Negative experience: I ordered the premium graduation flowers today and honestly it was so disappointing for the price :( I paid $120 for a bouquet, and it was smaller and less extravagant than the ones that were pre made on display for ~$75 outside. The colours were rlly pretty but for the price I really expected more than 2 handfuls of flower. It wilted within 2 hours too which hasnt happened with the other bouquet i got from another store. After seeing the flowers other graduates received from other shops I felt really ripped off

Negative experience: Probably my 4th time buying flowers from there but this time was probably my worst experience. Price gone up understandably but was slightly more expensive than other shops around. What I did not like this time was the poor customer service. The lady in the shop was not friendly and approachable. I did not feel welcomed when I walked in there. I remember they have better service in the older shop and quality just deteriorated. Given this experience, I would consider going to other shops.

Negative experience: Not worth the money. I bought a bouquet for $115 and while the flowers were pretty, there were barely any of them (worth maybe 70-80 dollars worth at a normal shop), and it was heavily padded with greens to make it seem big. The wrapping degraded in like 20 minutes without much being done to it at all. Shop around for a better florist, for the price I paid I would have expected more flowers and less greens.

Negative experience: I most definitely will not be coming back to this place.The flowers I purchased were gorgeous; however, the customer service left much to be desired. The person I dealt with was dismissive, condescending, and quite rude. I was left with the strong impression that my business was not welcome here.

Fantastic experience: Great service, called when the courier could not deliver. I had got the address wrong and they were so great and got them redelivered so my mum got her Mother’s Day flowers A+++

Positive experience: The floral received were beautiful for a wedding, but the lady over the phone and in person was very rude, for customers that don't know flowers and need a little help with the difference in bridal bouquet, we found her rude and unfair. We won't be going back.

Positive experience: The flowers were beautiful for sure, nice fancy selection & arrangement, stunning, but I couldn't help but feel like I was kinda sorta swindled a little because I ordered 2 LARGE bouquets, at 100$ each, and well they were so small and consisted mostly of just a huge amount of leaves... Photo is showing both bouquets put together... after I removed all the foliage. Now that's a large. Not 2. I know some greenery is important in presentation, and the type of flowers matters in cost too, but still, I was just a bit disappointed. I guess I expected more for the price.

Negative experience: Despite of their collection. Customer service skills are zero in store. Very rude. I been there two times to get some house plants and the staff was rude. Didn’t even greet me properly. Yesterday I went after their closing time which I didn’t even notice because they have no signs of close at the front. I entered and the lady was still there, I thought the shop is still open, and the way she told me was very very rude. Even before this, I went there two times to shop in the hours and received the same kind of service from them. Disappointed

Positive experience: Flowers were delivered same day which was great, but the flowers and colours looked nothing like the photos on the website. Although nice, for a $100+ arrangement I expected the photo to be accurate. (Website photo vs real photo)

Negative experience: Flower shop fleeced a customer by selling exactly 2 identical arrangements despite being asked to make two different bouquets, as the recipient was the same person but the flowers were for 2 very distinct occasions, just a day apart. Such mistakes convey lack of any care for customers, cheapened the celebrations by arranging a clone of a clone of a bouquet and took the person paying for a fool by arguing arrangements were distinct. The only distinction was your total lack of any care, lack of ability to listen and follow a simple request. Pitiful, even the wrapping and the ribbon were exactly same colours and style. Just the bill was a double charge. Uncaring, unprofessional, dishonest. Awaiting a reversal of one of the charges, as the recipient did not deserve to be treated with such carelessness and outright contempt. No more amaryllis for me. Ruined both occasions. **Addendum: Worse, tried to blame customer for own debacle and gave a partial refund only. In their written response, although tried to apologise, store still claims customer was at fault, while not seeing that a request was not followed for 2 different bouquets. It's not worth wasting any more time on this issue, as flower shop just wants to insist the customer, should, could ect.....,rather than dealing with what has occurred and rectifying this. FYI, the flowers were picked by someone else, the order was discussed thoroughly with the staff, flowers were preordered so as not to stand idle in the store waiting for order to be prepared, and especially since there is no convenient or easily available parking nearby, it was just right to walk in and pick up flowers, rather than reading in your resonse, what was wrong with the customer. Original mishap was bad but to continue this issue is unprofessional, unprofessional, unprofessional

It was wonderful to get notification that the flowers were ready to be delivered, and that they had been delivered on the day that I organised. Fantastic experience: I ordered a single red rose online from the UK, which was straightforward and easy. There was great communication, with emails updating me on my order and even letting me know when my rose had been delivered. The rose itself was perfect, and came with some gorgeous foliage, it was better than I imagined. Great service, beautiful bouquet, highly recommended.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed in my purchase. This medium sized bunch of flowers cost $72.50 to be delivered to my friend on her 40th birthday. Flowers were beautiful but inaccurate on size&quantity compared to similar choices on Amaryliss website with much lower value. Be careful when ordering from Amaryllis that you are fully aware of what you're paying for as Manager was unhelpful, rude and unwilling to discuss further when I called to express my disappointment.

Positive experience: Apparently the flowers were nice. Unfortunately they were not delivered on the Wednesday specified, despite being ordered on the Monday morning. When I emailed about this I got no response, and when I called, the lady who answered said she didn’t know anything but she would send a new bunch and get back to me as to what happened (so far, 5 days later, this has not happened). So although the flowers were apparently nice, there are many florists in Dunedin who will make a nice bunch of flowers that are actually delivered to the recipient. I wouldn’t order from them again.

I was told that the flowers would be dispatched at 1 p.m. At 1:19 p.m., I received a very happy text & photo from our friend. Flowers had arrived! I needed a non allergenic plant or flower for someone in hospital and Amaryllis supplied a beautiful orchid absolute top quality I was updated each step of the way by email including when it had been delivered, beyond the wonderful first point of contact and product I had accidentally addressed my order to the wrong hospital however the lovely ladies from Amaryllis called ahead to ensure I had the right hospital before couriering my order and tracked down my loved one at a different hospital fixing my mistake before I had even noticed and tried to notify them. I done my due diligence before ordering from a florist that is 300k's away and absolutely recommend anyone looking for a local kiwi run company that is not a chain florist who care about their product and customers please use Amaryllis I know I will be if I ever find myself ordering flowers in Dunedin again <3 *Edited second review below* Another wonderful experience, Susan is so lovely, is prompt with communication and gifted in her art. I will not go to another florist in Dunedin again and only wish Amaryllis was my local florist, in saying that I'm based a few hundred kilometers away and value the trust Susan has helped build for myself using her business so if trust, communication, value, style and kiwi owner operated rank among your top requirements in a small business then don't consider anywhere else. I will be back again Susan (even though my union have a %25 discount with another florist in Dunedin, not even a cost savings could take my custom elsewhere) thank you for the service you provide.
