Fantastic experience: My whānau and I have been lucky enough to use Four Seasons Florist in Newtown, Wellington now for over 20 years. Laura does extraordinary flowers, with love and care. Her generous bouquets have been part of all of our significant whānau occasions and we are so grateful. A rare find, and amazing value.

Negative experience: Do NOT use this company, the florist is EXTREMELY rude, very abusive, the rudest person I have EVER had to deal with! I am left in shock as to her unprofessionalism, her manners were absolutely appalling, she she NOT be working with a special entitiy like flowers. We will NOT be using this woman, she does not know how to gain customers or business. I have never been spoken to like that before and I am left very upset and frustrated as I did absolutely nothing wrong!

Never once have i seen a post so negative about Laura Newcombes self. She is generous helpful and will enquire about said situation flowers are for. May be you were not having a good day. So thought ill get that florist back... I hope you have a good new year.

Negative experience: Laura’s flowers have always been beautiful and excellent value. Over the past three years we’ve ordered several arrangements from her and have always been pleased with the results. Recently, I attempted to place a large order for my father’s birthday communicating with Laura entirely via email at first. She later asked me to call her to discuss the details. During our conversation she realised that I wasn’t a local customer and declined to fulfil my order stating that she preferred I support local businesses, she then ended the call rather abruptly. Confused I called back to confirm that I’d understood correctly. When I asked Laura to clarify whether she was refusing my order solely because I wasn’t local, she became verbally aggressive calling me “entitled” and insisting that it was her business and she could run it as she wished. Fair enough but I was genuinely shocked by her response as I had never been aware that her services were limited to local customers. Laura, if you happen to read this please remember that there are kinder and more respectful ways to decline business. Courtesy costs nothing, and kindness goes a long way!!!

Fantastic experience: Over 10 years ago I received the most beautiful stunning big box of flowers from Four Seasons, sent to me by my sister. They bought tears to me eyes. Since then, Four Seasons have been my go to florist when ordering flowers for those special people and occasions. I always order the Waterfilled Box , and Four Seasons continue to be so generous with the quality and quality of their flowers . Including a little bouquet tied to the front of the box. Last week I ordered flowers for my daughters birthday and she was delighted by the surprise . She has split the flowers into two vases , and a little bouquet.... once again full of gorgeous blooms . Great value , excellent customer service and quick delivery .

Fantastic experience: I have used Laura’s fantastic creativity numerous times over my many years working across the road at Wellington Hospital. I popped in to Four Seasons last week on the off chance I could buy some lillies. Laura sold me a 5 stem bunch of beautiful fresh lillies which have still not all opened. They will last another fortnight giving us joy and making our home smell amazing. Oh and she’s always such a positive and welcoming florist.

Negative experience: Utterly appalling experience with Laura after a bereavement. The bouquet was sent to someone else’s address and the “customer service” response was a masterclass in gaslighting, emotional guilt tripping and accusations of being “unreasonable” when we asked if the bouquet could be collected from the address it was sent to and redirected to us. The lowest point, was a tirade of abusive suggestions made that we were disrespecting our loved one’s memory and were “disgusting”. Avoid at all costs, especially during difficult times. Subpar service and toxic customer “care” make Laura a florist to steer well clear of.

Fantastic experience: We've used Four Seasons Florist a couple of times in the last three years. Their 'Joyfulness' bouquet is our favorite. This year, we ordered the elite bouquet for a wedding anniversary, and we loved it. So did the recipient.

Negative experience: Quite a rude lady who had not customer service skills when refusing to take an order. I accept that she might be too busy, but the way she spoke to me was rude as she walked off into the back room in an impolite manner.

Fantastic experience: By far the most nicest Florist in Wellington. She was amazing! Customer service was top notch. I went in 2 hours before hand with a rush job of needing a wreath for a funeral and she just exceeded all my expectations. She made my flowers under and hour and a half. I paid 150 for wreath last time, somewhere else, and it was so small with hardly any flowers, but here, for $150, it was amazing! Flowers were fresh and the wreath itself to me was massive! If your wanting beautiful flowers, please come here! She is super wonderful and her business speaks for itself! Very warm and inviting!!! My new favourite florist for everything! Thank you!!!!

I asked about different bouquet options and sizes, owner got agitated, told me to go somewhere else, and hung up. Took my business elsewhere and will continue to do so.

Negative experience: The owner came out of the shop and yelled at me for parking my scooter by her shop window. It was a while ago but reading some of the other reviews it seems she has anger issues - so thought I'd share as it ruined my day.

Fantastic experience: Whether for sad or joyous occasions Laura always picks the perfect flowers with stunning arrangements. Can not recommend highly enough.

Negative experience: I ordered a bucket of flower. The next day when i went to pick up, she gave me an old bunch of flowere which i had say no before and she charged me full price whiout giving me a card which is free and didnt gave the disposae pot and the small bunch of flower and she charged full price and was very rude to me.

Fantastic experience: Former Wellingtonians, we ordered a bunch of flowers for our neighbours' daughter who is graduating from Victoria University. She was over the moon with the flowers. We always use Four Seasons for our Wellington friends and family and have done so for years. They never disappoint

Negative experience: Nice flowers but you have to deal with the owner who might yell at you about how much she hates bicycles.

Fantastic experience: Another superb bouquet! I went for the florist’s choice and was impressed to receive a scent-full, elegant selection of pinks, mauves and deep purples. Four Seasons is always great value; I can barely get my arms around this bunch!

Negative experience: My mum and I had been supporting this store for years until we got verbally abused one day by the owner. We had called up to organise some flowers but was spoken to in the most disgusting tone, stating she didn’t need our support anymore and she didn’t care if we had been supporting her for years but we needed to get a life and find somewhere else?? This was in response to asking if she had time to do a bunch of flowers for that day. Have never been back since, but not surprised other people are getting verbally abused by her!

Negative experience: Worst customer experience ever. I went in during the day, was told to come back later, left an order, came back one hour after they said it’d be ready, only to be told they’d sold the flowers. When I asked why they didn’t just call me, was told they were too busy. Begs the question, why’d they ask me for my phone number… when I said that doesn’t sound like a smart business model, proceeded to mock me back like a five year old. Do not shop here!!!

Negative experience: Staff extremely rude !!! Asked if they had any roses or Lillie’s which I could see in the shop Woman loudly wave her arm at me saying better go to countdown down the road if that was what I wanted! I wouldn’t recommend this florist to anyone

Negative experience: Buyer beware. The flowers are great. The service however, isn’t great for online orders. The website advertises for Wellington & Outer Suburbs delivery but then they email you and ask for an additional payment. Not even a phone call. When I called to clarify the owner Laura said she didn’t want to do my order and cancelled it even though I didn’t want to, then the phone call ended abruptly. It was really disappointing.

Negative experience: I had a very Bad Experience with this Florist, Laura the Owner is very Rude and hanged up on me Twice when I was just trying to explain myself. She is thinking she can say anything now to customers because she has been in the Industry for 27 Years , that's Incorrect, You need to be humble with customers. you may be doing a good job in terms of Flowers but you need to learn to be Kind and Respectful to others, and so is her staff rude and has no Respect.Think twice before going to their shop they may treat you like Rubbish..

Fantastic experience: The absolutely amazing lady that served me was obviously slammed with orders but still took the time to stop her work and help me choose a bouquet AND gave me some ribbon for a Christmas present wrapping without me asking. Negative experience: While shopping and texting a friend of mine (who is locked down in Auckland) to look for some flowers, I was told I was 'ridiculous' for being on my phone and then asked to leave. Not only was the overall service appalling but it was the first time I had ever been spoken to so rudely. Disgusting behavior. Would not recommend this place, countdown up the road had a better selection and far better service for paying customers.

Negative experience: We had ordered 2 large boquets for our wedding, two weeks earlier. I popped in the morning before the wedding to see if we could buy a few extra flowers for the wedding cake. Laura the owner seemed to regard this as a big waste of her time and an intrusion, and was rude from the outset. I quickly discovered that they didn’t have the flowers we had ordered, and that they had not bothered to let us know. When I complained about this, politely, I was met with a tirade of abuse and told to f-off repeatedly! Left very disappointed by extremely poor service, and frank abuse. We have spoken to several other people lately who have had similar bad experiences. I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy!

Negative experience: Rang to give calm polite feedback over a bouquet that sadly didn't come close to what was ordered and got Laura, who despite me attempting to assure her repeatedly I was very grateful for the arrangement, and previously my husband being happy with her own work, she just pounced from the get go and was horribly aggreesive and rude, with constant references to them being "too busy" to deal with "individual requirement" or "fussy" customers, which truly baffled me. Before even getting past my initial assurances that I still found what was presented as beautiful (they are flowers after all), she was over talking me and dismissively telling me she was quite happy to no longer have our custom. The whole thing just got weirder. About an hour after the call she rang my husband and was horrid to him too. If you don't care what gets sent, then sure all good for the money, but if you want something special, don't bother. Plus nasty customer service, beware!!

I've used them several time and I've always been super impressed with their whole experience; order taking, coordinating a time, and most important quality and delivery. While I should probably call and thank them personally, I hope they will read this and know how grateful I am (ok now I do need to call them).
