Fantastic experience: I ordered “The Meadows” in large as a birthday gift and it was absolutely beautiful. To quote the birthday girl, “it reminds me of a garden in a fairytale”. I also want to thank the shop for their great service. I mistakenly wrote my pick up time at 4:30 pm, not realizing they close at 4 pm. Since I couldn’t arrive earlier, they kindly arranged another place I could pick them up later. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: We recently got some greta bouquets, button holes and jam jars for our wedding and everyone commented on how beautiful the flowers were. Katie was a delight to deal with and put up with my adding things in about four separate orders. The jam jars were larger than expected and filled the table really well. The bouquets were delivered in jam jars that we then used to have them as extra table decoration after the ceremony. Can highly recommend and would definitely order flowers from here again.

Fantastic experience: Roots Floral design created the most beautiful flowers for my wedding in September. We had so many people telling us how gorgeous all our flowers were. The team were really helpful in helping us to pick our design (we made some small tweaks to the Greta design) and then we ordered bud vases, bouquets, milk churns and button holes online. Highly recommend speaking with the lovely team in store - they were absolutely fab!

Fantastic experience: I used Roots for my wedding flowers and chose "off the rack". I asked for the flowers to be autumnal colours to fit with our theme and the flowers looked absolutely incredible. Roots were always so helpful from start to finish. I also bought some dried flower bouquets from the shop which were beautiful. Would recommend Roots to anyone... incredible flowers, such good value for money and friendly service.

Negative experience: I visited the shop on two occasions, October 18th and October 22nd at the end of the morning, and both times I was helped by a person without patience and who seemed bothered by my questions or for not understanding quickly what she was saying, since I am not a native English speaker. On both occasions, I was with my newborn in the baby carrier and I tried not to bother anyone or be on the way with the pram, but on my last visit I was still asked to make sure I wasn’t in the way of clients that were behind me while I was choosing my flowers, even though I just entered the shop because it was empty and I made sure to leave the stroller out of the way of the shop entrance, so other people could still come in. Certainly not the regular friendly environment that I find in the shops around Bristol, and although the flowers are gorgeous, I had to find another place to buy flowers, as I don’t want to have to deal with this person’s impatience every time I go there.

Fantastic experience: I called for sympathy flowers for a friend and had very specific ideas about the vibe and feel I wanted. They were absolutely lovely on the phone and took care to make an amazing arrangement which took my ideas, and made them even better. Brilliant price point, very speedy delivery, and excellent care taken.

Fantastic experience: We used Roots Floral Designs and their 'Off the Peg' wedding flowers for my son's wedding in Bristol. Katie and the team were absolutely fabulous. The flowers both for the church and the reception were stunning, it is almost unbelievable that they can deliver the equivilant of a bespoke wedding at such a reasonable cost. On a very stressful day of preperation for a DIY wedding, the flowers were an uplift to all our hearts and eyes, also uplifting was the calm presence of Katie as she kindly fixed the gorgeous jam jar pew end flowers so they hung just right. Luckily the church was around the corner to the florist, but the reception was outside of Bristol and the flowers were delivered at exactily the time agreed. We can't thank you enough and it is a unique and genious idea to offer this service.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for some dried wheat stems to make a boutonniere, and spotted that Roots Floral Designs used these in some of their dried flower bouquets. I contacted them to ask if I would be able to purchase just a few stems, and they were really quick to respond and very happy to help out. In the end, they were kind enough to let me have some stems free of charge. Really fantastic customer service, and I will definitely be back to purchase some of their beautiful flowers one day!

Fantastic experience: We ordered flowers form Roots for our Wedding service. Katie was amazing helping us with suggestions for what would be in season and what flowers would last longer. Katie was really flexible and helpful. When we decided to go with an 'off the rack selection Katie made sure we had as many of the main flowers that we spoke about as possible. The flowers were fantastic highest quality, bright and beautiful, robust and stood the test of an hour and a half drive and well into the next week! The flower crown, boutineers, and bouquets were beautifully arranged. Thank you Roots for providing beautiful display for our special day!

Negative experience: Visited on Mothering Sunday to purchase flowers for my mum. I wondered if they might make something personal as my mum likes specific colours. My initial enquiry was met with a huff and look of frustration. I was not aware that customers were seen as an inconvenience in this store. If I was politely informed this was not a service they were willing to offer then I would have purchased a preprepared arrangement and left without a second thought. Unfortunately, the specific member of staff was unable to mask her frustration and left me feeling quite insulted. I will not return to this store based on this single interaction.

Negative experience: Never received our order, which was planned for Christmas, and had no communication. Update: Had communication a week or so after requested delivery date. Was very apologetic and offered a refund. Apparently they were really busy and lost my order.

Honestly one of the best bouquets I’ve ever seen, the colour arrangement matched the rainbow for Joseph & it just looked epic. I was there as the shop was closing up & still was dealt with without rush & full attention. I’m not a flower person so had no idea what was a good way to go but the unknown target wasn’t just hit, it was knocked out the park. To top it off my young friend loved them & was so excited to be leaving the theatre with her flowers. This is your florist to use in Bristol

Fantastic experience: I only had a few bouquets, pin holes and a flower crown for my wedding but they absolutely exceeded my expectations. The flowers on the crown opened up throughout the day and it was just the right width. All the other flowers were perfect too.

Fantastic experience: I've always loved Roots' plants and flowers and so they were my first choice for my wedding flowers. The team did an absolutely incredible job interpreting my vision, and all of the flowers were utterly perfect. They smelled divine all day and looked just as beautiful as the end of the day as they did at the beginning. Negative experience: They prepared my red roses for my girlfriend like you'd prepare a bag of churros. Brown paper and a cord so I had to buy some more 'lively' paper to wrap them otherwise I would have slept in the sofa. Not the service you expect for the price you're paying. Maybe is only if you spend 50£+ they'll make an effort.

Communication was excellent throughout, Maria, Sam and the team created exactly what we were after and the flowers really made our day special.
