Positive experience: My husband sent me an arangement to my work. It was supposed to be a surprise to be delivered BEFORE 5pm, which is when I leave. The surprise was ruined when he asked me if I got my flowers and I said i never got any. Well the delivery was very late. It wasn't until 5:30 that it got delivered. I wouldnt have gotten them if i had left right at 5pm. I only stayed because i had a work event. The flowers were very pretty but it was sad i couldnt show off my surprise as well.

Negative experience: This florist was recommended to me, but I can’t recommend them for same day delivery. I ordered before they opened and was told the flowers would be delivered before 5, but they arrived late and ruined the surprise for my wife.

Negative experience: If I could put 0, I would. No one cares anymore, not even a florist. It's unfortunate that what is advertised is not what you get. Not even similar. Very, very disappointed. It's sad. I'm appalled. Open picture and see what was advertised and see what was delivered. They took advantage of me. Wanted beautiful bright fall colors, got out of season mess. $100 for what mums, carnations, 4 pink roses and filler. Not even one lily or dianthus. Wow. SMH. ☹️

Fantastic experience: I was designated to find a corsage for prom just 4 hours before arrival time. What a task! I called 10 florists only to be told, "sorry, we need a few day's notice" or "I can't due to prior obligations", etc. After performing another internet search I discovered "Gingerbread House". I called and asked if they could make the corsage with such short notice? The friendly lady I talked to saved the day! And she had it ready in an hour.! She crafted a beautiful and fragrant wristlet corsage with white roses. It was the perfect accessory. I highly recommend Gingerbread House, not only for assisting at the last minute, but also for the the exemplary customer service.

Negative experience: This was the $65.99 "Florist's special." I don't see much that is special about this arrangement. I was disappointed in the cheapness of the arrangement when this was the photo that my friend sent.

Fantastic experience: My husband ordered flowers to celebrate our anniversary from Gingerbread House. Not only was the arrangement absolutely stunning, but my husband had a great experience with the order and delivery. The owner hand-delivered the flowers to my workplace and was so helpful and kind. I will definitely order flowers from here in the future!

Negative experience: Florist sent an arrangement with dead flowers & wilted greens for Valentine's Day. My wife was so disappointed and contacted the florist to express her displeasure. The florist, who constantly said customer satisfaction is her priority, was so rude to my wife. She never once apologized for the way that the arrangement looked OR that my wife was displeased. We are still in the process of waiting for a refund. From now on, we will only use Fallon's for our flower needs.

Negative experience: Paid a lot of money for these Was expecting a better bouquet for $63

Fantastic experience: We are in Arizona, my in-laws live in Raleigh. I ordered Christmas flowers on-line for them. I wanted to use a local shop. On line I did “designers choice”. They did not disappoint!! Thank you so much. It is beautiful. It goes perfect on their dining room table. Also the arrangement was delivered before 11am. Everything worked out great!! Thank you again. They love it!!!

Fantastic experience: I have used Gingerbread Florist on a weekly basis virtually from the time it opened decades ago under Laura Scott. I could not imagine that the new owner, Andry de Gamez, could maintain the same high quality of floral arrangements. Thankfully, I was wrong. The arrangements are marvelous and the quality excellent. A single rose, maintained as directed, easily lasts a week for my wife. Well done Andry!

Negative experience: VERY UNHAPPY!! We have used this florist for decades. Always received 5* rated flowers. Though this time our daughter's SMALL ElEGANT bouquet for a simple "courthouse" ceremony turned out to be a HUGE monsterous center piece!! I also started she was 5'2" and 100#s. She never got to use it. To top of it all off, I wanted ONLY ivory and cream flowers ....they put tons of pink in it!! I called the store to complain. She said she would tell the owner....I never got a call from her or anything....VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED ☹️

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of recently dealing with Laura and Valerie, an extraordinary mother-daughter pair that aims to please! You ladies were the best. I called from 2000 miles away for a next day delivery, and not only were the flowers absolutely wonderful, but Laura and Valerie helped me hide a special surprise gift inside the bouquet itself. Valerie printed out plane tickets, rolled them up like a scroll, and tucked them deep into the flowers for my special someone. And it worked like a charm! She accepted the invite to travel together, and we are both headed to Mexico tomorrow, which is why I thought to write this review. Thank you both for the great service! I'll be sure to recommend Gingerbread for the wedding one day ;) UPDATE: 9 years later we are happily married, just had our first kid, and she still talks about that flower delivery. Had we gotten married in Raleigh, I would have come here for the flowers. Lots of love for this shop and the women that made it happen all those years ago. <3

When they could not confirm for me, I reached out to Gingerbread House and they were able to answer all my questions and consult with me the week of the event! Negative experience: Beautiful website, so I thought they would make me a wonderful balloon bouquet for my brother & sis-in-law 50th anniversary! What a shame they have this person answering the phone (who said she was the boss (NOT). First of all, I had to ask "is this Gingerbread Florist?", as she mumbled. Then yes, they do balloon bouquets. Then, they have no GOLD balloons, so, I said what about a 5 and a 0 and a few Anniversary balloons? "We have no number balloons". What? What do you do when there is a request for a 5 yr old birthday party??? She mumbled some answer and I asked for the Owner. She said "I am the Owner!". I just hung up. Such a terrible experience and customer service.

They were all very welcoming and nice and picked out all the right flowers. You can tell they put in a lot of time and hard work and we are very pleased with our experience!

Negative experience: We had flowers delivered to our business on a day we were closed. They sat outside over night and today (two days later) the lilies are dying. Called to let the business know and the person who answered the phone had an attitude and said 'sorry'....We said 'just sorry?' and then they hung up on us! Unprofessional and rude!

Positive experience: I ordered flowers for it sister who had just finished her last round of radiation. The arrangement on the website shows 6 roses and hers only had 4. When I called, the lady (Andri ?) said she doesn't know what happened because when they left their shop, it had 6 roses. She wasn't implying my sister removed 2 of them, but could offer no other explanation or compensation other than giving me a credit of $8 ($4 per rose)! My sister loves the arrangement regardless, but this is very deceptive marketing. I purposely ordered from their website vs an online franchise and am just very disappointed. The first two is what she got compared to the last one which I paid for.

Fantastic experience: I recently used this florist to send a birthday bouquet to a friend- and they did not disappoint. I called and told them make something bright and beautiful for my friend’s birthday. It was perfect. It was delivered on time and he absolutely loved them. I will definitely be using them again for other occasions! So glad I have found them.

Negative experience: I ordered for my wife for international women's day and paid > $20 some dollars for quick delivery. The person at the counter said would be delivered before 10 am next day. I had to call multiple times, next day when I spoke to them they said hey we just got here and acted all surprised. Regardless it did not show up as planned and they never even brought up refunding the $20 extra I paid for delivery.

Negative experience: BUYER BEWARE: If I could give zero stars I would. I called earlier this am and explicitly stated I needed a very special delivery by the end of the day today. When I noticed it hadn't been received at least 1.5 hours BEFORE closing time, I called again to double check that it was on the delivery truck and the person I spoke to assured me it would be delivered by end of day today. Low and behold I get a call close to 1 hour before closing time saying they had to wait until the morning but they would still charge me the $20 delivery fee. I said there was no way I would pay that much since the onus was on them. They tried to negotiate down to $10.95 but wouldn't budge since they made an error x 2. They canceled my order without asking me if that was ok and that is NOT ok. I am glad they won't have a dime from me in the end but what an awful way to do business. So incredibly disappointing. Response to owner's response: This is exactly where I purchased flowers. I would not post such a review on the incorrect owner's business. Please take responsibility for your actions or at the very least, apologize.

Negative experience: I ordered flowers that costed $55.99, chocolate and a balloon for my mom's birthday. The flowers were grocery store quality and had different flowers and a different vase from the photo. The small lindt chocolate was $15 and the small balloon was $6. Overall, the price versus what you get is not matched. I will say that they delivered on the right day.

Negative experience: I ordered Mother’s Day flowers which were never received. I understand with it being a holiday, shop may have been busy and wasn’t able to attend to the order. That’s fine. But I tried following up with an email and never received a response. I also tried calling and the line was always busy. To this day, I still haven’t heard back in regards to the issue. I wanted to support a local shop, but I guess next time I’ll just use flowerama.

Negative experience: My Aunt called me on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 to see if I received my birthday flowers. Unfortunately, the flowers were delivered that day but the Florist did not communicate with my Aunt or me. I had to track down the flowers. I called the florist on May 11, 2022 and I was informed that the flowers were delivered on May 10, 2022 and they were placed outside of the building. That was unacceptable to me. The house manager, Natalie, was not friendly or helpful and declined to accept responsibility for the situation. I would not recommend this florist.

Negative experience: I placed an order for Mother’s Day and was very disappointed. The actual arrangement delivered to my mom had roughly half of the flowers that they represented on the website picture, with a ton of filler greenery instead. This was overt deceptive marketing. Also note that when you shop their flowers it will divert you to Telefora and the premium option is the default; you must manually change it to standard to see what the standard base option looks like. When I brought this to the owner’s attention I originally was offered a choice between a refund of my $25 in fees (this was a $125 arrangement plus $25 in fees) or an option for them literally to come bother my mom and pick up the already-delivered flowers, take them back to the shop to add more flowers, and then bring them back! When I wrote back that I would prefer they offer a more substantial refund to make what was delivered more in line with an appropriate price point but would do the other option if not, they then ignored me, meanwhile leaving my mom waiting to hear about the details. Update: following this review I was provided a full refund.

Negative experience: Charged my card and then when i called to check if my order had been delivered, they told me they weren’t gonna deliver it because it was too far. On the same day of the delivery, when I had ordered 10 days in advance! Never got an email saying my order was rejected, never got a credit back into my bank, when i called the owner she was very rude and totally dismissed the fact that there was still a charge in my account denying saying she had no charge on her record. Sat back and forth on the phone with me and refused to help. Very unprofessional

Negative experience: The arrangement I ordered for my mother's funeral this past Saturday arrived with a few flowers drooping. It needed water and the chaplain was kind enough to do so before we got there. By yesterday, one day later, the arrangement was barely hanging in there with all of the flowers drooped or beginning to. The arrangement was beautiful but we are very disappointed that they died so quickly.

Fantastic experience: We always use them for flowers for my daughters’ dances and they always do a great job. For senior prom they were able to take an inspiration picture and turn it into beautiful coordinating bouquet/boutonnière!

Negative experience: In my opinion this is one of the absolute worst petal shops you can use. I call it a petal shop because only professionals deserve the title of Florist which they are not!!! I made an online order for delivery at approximately 10:00 am this morning. It stated plainly on the address that they were delivering to a place business so you would think they would have enough common sense to have the florals delivered well before 5:00 pm. It is now 4:36 and I have YET to receive my order! I called at 2:56 pm today to check on the order because it had not yet been delivered and they had the nerve to try to get an attitude with me because of their lack professionalism! It states online that they close at 6:00pm & I've been calling back to back since 4:30 and it just goes straight to voicemail. I recorded the phone call that I had with them earlier & if this needs to be used at a later date due to lack of service, It will be used!! In a time where businesses need to put their best foot forward, this so called business is barely crawling in my opinion!!

Negative experience: NO, NO, NO - buyer beware Had to cancel my order. Ordered flowers for my wife’s 50th birthday and requested a morning delivery because we were traveling and wanted flowers to arrive. When the flowers hadn’t arrived by 1pm I called and was told that they would be 1st on the next delivery route. By 3pm they still had not arrived and I called again only to be told the driver gets to make his own routes and they’d arrive by 6pm (which was too late). EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the service and customer service at this florist. Was unwilling to make it right, and argued with me that they were not at fault. Buyer beware.

Negative experience: THE BOUQUET COST 78.17 - it is pictured. If I could rate a zero i would. The florist called to ask if they could deliver the flowers the next day because they were waiting for the right flowers. I told them sure, if they made it extra nice. (For my mom for nurses week and mothers day) Not only did it look lack the flowers and color of the requested boquet- the flowers were wilted and it looked like a beginners bouquet. The quality was horrible. When I tried to have it fixed- they were unable to help telling me it looks like the photo. Poor customer service. I still can't figure out how the bouquet cost 80.00.

Fantastic experience: I can not express how much I love and adore Gingerbread House Florist! They made all my last minute, budget bride dreams come true. I wanted an all white simple and small bridal bouquet, and OMG she delivered! It was P-E-R-F-E-C-T! She took the time to listen to all of my request, and made sure have my flowers ready for plenty of time and no stress on my big day. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for amazing flower and impeccable service!

Negative experience: I am so upset with Gingerbread house florist. My husband just died last week. My girlfriend did research for best florist. Ordered from Gingerbread house. Received them Thursday. White lilies died in 2 days. There were 3. First one died Sat. The other 2 died Mon. I have other arrangements that the lillies are still living. I called Gingerbread and spoke to a young lady who was very unprofessional. Said it wasn't there fault! Said it must have been the water! Well, you put the water in, I replied. I asked to speak to the manager. She said she was the manager!! Told me her name was Kate. When I asked for the owners name and number, she said now why would I give you that!! Can you believe this! I told her my husband just died and I really don't want to argue with her. Anyway I look up the owners name and it's Laura Scott. I thought they would just happily replace those lillies. But no, certainly not Kate or whatever her name might be (I doubt she gave me her real name). Never buy from them again and never recommend them. Terrible service. I do hope that Ms Scott reads this.

Negative experience: I rarely write reviews but this is the worst flower delivery experience ever. The flowers didn't arrive on time (they were ordered for a 40th birthday but arrived a day late), the recipient of the flowers instead me who ordered them was contacted multiple times and each time given an incorrect ETA (she was told evening and the flowers arrived next day). To top it off the flowers don't match the pictures. If you can't provide quality service during these times then let the customers know and reflect the quality in your prices. I've never been more disappointed.

Negative experience: Horrific experience for Mother's Day this year. I called and spoke to a very young sounding, inexperienced person on the phone. After 15 minutes on the phone i was able to order flowers for mother's day delivery, to only have them not show up. I called following day and was told my order was lost and now they don't have the flowers for the arrangement. Terrible customer service, terrible experience.
