret Emms - one for my mother's 70th birthday, and one for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. They have both been wonderful - delivered on time, and presented beautifully. The Margaret Emms team are extremely helpful in sorting out small details, such as a 50th anniversary balloon. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I have ordered flowers from Margaret Emms on many occasions. Most recently for my mum on Mothers Day. She was extremely happy with them. 2 weeks later I purchased another bunch for her and was surprised to see when I went back to my mums, the first bunch still going strong on the kitchen table! If you want quality flowers that last, this is the place to go!

Fantastic experience: I used Margaret Emms to order some flowers for valentines day and was unsure what to order other than traditional red roses. However i was expertly advised as to the different options available and so selected a bouquet which matched my budget. The flowers were delivered on time and looked absolutely fabulous and amazingly lasted for over two weeks! I will definitely be using Margaret Emms again.
