Negative experience: I would have provided a 5 star review as I used Stems for my dad's funeral however my mum's funeral flowers order was not acceptable. The order was changed without my permission - flowers for going in with mum were changed and not questioned,and the small great grandmother posy ordered and paid for was missing. Janet unfortunately never quite understood why I was upset. She mentioned she said sorry but this was my mum's funeral, it's not like I can giver her a bunch of flowers. I hope Stems learn not to assume and maybe offer a sincere apology or refund the money for the missing flowers.

Fantastic experience: Placed an order for a dozen red roses. Got a phone call from a lovely lady in the shop saying they'd ran out of red so swapped them with white ones plus a couple extra. Fantastic experience: This is the second year running I have ordered flowers from here for my mum's birthday. Same as last year, the flowers were very fresh and delivered on time. The bouquet was gorgeous- ordered their smallest size and it was still generous. Overall mum was very happy both years. Negative experience: Walked in on Valentine’s Day morning. Bouquet had a £30 price tag, asked for it, staff to it into the back, asked their manager, came back and said it was £45. They saw I would pay it so took advantage. Not the best way to do business if you ask me.

Negative experience: Don’t believe I have ever given a bad review for anyone, as off days can happen to us all, but due to a glitch on the website , one of the two bouquets that I ordered for colleagues was mistakenly delivered to my home address, the billing address, and despite contacting them to correct this error they would only re deliver after I paid a further £10, disappointed is an understatement, therefore I won’t be using this florist again

Negative experience: 0 STARS!!!! I placed an order for a dozen rose bouquet over the phone for my wee mrs, and she was sent old wilted dead roses (picture attached) the next day, after paying 70 quid and 5.99 for next day delivery. Place should be closed down. Shocking. Phoned to complain, received no help and made to feel like it was my fault!

Negative experience: I ordered and paid £45 for a bouquet - and to my shock received MOULDY flowers. Phoned and tried to explain the situation, and i couldn’t believe the customer service. They were incredibly rude, denied the mould after i showed pictures and slammed the phone shut honestly its really effected my mood, how can they speak like that to their customers.

Negative experience: If I could have left a 0 I would. A close family member received flowers and when they arrived half of them were dead. They looked like a reduced bunch from Tesco across the road. I believe the flowers were expensive. When she emailed in with the photos she was ignored. Shocking service and expensive I can see a few reviews with the same. Totally avoid the shop. Disgusting and extremely rude. People should get what they pay for!!!!!!!!!

Positive experience: I chose this florist, because they were local. I had ordered flowers from stems for my partners birthday. I ordered them a few days before her birthday, and had asked if they could try to deliver them between 10-00am and 12 noon on the 13th of September, this was about a week before that I placed the order. On the day of her birthday, we waited in nearly all day, we did have plans to go out a bit earlier, for a few drinks, before the meal that I booked for her. I ended up calling stems, and the telephone just kept ringing. I even tried e-mailing them. I however eventually get a hold of someone later on the 13th, and the flowers were eventually delivered around 4 or 5pm. The flowers were beautiful, and my partner was extremely happy with them. So I suppose it was worth the wait. I may use stems again in the future. Just a pitty that they can’t give a specific time slot for deliveries.

Negative experience: Terrible from start to finish, should have trusted my gut and walked out. Ordered flowers for a Wedding cake, gave them a list and a picture of what I was after. Picked up a bunch of dying weeds on sat morning! Disgusted and feel ripped off £22 for nothing I could use! Avoid avoid avoid

Fantastic experience: Dream bouquet. I placed an order on line less than 48 hours in advance. The bouquet arrived on time and it was AMAZING. The person I bought them for said they were the nicest flowers she had ever seen and I had to agree. I will definitely be using Stems of Burnside again in future.

Negative experience: Both previous times I have ordered arrangements in baskets, and my bouquets have turned up in a cardboard vase not the basket I ordered. It wasn't until I phoned them after I had received the order to tell them I did not receive the flowers in a basket like I ordered, the woman on the phone advised me they are having issues with their supplier for the baskets due to covid/brexit. If this is the case, then the basket should not be advertised on their website and I should of received a partial refund. On top of these 2 times I ordered from here, another poor experience I had was when my friend ordered flowers for me. I received a call from the shop advising that the delivery driver was out attempting to deliver my flowers, and could I go outside my house to meet her. When I went outside to collect my flowers from the delivery driver, I commented on how beautiful the arrangement was and the delivery driver made a rude remark on how I almost didn't get them as I didn't answer my phone to help her with directions to my house. I apologised and advised I was busy with my infant daughter (I was on maternity leave at the time). The delivery driver woman then started shouting at me as I walked back in to my house saying "You need to answer your phone!" which is incredibly rude and uncalled for behaviour. The arrangements are beautiful (hence the 2 star rating, otherwise theyd have 1), but due to the despicable customer service I will not be ordering from here again.

Positive experience: Overpriced tiny funeral wreath . I read the size but for £50 I imagined better. I was embarrassed at the funeral when I saw it

Negative experience: Ordered flowers for Mothers Day & they were delivered to the wrong address, so I didn't get until night time on Mother's Day & only got because our estate has a local Facebook page so person that received delivery put on Facebook saying she received flowers for us. Even though I contacted to ask about delivery & have never been contacted back. I am really disappointed as used Stems multiple times, but returning custom doesn't seem important to them. I received an email today, the 27th, to say the order was delivered on the 19th & my proper address on email but delivered to no 37, not 57, as is my no. Won't be using them again.

Fantastic experience: Had ordered flowers for a birthday and the recipient loved them so much that I therefore used them a few times for company orders and each time those receiving have loved the flowers and the quality of them. Would definitely recommend!

Negative experience: Ordered flowers for Mother’s Day online for delivery on Sunday the 19th of march. I called them at 12:00 to try and get a rough idea of what time they would be delivered at and was told that the driver was out and that they couldn’t give me a time. I called them back at 15:00 to see when they would be delivered only to be told that they were still in the shop so I told them that I would come and collect them. When I was collecting them I asked why nobody bothered to tell me that they were still in the shop the first time I called only to be met with a vacant look and a member of staff telling me that they probably were not even made up at that point. I can appreciate that Mother’s Day is extremely busy for florists but you should be able to get a rough delivery time, also I didn’t even get the delivery cost refunded to me. The customer service is really poor at this place and I won’t be using them again.

Fantastic experience: Very thankful for the phone call to say that the flowers that I had ordered are normally send on funeral occasions. Thankfully my parent's wedding anniversary went without upset!!!!!!

Negative experience: Horrible customer service and old roses given when paid £70 on valentines day. Received ripped old wilted roses which were falling apart (pictures attached) and when we complained, received attitude over the phone and told how roses shouldn’t mean that much and “theres other things going in the world”. They came back to give “replacement roses” that were worth half the amount paid for which was due to a fault on their end. Do not buy ❌

Negative experience: Flowers for my sisters 60th birthday....the cala lilies in the arrangement were fit for the bin next day. To be fair replacement lilies were replaced. Day 5 whole arrangement was binned . I will not be using Stems again.

Negative experience: I have bought from Stems of Burnside previously and had nothing but praise following that purchase… but I will not make the mistake of offering repeat custom after my most recent experience. Janet is apparently very happy to subcontract orders out to third party suppliers but not so happy to deal with complaints when things go wrong. I’ll be leaving a scathing summary of my experience with Victoria’s Florists in Kirkcaldy shortly but suffice to say, after dropping £71 on a delivered bouquet that consisted of 6 roses that were already dying, 15 lilies of which some were damaged, and a lot of filler ‘greenery’, I’m appalled at the lack of responsibility shown by Stems of Burnside. Instead of acting professionally and questioning the quality of her substandard supplier in an effort to defend her own company’s reputation amidst a complaint, Janet was only too happy to try and fob me off, advising me to take it up with her subcontractor directly despite the order being placed via Stems! It strikes me as a highly irregular stance to try to pass the buck when an order placed with her reflects on her own company, whether it is fulfilled by them, or subcontracted to a third party. I will never be using Stems of Burnside again and would suggest anyone looking for a reputable florist steers clear as well. Over £70 for a handful of dying roses and lilies is ridiculous! Offering a small replacement bunch when the quality of the first bouquet was so poor is also no sort of compensation!

Negative experience: Terrible service. Ordered flowers Saturday morning to be delivered Monday morning as family funeral was 1pm. I was assured they would be delivered before 12 noon before the family left. They didn't arrive. Called shop to enquire and was told they'd be left with a neighbour, i said all the neoghbours are going to the funeral, then told well they will leave them on the doorstep. Worst £47 ever spent.
