Negative experience: Many years later, sharing my story of my terrible experience with Rook and Rose through the pandemic. Our destination wedding to Victoria of course had to be cancelled. They had previously insisted I pay a 100% deposit because my order was just under their $1000 minimum before tax. Orders over $1000 require only a 50% deposit. I immediately didn't like this but went along because the flowers are beautiful, not knowing we'd be in lockdown the week after visiting Victoria for my single 15 minute consultation in March 2020 While I understand the industry was gravely affected, not a single one of my other vendors tried to keep my deposit except Rook and Rose. After several tense emails back and forth where they insisted they keep my $1000 "deposit" I got a phone call from Erica. Erica, apparently the owner, was rude and unwilling to compromise. She insisted that I instead use my $1000 to buy vases from her shop (very limited selection, and this had already been clearly declined by email). We were no longer going to have a ceremony on the island and were not able to travel there. And even so, the suggestion that I buy $1000 worth of vases was absurd. I eventually convinced her to return half of my deposit, which was still deeply unsatisfactory and left me with a terrible view of the company. Nothing had been ordered and only a short consultation had been done. $500 for a 15 minute consultation seems pretty greedy, not to mention $1000. While I appreciate I signed a contract about the non-refundable 100% deposit, I would have expected more reasonableness in the circumstances. I did not receive such treatment from any other vendor, including Sea Cider (venue) who graciously handled our cancellation with kindness and reasonable options, despite their loss being much greater. I would never recommend this shop to anyone. The owner will not be interested in working with you if anything goes wrong. I see she has responded to others that they have updated their covid policies. I hope they've started treating their clients with some respect and compassion instead.

Fantastic experience: Erica and her team made my wedding florals dreams come true in August. Erica was so easy to chat with and I truly felt like Rook & Rose understood my vision. They helped us coordinate pickups and drop offs and as we were doing all of our own planning and running around, their flexibility was so appreciated. They were so accommodating with all of my last minute changes and additions and never made me feel annoying despite it being the busiest time of year for them. Our florals looked so gorgeous and kept so fresh despite the crazy hot weather. I couldn’t be happier with our choice to go with my dream florist. Thank you Erica and everyone at Rook & Rose!

Negative experience: Didn't make it past the consultation for wedding flowers. I made an appointment to speak with Erica over the phone, to which she was an hour late without so much as an email or text to give a heads up. Immediate red flag. Erica's energy was off, and she was pretty condescending in general about my vision, budget and overall logistics. Unless you're willing to spend well over 10k on your wedding flowers I would completely avoid this company... You won't be taken seriously.

Fantastic experience: I went in with my girlfriend to get a bouquet done there and then and they couldn’t have done a better job. The person who served was lovely, made an AMAZING bouquet and for $50 it is exquisite. She gave my girlfriend the opportunity to edit it if she wanted but it was so good it didn’t need it

Fantastic experience: We sincerely cannot thank the Rook and Rose team enough for creating our DREAM wedding florals. Truly, they made our day that much more magical and special. Fantastic experience: We worked with Rook & Rose for our wedding and I can't gush enough about the flowers, the team, and the creativity. When I first started planning, I had only a vague idea of a vision and Erica just *got* it. It was just so easy and so lovely working with her and Jennifer. I was (and still am, truthfully) absolutely amazed by the florals, fruit sculptures, and styling. There was a moment at our reception where I just stood to take everything in because I couldn't believe how perfect everything was. Truly exceeded my wildest dreams. I would 100% recommend working with Erica and the team at Rook & Rose <3

Fantastic experience: Rook and Rose provided the florals for our wedding and they turned out so stunning! Not being a florist or living on the island, I feel like we were kept in the loop with the presentations and consultation calls. When the florals were all set up on our wedding day, they looked even more beautiful than we imagined. I was so sad to part ways with them, but am looking forward to seeing my bouquet pressed that I had done by a different vendor on the island so I can keep the florals forever.

Negative experience: Not respectful of the office spaces who rent above them, playing music a level that is disruptive to those who are trying to work. And at that the same awful music on repeat.

Negative experience: I really considered not writing this review. I just wanted my flowers to be decent flowers. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Delivery was made when arranged. Flowers arrived Friday and I thought- “hmm, they look a bit sad”, like they were already wilting. Sunday, half were dead. Monday I pulled all the dead flowers out and dropped the vase off to be refreshed. Tuesday they were dropped off to me and I was surprised that the box was completely water logged, dripping and overflowing with water. The arrangement I was given back was the oddest design and I wasn’t quite sure what to think, except perhaps they threw together something that was available? Thursday they were half dead again. I was offered a discount for a future purchase, but why would I try a third time? Again, staff are lovely, but the flowers are not- at least what I received- an arrangement that didn’t even last 2 days. To note: I also received a stunning bouquet on Sunday from another Market downtown and after 9 days, only one flower has died.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful store and friendly staff, Erica was so helpful and kind she literally saved my wedding bouquet… definitely our to go florist place now..

Fantastic experience: Rook and Rose provided the flowers for my wedding and did a fantastic job. I would 100% recommend them. They sent professional proposal and worked within my budget. I asked them to stick to a bright and colorful scheme with varying heights of flowers and to avoid certain types of flowers which they executed beautifully and better than anything I could have imagined. They were responsive and professional in communication. They were awesome about transporting the flowers to another Gulf Island. The worst part about the wedding was having to leave the flowers behind at the end of the event!

Fantastic experience: Rook & Rose did our wedding florals on July 5, 2024 in Vancouver. I fell in love with their aesthetic on Instagram and decided it had to be them vs. any Vancouver florist. Erica was amazing to work with from start to finish. A beautiful proposal was sent upon detailed initial phone conversation. Honestly, Erica was simply fun to talk to! They executed my elegant and timeless vibe with a fairly modest budget in a way that still felt fresh and modern. They were super creative in how they decorated the ceremony space so that the florals could be repurposed in the reception space. I was told that the flowers looked very “me”. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Rook & Rose was so accommodating when I called 20 minutes past their same day delivery cut off time. I was in a bit of a panic, trying to get flowers to a friend in desperate need of a pick me up, and the team at Rook & Rose didn’t hesitate once to help me out. I was able to get flowers delivered to my friend within 2 hours of calling. I live out of town but frequently get flowers delivered within Victoria and Rook & Rose has me as a loyal customer from now on. Many thanks. ❤️

Negative experience: I ordered a dried bouquet for my wedding. When I went into the shop the person working was super helpful, and said I could pick out "must haves". I said my must haves were roses and eucalyptus. When I picked up my bouquet there was one single rose, which for some reason was at the back of the bouquet and not visible, and no eucalyptus - just some random green strands of grass. It was about $140 for a tiny bouquet and it just didn't really seem worth it. Further information: It was a bridesmaid sized bouquet, and I ordered it under my maiden name

Positive experience: Rook & Rose did my wedding flowers and they were unbelievably beautiful. Guests were commenting all day on the colours of the roses, the size of the orchids, and how unique and stunning the arrangements were. I remember looking down at the florals at the base of our ceremony arch when I got up there and thinking "oh my god they're incredible." The team was also really helpful and kind on the day, offering even to help my planner set up anything that wasn't done yet. Their vases, which we used for the tables, were really pretty too. My only disappointment was that my bridal bouquet was not quite what I wanted. I'd asked for an oversized heart-shaped bouquet and it ended up much smaller and rounder than I hoped. This communication did go through my planner though, so I recognize that I can't be sure whether it was clear enough or just an oversight, but I do wish I'd had the size and shape I'd dreamt of. Otherwise, they did a really lovely job!

Fantastic experience: I will relay my follow up email as Rook & Rose deserves the upmost amount of credit for making my wedding day a dream come true! Erica (the owner) is a wonderful human and I highly recommend her services to any bride. Erica did the most incredible job of curating the exact vibe that I envisioned for our day. My bridal bouquet and hair flowers were beyond perfection and I am so pleased with how they turned out. I am so appreciative of the extra special touches you added, it meant so much to us! All of the love and care that Erica applied to our arrangements didn’t go unnoticed. We can’t thank you enough, we loved each and every petal.

Positive experience: I wanted 6 small bouquets with 3 multicolored stems each, and expected to be charged $150-200. I got 1 large, monocolour, 5 stem bouquet for $170. I can understand that there was a miscommunication, but I was really shocked that I was charged $170 for a 5 stem bouquet. They considered it an 18 stem because they count the fillers as well (including the tiny sprigs of chamomile). Be sure to be extremely specific about what you want, and get the price in advance to avoid making the same mistake I did. They operate very differently to other florists.

Fantastic experience: It was so wonderful to work with Erica and team at Rook and Rose! They were professional, thoughtful, and put together a beautiful flower arrangement for our first in-person event since before the pandemic. The event was a huge success, in no small part because of the beautiful flower arrangements that added warmth to the venue. Thanks for your hard work! We will definitely be back next year. 2023 Update - We used Rook and Rose again and they were fantastic this year as well! highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Rook & Rose is the way to go for wedding florals, from the very start they were easy to work with. They understood my vision immediately and made it come true. Erica took the time to make several adjustments and ensured the florals were exactly right. Their customer service is top tier, and the floral arrangements are gorgeous!

Fantastic experience: [This review is an edited copy/paste from the email I originally sent to Rook & Rose.] "International" delivery was a success! Hello! I'm the gent from Florida, USA who called (what...THREE times??) trying to place an order for a flower bouquet delivery to my girlfriend there in Victoria. First, one of you ladies called me just prior to the delivery going out and I must say, I was not expecting that. If only because that is an international call. [Although an email would have been fine,] obviously, you needed immediate info, so [the international call] made sense]. I was just very much appreciative that you took on that expense in order to make sure the delivery went smoothly. Second, each of the ladies I spoke with was patient, so amazingly kind, and supportive as the bumbling Yank from USA tried to order flowers for his international girlfriend. I'm so grateful for your grace towards me as I tried to make all this work from LITERALLY the OTHER SIDE OF THE CONTINENT!! LOL (And sure, the distance really wasn't a critical factor but it sure did play a small role since I couldn't go in there in person.) [Plus, I was flustered because of the time limit imposed by my lunch break.] Still, you ladies were amazing and never made me feel like an idiot for my lack of flora knowledge. Finally, everything ended up beautiful. My girlfriend called me on video chat and showed me the bouquet and it was more beautiful than I had imagined. She was utterly delighted and on top of the moon. Whatever difficulties she faced today - which is why I wanted to pre-emptively get her flowers so to cheer her up - were definitely erased from mind because she didn't bring up work at all. The floral arrangement was so utterly wonderful! Spending $100 USD is no issue to me. My girlfriend is worth it and more...I just wish my budget agreed! But be rest assured that you all have earned any future business from me should I ever seek to bless my lady once again in this way. (And maybe next time I'll brush up on my knowledge of flowers and what's in season! LOL) I am a firm believer in the Biblical God and His Son, Jesus Christ. As such, I pray that He blesses each of you for your amazing and kind hearts in helping me to make my girlfriend's day that much brighter. A card and bouquet arrived just in time for our online date night (I am in Ottawa and she in Victoria). It made our evening extra special. I even received a sweet message from the owner the next day thanking me for the purchase. Highly recommend R&R for your elegant and tasteful floral needs. Erica truly brought my vision to life from just a few Pinterest photos and conversations. She asked all the right questions, made thoughtful suggestions and used her many years of experience to create the wedding of my dreams. I cannot thank Erica and her team at Rook and Rose enough. I am forever grateful for the wonderful memories I will always have.

Negative experience: I will make this point early: I understand how expensive a good florist is. I am not a cheap customer, and we did not have a cheap wedding. I had high expectations for Rook & Rose and expected a high price tag. The reason for this poor review is because of their communication, in particular the communication with Erica (owner). From the get go, the communication with Erica was terse and non-collaborative. Their initial contract in response is all text, describes ingredients but no sense of finished product, and includes the expected high price tag that comes with expected quality. However, for such a high price tag, I would expect some more collaboration and visual imagery to give clients who are not florists some idea of what they are paying for. We were assigned homework (which was fine), to provide more examples from our wedding. While I provided this late into the process, I still provided it in advance of when they needed it. I spent a lot of time on it, went into detail to make sure they could tie everything in with our palette, mood, and theme. After submitting, I got no response. We reached out for a phone call, and were reminded that we had one consultation included in the package which we had already used. I would have been happy to pay for more consultation time. Instead, we were treated like an inconvenience while wanting to give them thousands of dollars. We asked for archway decor to be added to the contract, knowing this was an additional expense. We were told we could make changes, but we were met with incredulity that there were changes being requested. The revised quote came back, with the archway at $4000 but no description. Pricey, but this was a vendor we respected so the sticker shock was mild. Still expensive enough that having some visual expectation was important, or maybe if modifications were possible. The response was “this is what it costs to make something to our standards.” We were not arguing standards, we wanted some collaboration. I could have built an archway out of Playstation 5s for the same cost, but I would have at least known what that would have looked like. Instead of collaboration we got condescension. Questions about options, not price, were met with “I thought you were prioritizing style over budget” and “we pay our people a living wage”. This culminated on the day of our wedding. I picked up our order, including the bouquet. I dropped it off with the bridal group, including hair, makeup, and planning vendors. The bouquet was different from the mock up we had agreed to. The modifications were expressly the things the bride instructed NOT to do. I listened to my bride in tears arguing with Erica, struggling to advocate for herself. She put Erica on speaker phone for people in the room to tell her if she was being unreasonable. Every single friend, vendor, and planner, was horrified by the tone, phrasing, and terrible customer service. My bride finally said enough is enough and insisted on changes. There was no offer to come and get the bouquet to fix it. For the next 1.5 hours, instead of getting ready for my own wedding, I ran an errand downtown on a busy summer Saturday to return the bouquet, wait for them to fix it, and confirm with my bride on the phone with photos (which Erica could have provided days prior but refused). I was livid, totally inconvenienced, and had no interest in prolonging the errand with an argument. $10 provided for a coffee was appreciated but insufficient. My problem wasn’t the price, but Erica’s terrible treatment of us. We sent an email to Erica weeks ago with an opportunity to resolve this experience privately, with no response. We worked collaboratively and joyfully with EVERY other vendor over months with our wedding...the exception being the communication, condescension, lack of collaboration, and dismissive tone from the owner of Rook & Rose. The result was stress on our wedding day, a smaller order for them, and losing us and our friends as customers.

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. Long-time customer, but my experience was absolutely RUINED during my wedding. I gave Rook & Rose more than 2 weeks to respond to an email asking for resolution/accountability. Zero response. The owner, Erica, was condescending, rude, and unprofessional throughout our experience, culminating in the WRONG design for my bouquet the day of the wedding and being gaslit and treated terribly. Luckily, I had witnesses. At varying times throughout my experience, I was told: - "I don't expect you to understand." - After receiving a (revised) $10,000 quote and asking for some clarification/collaboration, I was told, "Based on our conversation, I thought you were prioritizing style over budget." I don't mind paying for quality, what I do mind is paying to be treated poorly and being made to feel cheap when I try to have an honest conversation with a vendor. - I was repeatedly made to feel that my requests were inconvenient and burdensome. Erica spared no opportunity to remind me of how much effort it took to source and locate different items, and how difficult my requests were. I ordered a preserved bouquet, two dozen fresh roses, petals, and table garlands. - I asked for a photo of my final bouquet following our mock-up appointment and was told, "Our photo studio is a block and a half away, we don't have time to walk it down there and take photos." I never asked to have professional photos taken, and to jump to that conclusion is completely unreasonable. Still, I apologized and clarified that I just wanted a cell phone photo. I was laughed at and told, "We don't do that." Turns out, it would have saved a lot of trouble. - The day of the wedding arrived, and the bouquet was made incorrectly. When I called to let you know there was a mistake, I received no initial apologies. Erica immediately got defensive. I put her on speakerphone, and I am not exaggerating when I say that everyone in the room -- including other vendors -- were horrified. I sent photos, and she tried to tell me she didn't see what was wrong. I explained that your team had done exactly what I asked you NOT to do. I was told, "I didn't touch your bouquet, but if they had known how PARTICULAR you would be..." Everyone listening couldn't believe the tone and inability to take accountability. I finally had to ask to have it fixed as you weren't offering, and my husband had to drive back across town and wait for your team to fix it. I was a bride on the day of my wedding. You messed up my order. After a mock-up. After I requested a final photo and you LAUGHED at me. After everything, you made it sound like it was my fault, like I was being unreasonable, and like I was too stupid to even understand the process. To the very end, Erica claimed to be oblivious about her own behaviour. Not a single vendor, friend, or family member who listened to our interaction is in any doubt as to who was in the wrong, and how inappropriate her conduct was. I'm glad I put her on speakerphone because even after, in tears on my wedding day, I felt like a monster for standing up for myself. There is so much more that I could say here, and so many other ways Erica behaved inappropriately. I have been a loyal customer of Rook & Rose for years. Your business was the first one I thought of for my wedding, and I have recommended you for years. My last review was 4 years old. Basic human decency costs nothing, and even at the very end, I am appalled that when I asked for the name of the owner, you didn't mention that YOU, Erica, were the person who should be held accountable. I gave you every opportunity to resolve this privately. Nobody deserves to be treated the way you treated me, least of all on their wedding day. I had positive interactions and experiences with every single other vendor, some of whom expressed that this wasn't the first time they've heard about issues with attitude at Rook & Rose. You should be ashamed. Two additions: everyone aside from Erica was fine. Also, we had positive experiences with every other vendor, so this isn’t a bridezilla situation.

Fantastic experience: My favourite flower shop in Victoria to buy flowers for my friend's birthday every year. They always come through with classy, modern designs and palettes that suit her perfectly. Thanks Erica and co!

Fantastic experience: I've ordered two dried bouquets from Rook & Rose and they completely blew my expectations out of the water. They are by far the most beautiful bouquets I've ever seen, on top of arriving quickly and in perfect condition. They give so much life to my space and make me feel so much more at home. First of all, we had to postpone from last year, and they could not have been more kind or accommodating about it. Erica was great to work with - she walked me through everything as I felt a bit out of my element, and she was very responsive. I put full trust in her for the florals on the day of, and they exceeded all expectations, especially the arch, which was stunning. They were super reliable with drop off/set up, etc, and I could not have been happier!

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful place! A great selection of beautiful arrangements and a professional, client-oriented approach to business. After searching major fIorists online, I found that they were not taking new orders for same day delivery on Christmas Eve. Then I saw the ad for the Rook and Rose, and my order taken and delivered the same day! What impressed me most was how they were extremely helpful and courteous. They even followed up with emails when I was concerned about a potential delivery mix-up. As it turns out, I was wrong and the flowers had been delivered. They care about their clients and it shows. I'm in Ontario and could not be with family at Christmas this year because of restrictions, so they made my day. I will definitely return to Rook and Rose when I am looking for flowers.

Fantastic experience: This is my first experience of dealing with Rook & Rose but it most certainly won't be my last! Fantastic experience: Rook and Rose did our wedding flowers and they seriously went above and beyond for us. We had to postpone our wedding due to Covid and they were happy to book a new date for us the following year at no extra cost. Erica was so friendly and easy to work with - you can tell she is very passionate about her work and takes her client’s vision seriously. She was also very accommodating with our budget and made sure to tailor our order to include everything that we were wanting. When we finally saw our end product, we were absolutely amazed. The flower arrangements, bouquets, boutonnières and greenery garlands were all incredible and more beautiful than we could have dreamed! I can’t say enough how highly I recommend Erica and the whole Rook & Rose team, their unique, gorgeous designs and customer service are just beyond exceptional.

Fantastic experience: I love Rook and Rose!! I moved to the island 5 years ago now, and loved to pop into their beautiful little store on my way home from school. You can tell that precision and an artists careful eye goes into everything they do. The staff always go above and beyond to help, I remember one time I had bought a little pot from value village and had purchased a succulent from their shop to put into it, and the lovely lady working took the time to help me get the sticker off with goo gone and planted the succulent for me, and even watered it!! I ordered a tote and flowers to be delivered to my friend today and they did such a beautiful job, she was so happy with them (as was I!!) I love how you get to choose a colour pallet when ordering, it's such a wonderful way to personalize your order. Negative experience: If you are thinking of booking Rook & Rose for an event, especially for a wedding, read this review. During a pandemic, the way this company has chosen to do business is disappointing and shameful. We booked with Rook & Rose back in 2019 and paid the deposit. Once COVID happened, we had to postpone to June 2021. Once again, COVID was not getting any better to accommodate our 100+ people wedding, so we decided to cancel. Now, I understand keeping some of our deposit, however this company insisted on keep 100% of the deposit. We gave them 6 months notice of our cancellation. Keep in mind, they did not provide any services at this point. They were NOT willing to work with us in any regard, and at one point they told my Fiancé to stop calling them. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I picked up the bouquets on June 19 (for no event), and by June 21 they had all died. One was also full of aphids. I am very sad to have wasted my time and money with this company. There are many other florists in Victoria - I suggest choosing a different florist for your special day.

I asked them to deliver flowers to my daughter's office at the BC Legislature (for her birthday), and they did so, at the time requested. The people from Rook & Rose who spoke with me on the phone were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Negative experience: Would not recommend. The size of bouquets for the price is inequitable, some of the flowers in the bouquet were wilted upon arrival, the flowers are all dead after only 4 days and problem solving after the fact was unsatisfactory. I never complain on social but I couldn't help warn others. I think the staff were pleasant and responsive enough but overall was not a good experience for me as the flower gifter and for the receiver. it was unimpressive and unsatisfactory overall. We bought an $8 Lily bouquet at the grocery store 10 days ago and they are going strong. For $100 I spent on the bouquet before tax and delivery I could of spent on more Lily's and filled the house! Sorry, the value was just not there. I hope they can take this feedback and figure it out.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with the dried custom arrangement I ordered through Rook & Rose! I’ve seen their little arrangements throughout town, and wanted one in a specific colour palette to honour my grandparents, who very recently passed. When I arrived, the bouquet was larger than expected, but was easy to cut down to the size I needed for my vase. They came under my budget, and worked really well with the creative theme/colour palette I gave them. After I picked up my bouquet, the store owner was in touch, and it was definitely that little cherry on top. So local, and so lovely. I’ll definitely be coming back for more arrangements for around the home.

Negative experience: An amendment from my review in April 2020. I purchased two Herbivore products on sale last April. Herbivore products were supposed to last about a year, I expected due to the sale price maybe a bit less. However my product (Prism) turned almost back a month ago and was not useable. After contacting Herbivore they let me know the product I bought in April 2020 was made in December 2018 and had expired December 2019. I had bought a product that had expired 4 months before the purchase date and had been using it frequently. When I contacted the store to let them know they were (or had as they no longer carry apothecary) selling an expired product I was told I had just purchased it as a discount so it didn’t really count. I don’t know if the person I talked to misunderstood what I was saying however there should have been due diligence not to sell an expired product. I will not be buying any more body products from Rook & Rose, just flowers.

Fantastic experience: I have purchased several products from Rook and Rose and they have all been phenomenal. I trust their curating of items and they are always bringing in new and exciting products. I recently purchased an item that did not perform as intended, when I emailed, I received a quick response and when I went into store they were able to provide me with a solution right away. I appreciated their willingness to work with me especially knowing this is a busy week for them (Valentines Day!)

Fantastic experience: I ordered fresh flowers for my stepmom for her birthday and it was a wonderful experience. I called them in and the employee on the phone was helpful and lovely to speak to. I loved that I could choose between different colour palettes for the 'designer's choice' so I could pick a vibe that I thought would suite my stepmom's home without having to fuss over what the actual flowers were (I love flowers but I'm no expert). The flowers were gorgeous and so contemporary. I love fresh flowers of all kinds but Rook & Rose's were really something special and unique, not your regular flower shop at all.

Negative experience: We were severely disappointed with this vendor and how they chose to "work" with us in the middle of a pandemic. We had to cancel our wedding because we couldn't get across the border and they ended up keeping our full deposit. All other vendors in CA handled this beautifully and refunded full deposits in the interest of doing the right thing. We understand this is an incredibly difficult time for both business owners and clients. Be aware there is no flexibility with this vendor if things don't go perfectly as planned.

Negative experience: BEWARE of booking with this company (and read the fine print on the contract). They are not reasonable, even amidst a pandemic. It's always unfortunate when a company doesn't do right by their customers. After our venue cancelled due to Covid and the border from US -> CA closed, we were forced to cancel our wedding. Every other vendor we put deposits down with were willing to refund everything or come to an arrangement where they met us halfway. Rook & Rose wouldn't budge on anything and instead offered us dried flowers to be mailed to the US.... This was an unfortunate choice on their part and I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

They were incredibly patient in explaining to us all the types of arrangements and details that were available and just as patient as we went back and forth to create a final order that fit within our budget. They are truly experts who knew how to make a cohesive look throughout our venue (Sea Cider). We're amazed at how they took very few specific details from us other than a handful of pins on Pinterest, and came up with floral arrangements and greenery we loved. We only wish we could have kept our arrangements longer!

Fantastic experience: I've worked with rook and rose for a few weddings and they nail it out of the park every time. Everything they create is absolutely stunning. They have an artful eye and talent unique to the island. Their shop is also filled with the most incredible and beautiful pieces. Most from local artists. Every time I go in, I want to buy everything. I also rent their LOFT quite often. It's this incredible, clean, white, minimalist space. It's perfect for photo shoots as the light is always beautiful and they have designed it SO well. Every time my clients walk in I always hear "ohhh" and "ahhh this place is amazing!" Even the kitchen and bathroom are photo worthy. They really go above and beyond. Everything from sparkling water in the fridge, to rose water mist the bathroom. They've taken the time to put thought into every corner. It's always immaculate and ready to shoot when I arrive and the service is top notch. They are kind, professional, and accommodating. There's no other space like it and theres a reason it's my favourite place to rent/ shoot in all of BC. Thank you for creating such a beautiful space for artists to create and for putting so much thought into every corner you designed. This peaceful little place will always be my favourite.

Fantastic experience: Talk about amazing service! I live in Toronto and was on the hunt for J. Hannah nail polishes, which are so hard to find here. I emailed Rook & Rose because they carried a huge selection of all the colours I wanted. Even though the nail polishes were local pick up only, they were so kind and offered to ship the nail polishes to me. One of my polishes was a bit old and was defective and Erica, the owner, mailed me a new bottle. The service is incredible and the team is incredibly kind and helpful! Love this shop!
