Fantastic experience: I received the most beautiful bouquet of flowers from my husband today courtesy of Penelope Flowers. The arrangement is the nicest one I have ever received, full of fabulous spring flowers . Thank you Penelope Flowers (and my hubbie )

Fantastic experience: We were absolutely blown away by the beautiful flower arrangements created for my father’s funeral at Kirkwoods nearby. Penny was so lovely and approachable, really taking the time to understand what we wanted. We asked for an uplifting, autumnal arrangement to reflect a celebration of life, and the result was perfect. The flowers were delivered directly to the funeral home, and we received so many compliments from friends and family. I would highly recommend Penelope’s for anyone looking for something truly special and a little bit different.

Negative experience: I asked for a small bouquet with one or two birds of paradise and some foliage. I was told that they wouldn’t be able to get the birds of paradise (I placed the order over a week before I needed the flowers). When I went to pick up the bigger, more expensive bouquet they suggested instead, there were birds of paradise on display beside the till available to purchase. A disappointing and frustrating experience.

Arrived in when the store had just opened- the staff were so helpful and suggested making up a boutique of flowers around the style I requested and it could be collected later in the day. Negative experience: Purchased bouquet and dead in 5 days and I mean dead 1 head of blue hydrangea at £6 was first to wither away the majority was made up of green leaves to be honest I was shocked when it arrived along with another bunch I had ordered £76 for mostly hedge I could have picked myself from my friends garden I will not be recommending this florist or ever visiting again most dissapointing bouquets I have ever seen

Fantastic experience: I bought some peony roses for my partner here. She had got some others recently that lasted a couple of days and went in the bin. The flowers from Penelope's are at 6 days now and still going strong. And wow! Incredible blooms. I've never seen a peony rose that's so huge! And the way the blooms change colour is so fantastic. We're both really enjoying the flowers. Every time we see them it lifts our mood! There was a slight mistake when I picked them up - they were missing one stem but this was rectified immediately. Support this excellent local business! And thank you again for the flowers. :)

Fantastic experience: Penelope Flowers is the closest florist to my house, and being new to the area, I tried them to get flowers for my Mum. Today would have been their 55th anniversary, and I promised my Dad I would always make sure she had yellow roses (her wedding bouquet) on the day. I went into the shop and had a wonderful chat with Jackie and placed the order. I came in today to pick them up, expecting just the dozen roses. I was blown away. They were beautifully wrapped and ready for transport, but more over they were magnificently arranged. She added foliage that complimented the colour, and these beautiful maple leaves (being Canadian it was a special touch). The flower arrangement is breathtaking. I brought them home to surprise my Mum and she was in tears. They were the perfect colour and they the aroma is consuming. Simply put, they are perfection in a vase. Thank you to Jackie and the ladies at Penelope Flowers. You made mine and my Mum's day. I will be back again. I would definitively and without any reservation recommend this florist time and time again. You have made a customer for life.

Fantastic experience: Always use Penelope's when I'm buying flowers. Excellent quality and always last for ages, staff are knowledgeable, pleasant and very helpful. The new shop is lovely and there's always a great selection of plants and flowers. Not the cheapest place, but you get what you pay for and anything I've ever bought at Penelope's has always been complimented for being top quality.

I worked with Julie, and she was so patient in working with us from outside of the country (we live in the US). She listened to everything I asked for and even helped in providing with some great ideas that I never even thought about for the big day. The whole process just felt so easy and in the end Penelope's Flowers delivered! I had so many compliments on my bouquet! It was absolutely gorgeous! The flowers were all so fresh, and it lasted the whole day and well into the next day as well. The bridesmaids bouquets complimented mine perfectly, and the buttonholes for the groomsmen were beautifully done as well. I am so happy I went with Penelope's Flowers! Fantastic experience: This is a small shop with a great selection of unusal flowers and arrangements. They have some beautiful displays which include flowers I have never seen before. Their plants are top quality and they have a wonderful selection on scented candles. Staff are friendly and they even run workshops. Parking is free too. This wee place us a winner and well worth a visit.
