I wanted a plant rather than a bouquet for my daughter as a moving-in present, and I didn't know the names of any plants, so they whatsapped me photos of all the plants on the shelves so I was able to choose as if I was in the shop! I got a perfect plant and my daughter is delighted, we both are. Top marks

Fantastic experience: We recently had 3 beautiful arrangements for my mother’s funeral and the girls couldn’t have been more helpful. From mums favourite colour all the way through, right through to our choice of delivery date and a message to say they had been delivered. Top class service all the way and I just know mum would have absolutely adored all the flowers and particularly the most glorious purple shade which coincidentally matched the fresh spring flowers in the church yard. Just amazing.

The value for a bouquet of this size and how long it lasted was an extra happy surprise. The store is a lovely gem of a place and looking forward to returning.

Negative experience: I’m really disappointed with the service I received. I spoke to the lady in the shop and requested that all the flowers be sprayed blue, as my grandad disliked white. She told me that everything would be sprayed except the bat, because it needed to stay its original colour. At no point were we told that spraying all the flowers would cost extra or that it wasn’t included. When we raised the issue afterward, the lady dismissed our concerns instead of trying to understand or resolve the situation. The lack of communication and the dismissive attitude made an already emotional time even more upsetting. This felt very unprofessional and deeply disappointing. If this were your own parent’s tribute, you would be upset too? or would you be happy with the service you received? Truly unacceptable behaviour. I would not recommend this shop based on this experience, which is truly upsetting. Please look at the photo and tell me which part Grandad, Bert and Dad flowers was sprayed blue !!!! i was expecting all the flowers as agreed when in the store. disgusting customer service. i cant even express this, i have no words but disappointment and upset. P.s the small spray is not what we requested so please Do not say you did what we requested. because we asked for all the flowers to be blue not some small little pieces no one can see. I want a solution not an apology! You lot did what you wanted, if you listen ( NO WHITE FLOWERS) or didn't have the colours, you had my number to call me and inform me of the extra cost or another flowers colour or another alternative. Not taking things into your own hands and making people pay so much money to not deliver them the flowers they requested and wanted.

Positive experience: Ordered via this florist for my mothers 60th as she has received flowers from them in the past that are beautiful. The flowers were nicely arranged but not really like the photo on the website. I paid extra (over £50 after delivery) to get the bouquet as seen on the photo but got half the roses with a stem of lilies to substitute the rest of the missing roses, no irises and no chrysanthemums to bulk it out so it appears about half the size as the one on the photo. A little underwhelming given the price - feels like more substitutions could have occurred if they did not have the appropriate stock.

Positive experience: I only made an enquiry for a friend about flowers for a funeral, but Claire was very knowledgeable and gave really good advice on how to save money but still get a good display. The price she gave was in par with other florists. I have used 1st Choice for delivery explained qhat the flowers were for and left the choice of flowers to the florists. I have not been disappointed and the receipts always love the flowers received.

Negative experience: Mothers day issue I understand this is her business but where pleasing a customer 0% wanted to add £7.50 flowers to a already paid for delivery of £30+ of made up gifts for mothers day was refused to add £7.50 flowers to delivery because she didn't think it was suitable and refused to let me add to order so my partner would have been happy the owner was rude and water marks all over gift what a joke will advise anyone if you want something you want to pay for and have delivered don't bother

Fantastic experience: Needed to buy some flowers for my wife. I chose 1st Choice Florist as it was fairly local to us, the bright colours of the shop and the display at the front made it look inviting. The staff were very helpful, basically I was happy for them to create a colourful bouquet. It didn't take long to make and I was given the option of having the flowers wrapped in eco friendly colourful paper which appealed to me, anything to help reduce plastic waste. I left the shop with a gorgeous bouquet of fresh flowers. Will definitely use this shop again.

Fantastic experience: I have purchased several times with 1st Choice Florist and as always the Florist is extremely professional, absolutely lovely and took time to explain about the flowers and costs. The Bouquets of flowers were colourful,vibrant & stunning. My friends who recieved the Bouquets were quite overwhelmed and emotional. Thankyou 1st Choice Florist. Positive experience: Awesome place, nice and warm staff

Negative experience: Have previously had the misfortune of having flowers delivered by this florist before through Bloomlocal for a birthday. The flowers were subsequently delivered a day late - at least they were delivered. On this occasion the flower order which was placed through Bloomlocal wasn’t even delivered. After calling the florist and speaking with a member of staff about this, I was told that every attempt to deliver said flowers had been made. Both myself and the recipient were present at the delivery address all day and not once had anyone arrive with the order. I was then told that I can’t have a refund because ‘she’s not paid till the end of the month’ - not my problem? Why should I be charged for a product/service that has not been delivered and if I did want to get a refund I’d need to approach Bloomlocal although she’d contest this. Luckily, Bloomlocal saw sense that as I had not received the flowers and there was no proof any delivery had been attempted apart from a supposed voicemail being left that they would issue a refund. Absolutely shocking service and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless they have a burning desire to waste their time and potentially their money by dealing with incompetent staff with a backwards approach to customer service.
