Negative experience: My wife has been a regular customer of memento for years. They have always been at the top end of the price range but have been quality. Recently my wife and her work mates spent £110 pounds on a bouquet for a friend and were extremely disappointed in what they got. They photographed it and compared it to the one on the website and it was like night and day. They contacted memento customer service stating their disappointment and were patronised and told they were wrong. That the florist who made the bouquet is a great florist therefore they were right and the customer was wrong. No offer of mediation, element of customer service or conflict resolution. Just that they were right and the customer was wrong. £110 for a bouquet of flowers that looked nothing like the sample pic is a disgrace which was only made worse but the attitude of the staff when customers told them they weren’t happy. If you’ve any sense you’ll shop elsewhere

Fantastic experience: Honestly a really reliable local flower shop near queen’s university belfast student accommodations that I keep coming back to. It’s just a quick 30 minute walk away? And can be a lifesaving location for when you need flowers that are better and more high quality than retail! Sometimes, you might get unlucky and come at a time where they don’t have good stems but there’s always something. I’ve attached a picture of a bouqet I made for a birthday, by handpicking the stems with help of staff :)

Negative experience: I have always loved Memento for their fresh flower creations and range of plants. Unfortunately my recent plant order with them wasn't positive, in that one of the plants sold to me had the fungus based leaf spot on it, which has potentially spread to a few other plants in this heat/with use of fans that were in the close proximity of the infected plant. I contacted the owner Gary to inform him about this only to be ignored and then blocked from their social media platforms. Not a great experience, I'm very disappointed to even have to write this. ***Updated response to Momentos reply*** I have edited and updated this post a number of times as you have tried on multiple occasions using various attempts of Google rules to have my honest experience and review deleted /removed in an obvious attempt to boost your ratings and cover/brush over negative customer experiences.

Fantastic experience: We did a flower crown making class with Vicky and had such a fun time! She was very good at teaching us what to do and we all left with beautiful crowns we were all very proud of! There was such a fun vibe and Vicky got along with us all so well it was a lovely night

Fantastic experience: What an absolute hidden gem. All I want to say is that I've never felt so welcomed into a shop in all my life. A beautifully decorated shop and lovely vibes. The two women working greeted me so warmly and were extremely kind and helpful. One of the girls went out of her way to show me all the different flowers and helped me buy a gift for a family member. Right down to getting me a card and a bag so I could carry everything out safely from the rain. They were even kind to my little boy while I was browsing. Highly highly recommend

Negative experience: I found the whole place to be very cramped and out of place. Unfortunately the staff were unfriendly and weren't able to help me, along with the fact their prices were very high.

Fantastic experience: Attended a flower crown hen party activity at Memento with Jill, what an absolutely fabulous time we had. Jill was incredible, the setup was so well done and she was the most welcoming host. We entered with zero skills and felt we left like pros following Jill's careful instructions. A lovely touch was a welcome note on a blackboard for our lovely hen! Highly recommended!

Positive experience: Edited update: Although our experience wasn’t great, the customer service team acknowledged that the workshop didn’t meet expectations. They addressed the issue by dressing the wreaths appropriately to better reflect the cost of the workshop and followed up by offering a free workshop in the new year, which I think is commendable, which is very much appreciated – Extremely Disappointing and Not Worth the £75 I attended the wreath-making workshop at Memento Flower Shop and can honestly say it was nowhere near value for money. For £75, I expected quality materials and professional guidance. Instead, the wreath base was already pre-made, and the only foliage provided was eucalyptus, along with a tiny bag containing a few dried orange slices whole oranges and cones. No berries, no festive colours, nothing to justify the price. The session was dragged out to over 2 hours with poor coordination. Had it not been for people who’d attended previous workshops and knew what to do, the whole thing would have completely fallen apart. Even worse, two people cut their fingers during the workshop, and the “coordinator” clearly had no idea how to handle it. They panicked, handed out blue roll, and then had to ring someone to bring plasters. A basic first aid kit and accident book are legal requirements for paid public events, which made me seriously question whether they even have proper public liability insurance. The facilities were absolutely unacceptable. Not the nice flower shop that was initially advertised. The toilets were a health hazard, with no working lights—people had to use torches just to see. The door wouldn’t even close properly. Overall, this workshop felt like nothing more than a cash grab with zero professionalism, zero preparation, and zero value for money. I left feeling completely disgusted and disappointed. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I dropped in for a small gift and ended up wanting to stay for much longer. It is a beautiful shop and makes you want to fill your home with plants! It is beautifully laid out and has lots of little extras to look at as you walk around.

Negative experience: Really poor website. We ordered a wreath for over £100 that looked nothing like the pictures on the website or the order confirmation. When I complained they said that the pictures were from a different wreath that was not available. They have a knowledged that I would have had no way of knowing it was a different wreath but will not collect the incorrect item. I do not live in Belfast so it is not easy for me to return the item myself, that is why I paid for delivery in the first place. It wouldn't be so bad if the wreath looked good but it looks like it was thrown together in a hurry by someone inexperienced. It's such a shame. We will not be ordering again as the website cannot be trusted.

Fantastic experience: I discovered Memento when we received the most amazing floral arrangements for our mother’s funeral. After the funeral I used memento to send flowers to friends. I cannot tell you how happy I and the recipients were with the arrangements. The girl who took my order took so much time to get it right and even Sourced the flowers I asked for. Amazing service ! Negative experience: The Indian summer no fuss wedding bouquet and buttonholes were in poor quality. The flowers were delivered already wilting and did not look fresh at all for the wedding the next day. We had to fix the buttonholes and add fresh flowers to fix it. I wouldn't recommend these flowers. They look great in pictures but not as fresh and lively looking in real life. Very disappointed. Don't get fooled by Instagram pics!

Fantastic experience: Memento delivered a beautiful bouquet of hand arranged flowers, I chose the treat jar and the arrangement they created was perfect! The delivery service for Greater Belfast was really convenient, and the staff were very helpful with my order. Would absolutely recommend if you need flowers for yourself or loved ones :) ❤️

Negative experience: I had bought a Monstera from Memento about 3 years ago and it had been growing incredibly well with absolutely no fuss. I had noticed some leaves yellowing a couple weeks back and was wondering if there was something wrong with the roots. As it had gotten too big I brought my monstera into the shop to be cared for. Ryan called me to assure me that it was perfectly fine, and only needed a repot. I completely trusted Ryan to do this service and left the plant at the shop for about 2 weeks. When it had come back to me, it was completely different. Majority of the aerial roots were so damaged they had to be cut off completely as they were rotting on the plant. Ryan assured me the leaves curling will amend itself after a water. After several days since watering and in the same spot it had been in for YEARS, the leaves have only been worsening. Theyre curling more than ever, leaves feel thinner than before, mottled black and brown spots all over the plants that were not there before. Leaves are yellowing at a vastly quicker rate than before i brought it in. The first photo is before i brought the plant into the shop, and the next 2 are what was returned to me! Completely unacceptable, and I’m utterly devastated. This plant meant so so much to me, it’d be so lovingly cared for the last several years. I’ve been wrecked on the floor sobbing for the last couple days as I regret every aspect of this repot service. I would have been much better leaving it as is. I really cannot recommend this shop anymore, not after this. Im beyond crushed.

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful night last night learning how to plant up a glass terrarium in a workshop. Didn't feel stupid could asking questions, everything explained no patronising answers and had great fun. Loved it so much going back to do another one for desert plants. Would recommend it for something different to do.

Negative experience: I have previously ordered flowers as gifts from Memento and have been very impressed. The quality is second to none and I love supporting local businesses. That said, I ordered a £60 flower bouquet with £10 delivery to my family address. The maximum delivery was up to 12 miles which I thought odd but surely flexible. I received a call this morning advising that as my family address was 15 miles from Mementos location they would be unable to deliver. I asked if they would be able to extend the delivery an extra 3 miles however the answer was negative and I cancelled my order. I understand that the extra 3 miles is beyond the 12 mile limit, but for £10 delivery I would have assumed there would be some flexibility. It is clear Memento will quite literally not go the extra mile which is severely disappointing as I once respected this company. I will never order again.

Fantastic experience: More for my other half but very nice wee plant store, the staff are very friendly and helpful with good knowledge and array of options available for plant lovers

Positive experience: Customer Service was friendly and delivery of plants was quick and on-time. They have a wide selection for a small store and in-house staff are knowledgeable in plant care. The plants themselves are of high standard. One drawback would be upon receiving the plants, a few of them were overwatered and came with waterlogged soil, which resulted in a small gnat fly infestation. There should be some consideration when excessively watering plants before delivery.

Fantastic experience: I purchased a few plants and home decor pieces from Momento, and every time I have been impressed with the quality. They offer unique pieces and they always deliver quickly (I'm near Stranmillis). I would definitely recommend them. They do a lovely job and the online photos are great depiction of what you can expect. I feel confident in their quality and their service, and I think you will be impressed too.

Negative experience: My daughter sent me a bouquet from Memento ormeau road Belfast for Christmas. Within a week most of the flowers had withered and gone brown. I rang the shop then emailed them with pictures of bouquet. I was told they guarantee their flowers for 5 days!!! I was not offered an apology any sort of partial refund or small bouquet as a gesture of goodwill. I find this absolutely ridiculous and my daughter has paid a significant amount of money. Tescos Sainsbury’s Marks and Spencer guarantee their flowers for 7 days and always last for nearly 2 weeks. Memento customer service dreadful. I told them I would not be buying from them again and was told ok!!! So I would advise anyone buying from them think carefully!!!! Your flowers may only last 5 days and you will have paid a lot of money for them.

There was a total of 3 staff in and out, not one made a gesture to acknowledge me. 2 other customers came in and walked out. Very disappointed as I was buying a birthday present that was requested from there.

Positive experience: One of my favourite shops to visit in Belfast. Lovely decor and great selection of plants. The past few plants I've purchased have taken a good bit of work though, as I had noticed they were very root bound as soon as I had brought them home.

Fantastic experience: Great service from mollie! Provided an alternative suggestion to my plant which was out of stock, picked a beautiful pot, I had issues with network connection and she went the extra mile and communicated images via whatsap, What a babe!

Fantastic experience: I've been wanting to pop into the store for a while and I'm so glad I did today! I was able to find everything I needed in store which was great, and they have such a gorgeous, quirky collection of candles, misters etc. I asked about recommendations for pet-friendly plants and the member of staff was able to point out the safest options, and was prepared to look into the toxicity of any other plants I liked the look of outside of the ones she recommended. I will definitely be back! 100% recommend!

Negative experience: Did a terrarium workshop with my friend two months ago for £45. Followed the care advice given but sadly two of my four plants died and nearly all of the plants died in my friends. Contacted Momento who told me to pop in and they would revamp the terrariums, made the 30 minute journey only to be told that it would cost £30 and £40 for my friend. This was never mentioned in any communication. Showed my message to staff. Poor service. Totally wasted trip. Nothing offered else offered to help solve the issue. A lovely experience ruined. Would not recommend shop or workshop to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Momento Flowers have been wonderful to deal with! Gorgeous flowers, quick delivery, and outstanding customer service. I am in Canada and have used them 2x in the span of 2 months for delivery in Belfast, and Molly has been wonderful ( and Ryan too :) to make small changes after I've ordered, and quickly answer questions over email. Its difficult to find such great customer service, especially overseas, but Momento is fantastic. Beautiful flowers and fantastic customer service - what else could you ask for? :) Keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: Memento was brilliant at supplying me with an order for their sympathy flower for my late mother in law. I ordered online and collected it 5 day later ( could have been before but wanted to go to the grave on a nice day) the flower are lovely and had a good weight to the this, as we knew they won't blow away from the grave stone. The picture is 4 day being in the November weather outside. I would reorder from them when I'm back to visit.

Negative experience: I was very disappointed with my valentines day flowers, considering the price my partner paid. They were so dark compared to the photos put onto the website, the colour scheme looked like something that should have been sat on top of a grave. Gary had contacted me when I complained but had just said they looked like they should and the photo on the website was taking outside in daylight which made it look brighter. I won't be using again unfortunately.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend 10/10! Im obsessed with my purchases and so impressed with how they were delivered so carefully all nicely packaged in bubble wrap. Delivered in perfect condition! I would advise that you look at the dimensions before ordering just so you are aware of the size of your plant. I did this before ordering and all plants came as described - which is perfect :) Thanks again Memento!

Negative experience: I never write bad reviews but I had such a negative experience here. I made an appointment several months ago to discuss flowers for an event and the person who sat down with me was incredibly rude from the beginning. He made snide comments criticising other customers' purchases (he told a story about a woman picking up a posey of pre-made flowers for her bridesmaids from the shop without them being bespoke and how he would never recommend that as they wouldn't look nice), and spoke about customers not knowing about flowers (laughing about customers wanting seasonal and sustainable flowers despite living in Ireland). It was very unprofessional and he was being unpleasant about what other people (including me) wanted. When I explained what I wanted, he said that if he did it for me he would not be happy to put his name on it as he wouldn't want people thinking it was his work. All I wanted was a smaller version of something on the Instagram page so I didn't think it was too out there. To be honest I think he decided I wasn't a valuable customer due to my small order, and he only tried to make conversation during the last 5 minutes of the appointment, but had spent the rest of it showing us that he clearly couldn't be bothered with it and didn't want to do flowers for me. The girl downstairs was lovely so I was disappointed with the way this meeting went, but I wouldn't be back.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic flowers and plants! Avoid buying supermarket/Ikea plants, the plants from this store are great quality and are very healthy. I have been buying flowers/plants from this shop for a couple of years and I would not go anywhere else.
