Experiencia positiva: I’ve been meaning to write a review since i purchased a plant as a gift here last year. Prices are a little higher than other places, however, the plants are kept in much better condition than say for example Home Depot. and while they do have multiple locations, they ARE a small business not owned by private equity or a larger corporation. for that reason alone i think they are worth stopping by and supporting :) (ceramic pot in picture was purchased at the store with the money tree)

Immediate assistance via text and constant communication and updates to purchase a new large plant in a pot that I was told at first was not available, But they were able to get the pot I asked for the next day. The plant is in peak health and was delivered beautifully on time in perfect condition. I look forward to happy years together with my new beautiful plant.

He said between 4:00p-8:00p and they arrived at 7:00p. And the bouquet was even better in person! Definitely will call on their services/skills again.

I feel like I do after an amazing therapy appointment. If you are feeling down and need a boost not just from caffeine, come here and I guarantee you will feel so much better. You can tell that they genuinely enjoy each other and their customers. Their joy is infectious. Thanks so much you guys! This is my new favorite spot. I feel like I've made two new friends.

My sister tried the ginger cha (combination of ginger chai and matcha) and she loved it as well. The baristas were very kind. This place as quite busy but the service was fast!

Experiencia negativa: Honestly, super disappointed. I took one of my plants here just for a soil change, and the soil they used was full of bugs and little flies. Now that plant is crawling with them and, even worse, the pests spread to my other plants at home. Total nightmare. If you care about your plants, don’t take them there.

You can tell they genuinely care about plants and flowers and want to help you take care of your own plants as best as possible. I've brought in a plant I was convinced I was accidentally ruining, and they helped me understand what I can do to help bring it back to good health. It's now thriving. Also appreciate that they offer re-potting services at fair prices.

Check out my Insta: whereismayling VIBE: Definitely a pretty spot with plants all around to make sure you have plenty of oxygen for writing. I’ve been here during the week and on the weekend. It’s quieter during the week. There is also outdoor seating. SERVICE: Quick, professional, and super efficient. WiFi wasn’t upload speed was particularly strong. 10/10 COFFEE: I ordered decaf Americano with foam milk. The foam art game was lower, but I noticed much stronger foam art on other folks sitting near me. Everyone has a bad moment. The pricing was reasonable. Just over $4 for Americano, Lattes around 5.95. I would say they are dark roast, acidic. I’m a medium roast less acidic kinda gal, so not my goto sort of thing. OVERALL: I liked the spot. It’s not too loud. The flowers absorb some of the sound. Not the most instagramable, but a solid choice for a pleasant place to enjoy coffee and plants together. Def would be consider a “pretty place.”

Experiencia fantástica: Plantshed is a fantastic coffee shop and plant store! I get a cold brew or green tea from them almost daily. The baristas are always incredibly kind and can get through a busy line surprisingly quickly. And if you need a last minute gift the florist can make you a custom bouquet at whatever price point you need. All in all I’m very grateful it’s my local coffee shop.

Experiencia negativa: Baristas are insane. Observed them for about 10 mins calling out each order’s tip amount to each other which definitely means your drink quality will depend on the tip. Never seen anything like this and it’s a shame they behave like this

Plantshed is one of the few coffee shops in the neighborhood with a bathroom. It’s a hot spot for meeting up with friends & dogs are allowed inside! Keep an eye out for their dog treats. Experiencia fantástica: I unfortunately did not take photos, but this is such a remarkable little coffee shop. There is a great selection of plants, and an equally great selection of drinks. The price is a little steep, but you get great portions. The kitchen closes a bit early, and there aren't many outlets, so I wouldn't recommend working from home here, but it's a great place to take a friend and catch up. Very spacey, wonderful service and drinks, and great ambience.

PlantShed is so cute - it has an incredible plant selection, in addition to adorable pots to store your new plant babies in. I was so pleasantly surprised to also see that they carry Wild One products for your doggo (treats, wipes, toys). There is a small coffee shop inside, so you can sip while you browse. Their florals are so, so stunning - my boyfriend had a bouquet of their design delivered to me recently (as pictured in this review), and the arrangement was so beautiful!! :-) The staff are so helpful, too!! This is a great spot on the Upper West Side, I cannot recommend this little shop enough!

I stopped by again to use the bathroom and pick an herbal tea. They gave me a complimentary muffin :) Plantshed has a lively but not noisy atmosphere to unwind, charge your phone, and figure your plans out.

My hair, clothing, my belongings on the table, floor, and wall were soaked with water. At first my friend and I laughed it off, but then I decided to bring it to the baristas attention. He didn't apologize at all and didn't care in the slightest. Horrible customer service and an overpriced latte, will not be going back.

Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful shop with amazing employees! I went in today to get a rainbow bouquet for June. The employee was absolutely fantastic. She helped me build the most perfect rainbow bouquet filled with so many interesting flowers, some of which I’ve never seen before. She even took the time to arrange them for me so all I had to do when I got home was plop them in the vase. It’s literally perfect! Get that girl a raise :) Every time I’ve been here the staff is always so friendly and very informed and helpful.

The employee I spoke with was pretty condescending, which is odd, given that this is a retail environment open to the public and some people are just trying to learn about plant care so they can make an educated purchase. I didn’t feel welcome so I quietly left, but I’ll come back and try speaking with another staff member, or perhaps try another location.

Experiencia fantástica: Hands-down, PlantShed on Columbus is by far not only my favorite plant shop in the city, but favorite plant store ever! Aside from the beautifully organized and displayed plants and accessories, one notices immediately at once, the incredible staff that make this operation run on all cylinders from the time they open to the time they close in the evening. This store is not only my favorite for the lush, well-kept, maintained and beautifully displayed plants of al kinds, but also for the incredible staff,—this store employs some of my favorite people working in the Upper West Side. One of which is River! River is absolutely incredible in all that they do, and all that they go beyond and surpass, within a day of work. From the moment you walk in, River is right there, at your service, rolling the red carpet out for your plant-shopping needs. Incredibly adept at ensuring each of their customers feels uniquely attended to, one would never know just how attentive, meticulous, efficient, and always pleasant, River is not only as a staff-person, but also as a plant aficionado themselves. What’s more, River is not only kind, attentive, and working multiple fronts at once with a smooth kind of effortless ease that only comes with time and season, —but River’s knowledge of these plants, their needs, their care, what’ll work and not work in one’s’ own (often space and lighting challenges) abode. It is not only impressive, River’s knowledge of the product (plants!), but also how quickly they pivot depending on what one might like, might be interested in, not interested in, etc. Never once ever has River ever rushed me (often known to stare at plants for long periods of time in hopes of snagging the perfect one). Beyond River’s horticultural acuity and impressiveness, River always knows the stock of the store — yes we have this, let me show you that, sorry we don’t have this but I can check and see if I’m stock at another location. From choosing a plant to outfitting it with a pot, River is so very kind, warm, and patient. Additionally, River is very much so honest and ethical in their assessments, one of the unique jewels that is the PlantShed staff. River’s concern is always do you have the right home environment for this plant or plants to thrive, if not here’s what you might consider doing, and while you’re thinking let me show you some plants that might fit your space/light needs. Honestly, it’s like having a tour guide through the store, helping the client to hone in on what they should be looking at/for and what might be unrealistic. This is so honorable in an age where consumer culture is more often than not seemingly all about pushing as much product as possible, regardless. The “upsell” is never a feature of PlantShed culture, and something I’ve never experienced from River and other staff. River has always given me the most measured, honest, and practical guidance, even right down to well you can hold off on buying this for now, but you might want to purchase this. If you say planter, River having much of the stock in their head, when couldn’t find the planter I wanted for my 10inch Money Tree, River went down in the basement and got the planter that they felt was not only comparable, but also, would compliment the plant of purchase. In other moments, River has been so supportive pre and post-purchase, especially for those of us who might be first-time house Plant parents in a city ecology that can often be challenging in terms of space as well as light exposure. Even when just coming through to poke my head in, and check-out new stock or new plant accessories, River greets me just the same, as when I’m there to purchase plants ot accessories. Incredibly brilliant at their job, and we’ll adept in a few whole host/variety of plants and their care/needs, River is A-rate and five-stars through and through! PlantShed on Columbus at W87th would be a dimmer version of what it is now without River’s warm, seasoned, and guiding help. What an amazing human, and what an equally amazing staff member.

Experiencia fantástica: PlantShed provides and efficient service with stunning flowers. I used them for Valentine's day and ordered for pick up the next day after 12pm. The flowers are truly beautiful and the staff working there cannot do enough to help you with your order. The shop is also beautiful with a wide range of flowers to choose from. Expect to pay around $50+ for a nice bunch.

Experiencia fantástica: Finally a coffee shop in NYC where you can have an unsweetened Matcha Latte (with unsweetened almond milk) - Also, the scone was yummy and surprisingly not sweet ! definitely my favorite coffee shop in the city - so healthy and so good.
